KJV : Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman.
YLT : And concerning the things of which ye wrote to me: good [it is] for a man not to touch a woman,
RV : Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
RSV : Now concerning the matters about which you wrote. It is well for a man not to touch a woman.

ESV : Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: "It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman."
ERVEN : Now I will discuss the things you wrote me about. You asked if it is better for a man not to have any sexual relations at all.

MOV : എങ്കിലും ദുർന്നടപ്പുനിമിത്തം ഓരോരുത്തന്നു സ്വന്തഭാര്യയും ഓരോരുത്തിക്കു സ്വന്തഭർത്താവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
KJV : Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
YLT : and because of the whoredom let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her proper husband;
RV : But, because of fornications, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
RSV : But because of the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

KJV : Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

MOV : പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കു അവസരമുണ്ടാവാൻ ഒരു സമയത്തേക്കു പരസ്പരസമ്മതത്തോടെ അല്ലാതെ തമ്മിൽ വേറുപെട്ടിരിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ അജിതേന്ദ്രിയത്വം നിമിത്തം സാത്താൻ നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വീണ്ടും ചേർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ.
KJV : Defraud ye not one the other, except [it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
YLT : Defraud not one another, except by consent for a time, that ye may be free for fasting and prayer, and again may come together, that the Adversary may not tempt you because of your incontinence;

ERVEN : Don't refuse to give your bodies to each other. But you might both agree to stay away from sex for a while so that you can give your time to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not be able to tempt you in your weakness.

MOV : ഞാൻ ഇതു കല്പനയായിട്ടല്ല അനുവാദമായിട്ടത്രേ പറയുന്നതു.
KJV : But I speak this by permission, [and] not of commandment.
YLT : and this I say by way of concurrence -- not of command,

ERVEN : I say this only to give you permission to be separated for a time. It is not a rule.

MOV : സകല മനുഷ്യരും എന്നെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു. എങ്കിലും ഒരുവന്നു ഇങ്ങനെയും ഒരുവന്നു അങ്ങനെയും താന്താന്റെ കൃപാവരം ദൈവം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

MOV : വിവാഹം കഴിയാത്തവരോടും വിധവമാരോടും: അവർ എന്നെപ്പോലെ പാർത്തുകൊണ്ടാൽ അവർക്കു കൊള്ളാം എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു.
KJV : I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

MOV : വിവാഹം കഴിഞ്ഞവരോടോ ഞാനല്ല കർത്താവു തന്നേ കല്പിക്കുന്നതു:
KJV : And unto the married I command, [yet] not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from [her] husband:
YLT : and to the married I announce -- not I, but the Lord -- let not a wife separate from a husband:

ERVEN : Now, I have a command for those who are married. Actually, it is not from me; it is what the Lord commanded. A wife should not leave her husband.

KJV : But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to [her] husband: and let not the husband put away [his] wife.

KJV : But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
YLT : And to the rest I speak -- not the Lord -- if any brother hath a wife unbelieving, and she is pleased to dwell with him, let him not send her away;
RV : But to the rest say I, not the Lord: If any brother hath an unbelieving wife, and she is content to dwell with him, let him not leave her.
RSV : To the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her.

ERVEN : The advice I have for the others is from me. The Lord did not give us any teaching about this. If you have a wife who is not a believer, you should not divorce her if she will continue to live with you.

KJV : For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

ESV : For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
ERVEN : The husband who is not a believer is set apart for God through his believing wife. And the wife who is not a believer is set apart for God through her believing husband. If this were not true, your children would be unfit for God's use. But now they are set apart for him.

MOV : അവിശ്വാസി വേറുപിരിയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ പിരിയട്ടെ; ഈ വകയിൽ സഹോദരനോ സഹോദരിയോ ബദ്ധരായിരിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്നാൽ സമാധാനത്തിൽ ജീവിപ്പാൻ ദൈവം നമ്മെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such [cases:] but God hath called us to peace.
YLT : And, if the unbelieving doth separate himself -- let him separate himself: the brother or the sister is not under servitude in such [cases], and in peace hath God called us;
RV : Yet if the unbelieving departeth, let him depart: the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such {cf15i cases}: but God hath called us in peace.
RSV : But if the unbelieving partner desires to separate, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound. For God has called us to peace.

