KJV : Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.
YLT : Then Darius the king made a decree, and they sought in the house of the books of the treasuries placed there in Babylon,

KJV : In the first year of Cyrus the king [the same] Cyrus the king made a decree [concerning] the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, [and] the breadth thereof threescore cubits;

ERVEN : During the first year that Cyrus was king, he gave an order about the Temple of God in Jerusalem. The order said: Let the Temple of God be rebuilt. It will be a place to offer sacrifices. Let its foundations be built. The Temple must be 60 cubits high and 60 cubits wide.

KJV : [With] three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expences be given out of the king’s house:

ERVEN : Its wall will be in layers that have three rows of large stones and one row of wooden timbers. The cost of building the Temple must be paid for from the king's treasury.

MOV : അതു കൂടാതെ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ യെരൂശലേമിലെ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽനിന്നു എടുത്തു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ദൈവാലയംവക പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയുംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും അവ യെരൂശലേമിലെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ അതതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു വരുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ വെക്കുകയും വേണം.
KJV : And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, [every one] to his place, and place [them] in the house of God.

ERVEN : Also, the gold and silver things from God's Temple must be put back in their places. Nebuchadnezzar took them from the Temple in Jerusalem and brought them to Babylon. They must be put back in God's Temple.

ERVEN : Now then, I, Darius, order you Tattenai, governor of the area west of the Euphrates River, and Shethar Bozenai, and all the officials living in that province, to stay away from Jerusalem.

ERVEN : Don't bother the workers. Don't try to stop the work on this Temple of God. Let the Jewish governor and the Jewish leaders rebuild it. Let them rebuild God's Temple in the same place it was in the past.

MOV : ഈ ദൈവാലയം പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാർക്കു ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ കല്പിക്കുന്നതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നദിക്കു അക്കരെ പിരിയുന്ന കരമായ രാജാവിന്റെ മുതലിൽനിന്നു ആ ആളുകൾക്കു കാലതാമസം കൂടാതെ കൃത്യമായി ചെലവും കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
KJV : Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king’s goods, [even] of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expences be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
YLT : `And by me is made a decree concerning that which ye do with the elders of these Jews to build this house of God, that of the riches of the king, that [are] of the tribute beyond the river, speedily let the outlay be given to these men, that they cease not;

ESV : Moreover, I make a decree regarding what you shall do for these elders of the Jews for the rebuilding of this house of God. The cost is to be paid to these men in full and without delay from the royal revenue, the tribute of the province from Beyond the River.
ERVEN : Now I give this order. You must do this for the Jewish leaders building God's Temple: The cost of the building must be fully paid from the king's treasury. The money will come from the taxes collected from the provinces in the area west of the Euphrates River. Do these things quickly, so the work will not stop.

MOV : അവർ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയുള്ള യാഗം അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും രാജാവിന്റെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെയും ക്ഷേമത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും
KJV : And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which [are] at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:

ERVEN : Give them anything they need. If they need young bulls, rams, or male lambs for sacrifices to the God of Heaven, give these things to them. If the priests of Jerusalem ask for wheat, salt, wine, and oil, give these things to them every day without fail.

MOV : സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പാൻ അവർക്കു ആവശ്യമുള്ള കാളക്കിടാക്കൾ, ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാർ, കുഞ്ഞാടുകൾ, കോതമ്പു, ഉപ്പു, വീഞ്ഞു, എണ്ണ എന്നിവയും യെരൂശലേമിലെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ പറയുംപോലെ ദിവസംപ്രതി കുറവു കൂടാതെ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
KJV : That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.

KJV : Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
YLT : `And by me is made a decree, that any one who changeth this thing, let wood be pulled down from his house, and being raised up, let him be smitten on it, and his house let be made a dunghill for this.
RV : Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let a beam be pulled out from his house, and let him be lifted up and fastened thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this:

ERVEN : Also, I give this order: If anyone changes this order, a wooden beam must be pulled from their house and pushed through their body. Then their house must be destroyed until it is only a pile of rocks.

