MOV : അനന്തരം അവളുടെ അമ്മാവിയമ്മയായ നൊവൊമി അവളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: മകളേ, നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിനക്കു വേണ്ടി ഒരു വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലം അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടയോ?
KJV : Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
YLT : And Naomi her mother-in-law saith to her, `My daughter, do not I seek for thee rest, that it may be well with thee?
RV : And Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
RSV : Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, "My daughter, should I not seek a home for you, that it may be well with you?
ASV : And Naomi her mother-in-law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
ESV : Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, "My daughter, should I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?
ERVEN : Then Naomi, Ruth's mother-in-law, said to her, "My daughter, maybe I should find a husband and a good home for you. That would be good for you.

MOV : നീ ചേർന്നിരുന്ന ബാല്യക്കാരത്തികളുടെ യജമാനനായ ബോവസ് നമ്മുടെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരനല്ലയോ? അവൻ ഇന്നു രാത്രി കളത്തിൽ യവം തൂറ്റുന്നു.
KJV : And now [is] not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.
YLT : and now, is not Boaz of our acquaintance, with whose young women thou hast been? lo, he is winnowing the threshing-floor of barley to-night,
RV : And now is there not Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to-night in the threshing-floor.
RSV : Now is not Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? See, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor.

ESV : Is not Boaz our relative, with whose young women you were? See, he is winnowing barley tonight at the threshing floor.
ERVEN : Boaz is our close relative. You worked with his women servants. Tonight he will be working at the threshing floor.

MOV : ആകയാൽ നീ കുളിച്ചു തൈലം പൂശി വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു കളത്തിൽ ചെല്ലുക; ആയാൾ തിന്നു കുടിച്ചു കഴിയുംവരെ നിന്നെ കാണരുതു.
KJV : Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: [but] make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
YLT : and thou hast bathed, and anointed thyself, and put thy garments upon thee, and gone down to the threshing-floor; let not thyself be known to the man till he complete to eat and to drink;
RV : Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put on thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the threshing-floor: but make not thyself known to the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
RSV : Wash therefore and anoint yourself, and put on your best clothes and go down to the threshing floor; but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.
ASV : Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the threshing-floor, but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
ESV : Wash therefore and anoint yourself, and put on your cloak and go down to the threshing floor, but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.
ERVEN : Go wash yourself and get dressed. Put on a nice dress, and go down to the threshing floor. But don't let Boaz see you until he has finished eating his dinner.

MOV : ഉറങ്ങുവാൻ പോകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ കിടക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം മനസ്സിലാക്കി ചെന്നു അവന്റെ കാലിന്മേലുള്ള പുതപ്പു പൊക്കി അവിടെ കിടന്നു കൊൾക; എന്നാൽ നീ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണമെന്നു അവൻ നിനക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതരും.
KJV : And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
YLT : and it cometh to pass when he lieth down, that thou hast known the place where he lieth down, and hast gone in, and uncovered his feet, and lain down, -- and he doth declare to thee that which thou dost do.`
RV : And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
RSV : But when he lies down, observe the place where he lies; then, go and uncover his feet and lie down; and he will tell you what to do."
ASV : And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
ESV : But when he lies down, observe the place where he lies. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down, and he will tell you what to do."
ERVEN : After he eats, he will lie down to rest. Watch him so that you will know where he lies down. Go there and lift the cover off his feet. Then lie down there with Boaz. He will tell you what you should do about marriage."

MOV : അതിന്നു അവൾ: നീ പറയുന്നതൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ ചെയ്യാം എന്നു അവളോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.
YLT : And she saith unto her, `All that thou sayest -- I do.`
RV : And she said unto her, All that thou sayest I will do.
RSV : And she replied, "All that you say I will do."
ASV : And she said unto her, All that thou sayest I will do.
ESV : And she replied, "All that you say I will do."
ERVEN : Then Ruth answered, "I will do what you say."

MOV : ബോവസ് തിന്നു കുടിച്ചു ഹൃദയം തെളിഞ്ഞശേഷം യവക്കൂമ്പാരത്തിന്റെ ഒരു വശത്തു ചെന്നു കിടന്നു; അവളും പതുക്കെ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ കാലിന്മേലുള്ള പുതപ്പു പൊക്കി അവിടെ കിടന്നു.

ERVEN : After eating and drinking, Boaz was very satisfied. He went to lie down near the pile of grain. Then Ruth went to him very quietly and lifted the cover from his feet and lay down by his feet.

KJV : And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.
YLT : And it cometh to pass, at the middle of the night, that the man trembleth, and turneth himself, and lo, a woman is lying at his feet.

