MOV : അന്നു ജനം കേൾക്കെ മോശെയുടെ പുസ്തകം വായിച്ചതിൽ അമ്മോന്യരും മോവാബ്യരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഭയിൽ ഒരു നാളും പ്രവേശിക്കരുതു;
KJV : On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;
YLT : On that day there was read in the book of Moses, in the ears of the people, and it hath been found written in it that an Ammonite and Moabite doth not come into the assembly of God -- unto the age,

KJV : Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.

KJV : Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

MOV : അതിന്നു മുമ്പെ തന്നേ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിലെ അറകൾക്കു മേൽവിചാരകനായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന എല്യാശീബ് പുരോഹിതൻ തോബീയാവിന്റെ ബന്ധുവായിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവന്നു ഒരു വലിയ അറ ഒരുക്കിക്കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
KJV : And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, [was] allied unto Tobiah:

ERVEN : But, before that happened, Eliashib had given a room in the Temple to Tobiah. Eliashib was the priest in charge of the storerooms in God's Temple. And he was a close friend of Tobiah. That room had been used for storing the grain offerings, incense, and the Temple dishes and things. They also kept the tenth of grain, new wine, and oil for the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers in that room. And they also kept the gifts for the priests in that room. But Eliashib gave that room to Tobiah.

MOV : മുമ്പെ അവിടെ ഭോജനയാഗം, കുന്തുരുക്കം, ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയും ലേവ്യർക്കും സംഗീതക്കാർക്കും വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാർക്കും വേണ്ടി നിയമിച്ച ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞു, എണ്ണ, എന്നിവയുടെ ദശാംശവും പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കുള്ള ഉദർച്ചാർപ്പണങ്ങളും വെച്ചിരുന്നു.
KJV : And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded [to be given] to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.
YLT : and he maketh for him a great chamber, and there they were formerly putting the present, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithe of the corn, the new wine, and the oil -- the commanded thing of the Levites, and the singers, and the gatekeepers -- and the heave-offering of the priests.

ERVEN : I was not in Jerusalem while all of this was happening. I had gone back to the king of Babylon. I went back to Babylon in the 32 year that Artaxerxes was king of Babylon. Later, I asked the king for permission to go back to Jerusalem.

ERVEN : So I came back to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, I heard about the sad thing that Eliashib had done. Eliashib had given Tobiah a room in the Temple of our God!

MOV : പിന്നെ ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടു അവർ ആ അറകളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു; ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളും ഭോജനയാഗവും കുന്തുരുക്കവും ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും അവിടെ വരുത്തി.

KJV : And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them [was] Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office [was] to distribute unto their brethren.

ERVEN : I put these men in charge of the storerooms: Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the teacher, and a Levite named Pedaiah. And I made Hanan son of Zaccur, son of Mattaniah, their helper. I knew I could trust these men. They were responsible for giving the supplies to their relatives.

MOV : എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, ഇതു എനിക്കായി ഓർക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്നും അതിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കും വേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത എന്റെ സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളെ മായിച്ചുകളയരുതേ.
KJV : Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.
YLT : Be mindful of me, O my God, for this, and do not blot out my kind acts that I have done, for the house of my God, and for its charges.

MOV : ആ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദയിൽ ചിലർ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ മുന്തിരിച്ചകൂ ചവിട്ടുന്നതും കറ്റ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതും കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു ചുമടുകയറ്റുന്നതും ശബ്ബത്തിൽ വീഞ്ഞു, മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം, അത്തിപ്പഴം മുതലായ ചുമടെല്ലാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നതും കണ്ടു; അവർ ഭക്ഷണസാധനം വില്ക്കുന്ന ദിവസത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.
KJV : In those days saw I in Judah [some] treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all [manner of] burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified [against them] in the day wherein they sold victuals.

ERVEN : In those days in Judah, I saw people working on the Sabbath day. I saw people pressing grapes to make wine. I saw people bringing in grain and loading it on donkeys. I saw people carrying grapes, figs, and all kinds of things in the city. They were bringing all these things into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, so I warned them about this. I told them they must not sell food on the Sabbath day.

MOV : സോർയ്യരും അവിടെ പാർത്തു മത്സ്യവും പല ചരക്കും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ശബ്ബത്തിൽ യെഹൂദ്യർക്കും യെരൂശലേമിലും വിറ്റുപോന്നു.
KJV : There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
YLT : And the Tyrians have dwelt in it, bringing in fish, and every ware, and selling on sabbath to the sons of Judah and in Jerusalem.

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ യെഹൂദാശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരെ ശാസിച്ചു; നിങ്ങൾ ശബ്ബത്തുനാൾ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി ഇങ്ങനെ ദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തു?
KJV : Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing [is] this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

I put some of my own men at the gates. They were commanded to make sure that no load was brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day.
