KJV : Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, {SCJ}If I will that he tarry till I come, what [is that] to thee? {SCJ.}
YLT : yet Jesus did not say to him, that he doth not die, but, `If him I will to remain till I come, what -- to thee?`
RV : This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what {cf15i is that} to thee?
RSV : The saying spread abroad among the brethren that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?"
ASV : This saying therefore went forth among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, that he should not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
ESV : So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?"
ERVEN : So a story spread among the followers of Jesus. They were saying that this follower would not die. But Jesus did not say he would not die. He only said, "Maybe I want him to live until I come. That should not matter to you."

ESV : This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

KJV : And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
YLT : And there are also many other things -- as many as Jesus did -- which, if they may be written one by one, not even the world itself I think to have place for the books written. Amen.
RV : And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.
RSV : But there are also many other things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
ASV : And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.
ESV : Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.
ERVEN : There are many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were written down, I think the whole world would not be big enough for all the books that would be written.