ERVEN : About midnight, Boaz rolled over in his sleep and woke up. He was very surprised. There was a woman lying near his feet.

MOV : ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദാസിയായ രൂത്ത്; നിന്റെ പുതപ്പു അടിയന്റെ മേൽ ഇടേണമേ; നീ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനല്ലോ എന്നു അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And he said, Who [art] thou? And she answered, I [am] Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou [art] a near kinsman.
YLT : And he saith, `Who [art] thou?` and she saith, `I [am] Ruth thy handmaid, and thou hast spread thy skirt over thy handmaid, for thou [art] a redeemer.`
RV : And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
RSV : He said, "Who are you?" And she answered, "I am Ruth, your maidservant; spread your skirt over your maidservant, for you are next of kin."
ASV : And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thy handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thy handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
ESV : He said, "Who are you?" And she answered, "I am Ruth, your servant. Spread your wings over your servant, for you are a redeemer."
ERVEN : Boaz said, "Who are you?" She said, "I am Ruth, your servant girl. Spread your cover over me. You are my protector."

MOV : അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: മകളേ, നീ യഹോവയാൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൾ; ദരിദ്രന്മാരോ ധനവാന്മാരോ ആയ ബാല്യക്കാരെ നീ പിന്തുടരാതിരിക്കയാൽ ആദ്യത്തേതിൽ അധികം ദയ ഒടുവിൽ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : And he said, Blessed [be] thou of the LORD, my daughter: [for] thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
YLT : And he saith, `Blessed [art] thou of Jehovah, my daughter; thou hast dealt more kindly at the latter end than at the beginning -- not to go after the young men, either poor or rich.
RV : And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
RSV : And he said, "May you be blessed by the LORD, my daughter; you have made this last kindness greater than the first, in that you have not gone after young men, whether poor or rich.
ASV : And he said, Blessed be thou of Jehovah, my daughter: thou hast showed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
ESV : And he said, "May you be blessed by the LORD, my daughter. You have made this last kindness greater than the first in that you have not gone after young men, whether poor or rich.
ERVEN : Then Boaz said, "May the Lord bless you, young woman. You have been very kind to me. Your kindness to me is greater than the kindness you showed to Naomi in the beginning. You could have looked for a young man to marry, rich or poor. But you did not.

MOV : ആകയാൽ മകളേ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നീ ചോദിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ ചെയ്തുതരാം; നീ ഉത്തമ സ്ത്രീ എന്നു എന്റെ ജനമായ പട്ടണക്കാർക്കും എല്ലാവർക്കും അറിയാം.
KJV : And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou [art] a virtuous woman.
YLT : And now, my daughter, fear not, all that thou sayest I do to thee, for all the gate of my people doth know that thou [art] a virtuous woman.
RV : And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou sayest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
RSV : And now, my daughter, do not fear, I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of worth.
ASV : And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou sayest; for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a worthy woman.
ESV : And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a worthy woman.
ERVEN : Now, young woman, don't be afraid. I will do what you ask. All the people in our town know that you are a very good woman.

MOV : ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ എന്നതു സത്യം തന്നേ; എങ്കിലും എന്നെക്കാൾ അടുത്ത ഒരു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ ഉണ്ടു.
KJV : And now it is true that I [am thy] near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.
YLT : And now, surely, true, that I [am] a redeemer, but also there is a redeemer nearer than I.
RV : And now it is true that I am a near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.
RSV : And now it is true that I am a near kinsman, yet there is a kinsman nearer than I.
ASV : And now it is true that I am a near kinsman; howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.
ESV : And now it is true that I am a redeemer. Yet there is a redeemer nearer than I.
ERVEN : And it is true, I am a close relative. But there is a man who is a closer relative to you than I.

MOV : ഈ രാത്രി താമസിക്ക; നാളെ അവൻ നിനക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരന്റെ മുറ നിവർത്തിച്ചാൽ കൊള്ളാം; അവൻ നിവർത്തിക്കട്ടെ; വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരന്റെ മുറ നിവർത്തിപ്പാൻ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിലോ യഹോവയാണ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരന്റെ മുറ നിർവർത്തിച്ചുതരും; രാവിലെവരെ കിടന്നുകൊൾക.
KJV : Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, [that] if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman’s part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, [as] the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.
YLT : Lodge to night, and it hath been in the morning, if he doth redeem thee, well: he redeemeth; and if he delight not to redeem thee, then I have redeemed thee -- I; Jehovah liveth! lie down till the morning.`

ESV : Remain tonight, and in the morning, if he will redeem you, good; let him do it. But if he is not willing to redeem you, then, as the LORD lives, I will redeem you. Lie down until the morning."
ERVEN : Stay here tonight. In the morning we will see if he will help you. If he decides to help you, that is fine. If he refuses to help, I promise, as the Lord lives, I will marry you and buy back Elimelech's land for you. So lie here until morning."

