ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಧೂಪದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಧೂಪ ಹಾಕಿ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಸಭೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಮಾಡು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಕೋಪವು ಹೊರಟು ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವುಂಟಾಗಿ ಈ ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಘೋರವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿದೆ. ನೀನು ಧೂಪಾರತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದ ಕೆಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಧೂಪಹಾಕಿ ಸಮೂಹದವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬೇಗ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
