MOV : എന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കും; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ധ്യാനം വിവേകം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കും.
KJV : My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart [shall be] of understanding.
YLT : My mouth speaketh wise things, And the meditations of my heart [are] things of understanding.

MOV : ഞാൻ സദൃശവാക്യത്തിന്നു എന്റെ ചെവിചായക്കും; കിന്നരനാദത്തോടെ എന്റെ കടങ്കഥ കേൾപ്പിക്കും.
KJV : I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
YLT : I incline to a simile mine ear, I open with a harp my riddle:
RV : I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
RSV : I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.

ERVEN : I listened to these sayings. And now, with my harp, I will sing and make the hidden meaning clear.

MOV : അകൃത്യം എന്റെ കുതികാലിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു എന്നെ വളയുന്ന ദുഷ്കാലത്തു ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?
KJV : Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, [when] the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
YLT : Why do I fear in days of evil? The iniquity of my supplanters doth compass me.
RV : Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when iniquity at my heels compasseth me about?
RSV : Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of my persecutors surrounds me,
ASV : Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, When iniquity at my heels compasseth me about?
ESV : Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of those who cheat me surrounds me,
ERVEN : Why should I be afraid when trouble comes? There is no need to fear when evil enemies surround me.

MOV : അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കയും ധനസമൃദ്ധിയിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
KJV : They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
YLT : Those trusting on their wealth, And in the multitude of their riches, Do shew themselves foolish.
RV : They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
RSV : men who trust in their wealth and boast of the abundance of their riches?

ERVEN : They think their wealth will protect them. They brag about how rich they are.

MOV : സഹോദരൻ ശവക്കുഴി കാണാതെ എന്നെന്നേക്കും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു
KJV : None [of them] can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
YLT : A brother doth no one at all ransom, He doth not give to God his atonement.
RV : None {cf15i of them} can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
RSV : Truly no man can ransom himself, or give to God the price of his life,
ASV : None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him;
ESV : Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life,
ERVEN : But no one has enough to buy back a life, and you cannot bribe God.

MOV : അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനോ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില കൊടുപ്പാനോ ആർക്കും കഴികയില്ല.
KJV : (For the redemption of their soul [is] precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
YLT : And precious [is] the redemption of their soul, And it hath ceased -- to the age.

RSV : for the ransom of his life is costly, and can never suffice,

ERVEN : You will never have enough to buy the right to live forever and keep your body out of the grave.

MOV : ജ്ഞാനികൾ മരിക്കയും മൂഢനും മൃഗപ്രായനും ഒരുപോലെ നശിക്കയും തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പാദ്യം മറ്റുള്ളവർക്കു വിട്ടേച്ചു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.
KJV : For he seeth [that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
YLT : For he seeth wise men die, Together the foolish and brutish perish, And have left to others their wealth.
RV : For he seeth that wise men die, the fool and the brutish together perish, and leave their wealth to others.
RSV : Yea, he shall see that even the wise die, the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.

MOV : തങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനങ്ങൾ ശാശ്വതമായും തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങൾ തലമുറതലമുറയായും നില്ക്കും. എന്നിങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തർഗ്ഗതം; തങ്ങളുടെ നിലങ്ങൾക്കു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പേരിടുന്നു.
KJV : Their inward thought [is, that] their houses [shall continue] for ever, [and] their dwelling places to all generations; they call [their] lands after their own names.
YLT : Their heart [is]: Their houses [are] to the age, Their tabernacles to all generations. They proclaimed their names over the lands.

ERVEN : The grave will be their new home forever. And how much land they owned will not make any difference.

MOV : എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യൻ ബഹുമാനത്തിൽ നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല. അവൻ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കു തുല്യൻ.
KJV : Nevertheless man [being] in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts [that] perish.
YLT : And man in honour doth not remain, He hath been like the beasts, they have been cut off.
RV : But man abideth not in honour: he is like the beasts that perish.
RSV : Man cannot abide in his pomp, he is like the beasts that perish.

ERVEN : People might be wealthy, but they cannot stay here forever. They will die like the animals.

MOV : ഇതു സ്വയാശ്രയക്കാരുടെ ഗതിയാകുന്നു; അവരുടെ അനന്തരവരോ അവരുടെ വാക്കുകളിൽ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു. സേലാ
KJV : This their way [is] their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.

MOV : അവരെ പാതാളത്തിന്നു ആടുകളായി ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; മൃത്യു അവരെ മേയിക്കുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവർ പുലർച്ചെക്കു അവരുടെമേൽ വാഴും; അവരുടെ രൂപം ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; പാതാളം അവരുടെ പാർപ്പിടം.
KJV : Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
YLT : As sheep for Sheol they have set themselves, Death doth afflict them, And the upright rule over them in the morning, And their form [is] for consumption. Sheol [is] a dwelling for him.
RV : They are appointed as a flock for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd: and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, that there be no habitation for it.
RSV : Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; straight to the grave they descend, and their form shall waste away; Sheol shall be their home.

ESV : Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd, and the upright shall rule over them in the morning. Their form shall be consumed in Sheol, with no place to dwell.
ERVEN : They are just like sheep, but the grave will be their pen. Death will be their shepherd. When morning comes, the good people will enjoy victory, as the bodies of the proud slowly rot in the grave, far away from their fancy houses.

MOV : എങ്കിലും എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ ദൈവം പാതാളത്തിന്റെ അധികാരത്തിൽനിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കും; അവൻ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും. സേലാ.
KJV : But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

KJV : Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

KJV : For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
YLT : For at his death he receiveth nothing, His honour goeth not down after him.

MOV : അവൻ ജീവനോടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ താൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; നീ നിനക്കു തന്നേ നന്മ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യർ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ത്തും.
KJV : Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and [men] will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself.
YLT : For his soul in his life he blesseth, (And they praise thee when thou dost well for thyself.)
RV : Though while he lived he blessed his soul, and men praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself,

KJV : He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
YLT : It cometh to the generation of his fathers, For ever they see not the light.