MOV : അങ്ങനെ അവൾ രാവിലെവരെ അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ കിടന്നു; ഒരു സ്ത്രീ കളത്തിൽ വന്നതു ആരും അറിയരുതെന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ആളറിയാറാകുംമുമ്പെ അവൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

ERVEN : So Ruth lay near Boaz's feet until morning. She got up while it was still dark, before it was light enough for people to recognize each other. Boaz said to her, "We will keep it a secret that you came here to me last night."

MOV : നീ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പുതപ്പു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു പിടിക്ക എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവൾ അതു പിടിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവൻ ആറിടങ്ങഴി യവം അതിൽ അളന്നുകൊടുത്തു; അവൾ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പോയി.
KJV : Also he said, Bring the vail that [thou hast] upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six [measures] of barley, and laid [it] on her: and she went into the city.
YLT : And he saith, `Give the covering which [is] on thee, and keep hold on it;` and she keepeth hold on it, and he measureth six [measures] of barley, and layeth [it] on her; and he goeth into the city.
RV : And he said, Bring the mantle that is upon thee, and hold it; and she held it: and he measured six {cf15i measures} of barley, and laid it on her: and he went into the city.
RSV : And he said, "Bring the mantle you are wearing and hold it out." So she held it, and he measured out six measures of barley, and laid it upon her; then she went into the city.
ASV : And he said, Bring the mantle that is upon thee, and hold it; and she held it; and he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and he went into the city.
ESV : And he said, "Bring the garment you are wearing and hold it out." So she held it, and he measured out six measures of barley and put it on her. Then she went into the city.
ERVEN : Then he said, "Bring me your coat. Now, hold it open." So Ruth held her coat open, and Boaz measured out about a bushel of barley as a gift to Naomi, her mother-in-law. Boaz then wrapped it in Ruth's coat, and put it on her back. Then he went to the city.

MOV : അവൾ അമ്മാവിയമ്മയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ: നിന്റെ കാര്യം എന്തായി മകളേ എന്നു അവൾ ചോദിച്ചു; ആയാൾ തനിക്കു ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും അവൾ അറിയിച്ചു.
KJV : And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who [art] thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.
YLT : And she cometh in unto her mother-in-law, and she saith, `Who [art] thou, my daughter?` and she declareth to her all that the man hath done to her.
RV : And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.
RSV : And when she came to her mother-in-law, she said, "How did you fare, my daughter?" Then she told her all that the man had done for her,

ESV : And when she came to her mother-in-law, she said, "How did you fare, my daughter?" Then she told her all that the man had done for her,
ERVEN : Ruth went to the home of her motherin- law, Naomi. Naomi went to the door and asked, "Who's there?" Ruth went in telling Naomi everything that Boaz did for her.

MOV : അമ്മാവിയമ്മയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വെറുങ്കയ്യായി പോകരുതു എന്നു അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു ഈ ആറിടങ്ങഴി യവവും എനിക്കു തന്നു എന്നു അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And she said, These six [measures] of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.
YLT : And she saith, `These six [measures] of barley he hath given to me, for he said, Thou dost not go in empty unto thy mother-in-law.`
RV : And she said, These six {cf15i measures} of barley gave he me; for he said, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.
RSV : saying, "These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said, `You must not go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law.'"
ASV : And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said, Go not empty unto thy mother-in-law.
ESV : saying, "These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said to me, 'You must not go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law.'"
ERVEN : She said, "Boaz gave me this barley as a gift for you. He said that I must not go home without bringing a gift for you."

MOV : അതിന്നു അവൾ: എന്റെ മകളേ, ഈ കാര്യം എന്താകുമെന്നു അറിയുവോളം നീ അനങ്ങാതിരിക്ക; ഇന്നു ഈ കാര്യം തീർക്കുംവരെ ആയാൾ സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
YLT : And she saith, `Sit still, my daughter, till thou dost know how the matter falleth, for the man doth not rest except he hath completed the matter to-day.`
RV : Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
RSV : She replied, "Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest, but will settle the matter today."
ASV : Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall; for the man will not rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
ESV : She replied, "Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest but will settle the matter today."
ERVEN : Naomi said, "Daughter, be patient until we hear what happens. Boaz will not rest until he has finished doing what he should do. We will know what will happen before the day is ended."