MOV : സ്ത്രീയേ, നീ ഭർത്താവിന്നു രക്ഷവരുത്തും എന്നു നിനക്കു എങ്ങനെ അറിയാം? പുരുഷാ, നീ ഭാര്യക്കു രക്ഷ വരുത്തും എന്നു നിനക്കു എങ്ങനെ അറിയാം?
KJV : For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save [thy] husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save [thy] wife?
YLT : for what, hast thou known, O wife, whether the husband thou shalt save? or what, hast thou known, O husband, whether the wife thou shalt save?

ERVEN : Wives, maybe you will save your husband; and husbands, maybe you will save your wife. You don't know now what will happen later.

MOV : എന്നാൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു കർത്താവു വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തതുപോലെയും ഓരോരുത്തനെ ദൈവം വിളിച്ചതുപോലെയും അവനവൻ നടക്കട്ടെ; ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ഞാൻ സകല സഭകളിലും ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതു.
KJV : But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
YLT : if not, as God did distribute to each, as the Lord hath called each -- so let him walk; and thus in all the assemblies do I direct:

MOV : ഒരുത്തൻ പരിച്ഛേദനയോടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവോ? അഗ്രചർമ്മം വരുത്തരുതു; ഒരുത്തൻ അഗ്രചർമ്മത്തോടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവോ? പരിച്ഛേദന ഏൽക്കരുതു.
KJV : Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
YLT : being circumcised -- was any one called? let him not become uncircumcised; in uncircumcision was any one called? let him not be circumcised;
RV : Was any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Hath any been called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
RSV : Was any one at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was any one at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision.

ERVEN : If a man was already circumcised when he was chosen, he should not change his circumcision. If a man was without circumcision when he was chosen, he should not be circumcised.

KJV : Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

KJV : Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
YLT : Each in the calling in which he was called -- in this let him remain;
RV : Let each man abide in that calling wherein he was called.
RSV : Every one should remain in the state in which he was called.
ASV : Let each man abide in that calling wherein he was called.
ESV : Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called.
ERVEN : Each one of you should stay the way you were when God chose you.

MOV : നീ ദാസനായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവോ? വ്യസനിക്കരുതു. സ്വതന്ത്രൻ ആകുവാൻ കഴിയുമെങ്കിലും അതിൽ തന്നേ ഇരുന്നുകൊൾക.
KJV : Art thou called [being] a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use [it] rather.
YLT : a servant -- wast thou called? be not anxious; but if also thou art able to become free -- use [it] rather;
RV : Wast thou called being a bondservant? care not for it: but if thou canst become free, use {cf15i it} rather.
RSV : Were you a slave when called? Never mind. But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.

MOV : ദാസനായി കർത്താവിൽ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ കർത്താവിന്റെ സ്വതന്ത്രൻ ആകുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ സ്വതന്ത്രനായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസനാകുന്നു.
KJV : For he that is called in the Lord, [being] a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, [being] free, is Christ’s servant.
YLT : for he who [is] in the Lord -- having been called a servant -- is the Lord`s freedman: in like manner also he the freeman, having been called, is servant of Christ:
RV : For he that was called in the Lord, being a bondservant, is the Lord-s freedman: likewise he that was called, being free, is Christ-s bondservant.
RSV : For he who was called in the Lord as a slave is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a slave of Christ.

ERVEN : If you were a slave when the Lord chose you, you are now free in the Lord. You belong to the Lord. In the same way, if you were free when you were chosen, you are now Christ's slave.

MOV : നിങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കുവാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യർക്കു ദാസന്മാരാകരുതു.
KJV : Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