MOV : ഇതു മാറ്റുവാനും യെരൂശലേമിലെ ഈ ദൈവാലയം നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും തുനിയുന്ന ഏതു രാജാവിന്നു ജനത്തിന്നും തന്റെ നാമം അവിടെ വസിക്കുമാറാക്കിയ ദൈവം നിർമ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തും. ദാർയ്യാവേശായ ഞാൻ കല്പന കൊടുക്കുന്നു; ഇതു ജാഗ്രതയോടെ നിവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
KJV : And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter [and] to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
YLT : And God, who caused His name to dwell there, doth cast down any king and people that putteth forth his hand to change, to destroy this house of God that [is] in Jerusalem; I Darius have made a decree; speedily let it be done.`
RV : and the God that hath caused his name to dwell there overthrow all kings and peoples, that shall put forth their hand to alter {cf15i the same}, to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with all diligence.
RSV : May the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow any king or people that shall put forth a hand to alter this, or to destroy this house of God which is in Jerusalem. I Darius make a decree; let it be done with all diligence."
ASV : and the God that hath caused his name to dwell there overthrow all kings and peoples that shall put forth their hand to alter the same, to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with all diligence.
ESV : May the God who has caused his name to dwell there overthrow any king or people who shall put out a hand to alter this, or to destroy this house of God that is in Jerusalem. I Darius make a decree; let it be done with all diligence."
ERVEN : God put his name there in Jerusalem. May God defeat any king or other person who tries to change this order. If anyone tries to destroy this Temple in Jerusalem, may God destroy that person. I, Darius, have ordered it. This order must be obeyed quickly and completely.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ നദിക്കു ഇക്കരെയുള്ള ദേശാധിപതിയായ തത്നായിയും ശെഥർ-ബോസ്നായിയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടക്കാരും ദാർയ്യാവേശ്‌രാജാവു കല്പനയയച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ ചെയ്തു.
KJV : Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shethar-boznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.
YLT : Then Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shethar-Boznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king hath sent, so they have done speedily;
RV : Then Tattenai, the governor beyond the river; Shethar-bozenai, and their companions, because that Darius the king had sent, did accordingly with all diligence.

ERVEN : So Tattenai the governor of the area west of the Euphrates River, Shethar Bozenai, and the men with them obeyed King Darius' order. They obeyed the order quickly and completely.

MOV : യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ പണിതു; ഹഗ്ഗായിപ്രവാചകനും ഇദ്ദോവിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖർയ്യാവും പ്രവചിച്ചതിനാൽ അവർക്കു സാധിച്ചും വന്നു. അവർ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രകാരവും കോരെശിന്റെയും ദാർയ്യാവേശിന്റെയും പാർസിരാജാവായ അർത്ഥഹ് ശഷ്ടാവിന്റെയും കല്പനപ്രകാരവും അതു പണിതു തീർത്തു.
KJV : And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished [it,] according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
YLT : and the elders of the Jews are building and prospering through the prophecy of Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah son of Iddo, and they have built and finished by the decree of the God of Israel, and by the decree of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

ERVEN : So the Jewish leaders continued to build. They were successful as Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of Iddo encouraged them. They finished building the Temple. This was done to obey the command of the God of Israel. It was also done to obey the orders of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes, the kings of Persia.

MOV : ദാർയ്യാവേശ്‌രാജാവിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ആറാം ആണ്ടിൽ ആദാർമാസം മൂന്നാം തിയ്യതി ഈ ആലയം പണിതു തീർന്നു.
KJV : And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

ERVEN : So all the Israelites who came back from captivity ate the Passover meal. Other people washed themselves and made themselves pure from the unclean things of the people living in that country. These pure people also shared in the Passover meal. They did this so that they could go to the Lord, the God of Israel, for help.
