MOV : ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളവാനും എന്റെ ജനത്തിലെ എളിയവരുടെ അവകാശം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുവാനും വിധവമാർ തങ്ങൾക്കു കൊള്ളയായ്തീരുവാനും അനാഥന്മാരെ തങ്ങൾക്കു ഇരയാക്കുവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം
KJV : Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness [which] they have prescribed;
YLT : Wo [to] those decreeing decrees of iniquity, And writers who have prescribed perverseness.
RV : Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that write perverseness:
RSV : Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression,

ERVEN : Just look at those lawmakers who write evil laws and make life hard for the people.

KJV : To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and [that] they may rob the fatherless!

MOV : സന്ദർശനദിവസത്തിലും ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്ന വിനാശത്തിങ്കലും നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യും? സഹായത്തിന്നായിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ആരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിപ്പോകും? നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വം നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളും?
KJV : And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation [which] shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
YLT : And what do ye at a day of inspection? And at desolation? -- from afar it cometh. Near whom do ye flee for help? And where do ye leave your honour?

ERVEN : Lawmakers, you will have to explain what you have done. What will you do then? Your destruction is coming from a faraway country. Where will you run for help? Your money and your riches will not help you.

ERVEN : You will have to bow down like a prisoner. You will fall down like a dead man, but that will not help you. God will still be angry and ready to punish you.

KJV : I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

ERVEN : I will send Assyria to fight against the people who do evil. I am angry with them, and I will command Assyria to fight against them. Assyria will defeat them and take their wealth. Israel will be like dirt in the streets for Assyria to walk on.

KJV : As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
YLT : As my hand hath got to the kingdoms of a worthless thing, and their graven images, [Greater] than Jerusalem and than Samaria,

MOV : ഞാൻ ശമർയ്യയോടും അതിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിലെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?
KJV : Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?
YLT : Do I not -- as I have done to Samaria, And to her worthless things, So do to Jerusalem and to her grievous things?

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു കർത്താവു സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയൊക്കെയും തീർത്തശേഷം, ഞാൻ അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തെയും അവന്റെ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തിന്റെ മഹിമയെയും സന്ദർശിക്കും.
KJV : Wherefore it shall come to pass, [that] when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
YLT : And it hath come to pass, When the Lord doth fulfil all His work In mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I see concerning the fruit of the greatness Of the heart of the king of Asshur. And concerning the glory of the height of his eyes.

ESV : When the Lord has finished all his work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, he will punish the speech of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the boastful look in his eyes.
ERVEN : When the Lord finishes doing what he planned to Jerusalem and Mount Zion, he will punish Assyria. The king of Assyria is very proud. His pride made him do many bad things, so God will punish him.

KJV : For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done [it,] and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant [man: ]
YLT : For he hath said, `By the power of my hand I have wrought, And by my wisdom, for I have been intelligent, And I remove borders of the peoples, And their chief ones I have spoiled, And I put down as a mighty one the inhabitants,

ERVEN : The king of Assyria said, "I am very wise. By my own wisdom and power I have done many great things. I have defeated many nations. I have taken their wealth and their people as slaves. I am a very powerful man.

KJV : And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs [that are] left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
YLT : And my hand as to a nest Getteth to the wealth of the peoples, And as a gathering of forsaken eggs All the earth I -- I have gathered, And there hath not been one moving wing, Or opening mouth, or whispering.`

ERVEN : With my own hands I have taken the riches of all these people—like someone taking eggs from a bird's nest. A bird often leaves its nest and eggs, and there is nothing to protect the nest. There is no bird to chirp and fight with its wings and beak, so anyone can come take the eggs. And there is no one to stop me from taking all the people on earth."

MOV : വെട്ടുന്നവനോടു കോടാലി വമ്പു പറയുമോ? വലിക്കുന്നവനോടു ഈർച്ചവാൾ വലിപ്പം കാട്ടുമോ? അതോ, പിടിക്കുന്നവനെ വടി പൊക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മരമല്ലാത്തവനെ കോൽ പൊന്തിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ആകുന്നു.
KJV : Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? [or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake [itself] against them that lift it up, [or] as if the staff should lift up [itself, as if it were] no wood.
YLT : -- Doth the axe glorify itself Against him who is hewing with it? Doth the saw magnify itself Against him who is shaking it? As a rod waving those lifting it up! As a staff lifting up that which is not wood!

ERVEN : An ax is not better than the one who cuts with it. A saw is not better than the one who uses it. Is a stick stronger than the one who picks it up? It can't do anything to the person who is using it to punish someone!

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു അവന്റെ പുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ക്ഷയം അയക്കും; അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൻ കീഴെ തീ കത്തുംപോലെ ഒന്നു കത്തും.
KJV : Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.
YLT : Therefore doth the Lord, the Lord of Hosts, Send among his fat ones leanness, And under his honour He kindleth a burning As the burning of a fire.

ERVEN : But Assyria doesn't understand this. So the Lord All-Powerful will send a terrible disease against him. He will lose his wealth and power like a sick man losing weight. Then Assyria's glory will be destroyed. It will be like a fire burning until everything is gone.

MOV : യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ഒരു തീയായും അവന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഒരു ജ്വാലയായും ഇരിക്കും; അതു കത്തി, ഒരു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

KJV : And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.
YLT : And the honour of his forest, and his fruitful field, From soul even unto flesh He doth consume, And it hath been as the fainting of a standard-bearer.
