ERVEN : These are the words of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah: I, Nehemiah, was in the capital city of Susa in the month of Kislev. This was in the 20 year that Artaxerxes was king.

MOV : എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ, ഹനാനിയും യെഹൂദയിൽനിന്നു ചില പുരുഷന്മാരും വന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരോടു പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ യെഹൂദന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും യെരൂശലേമിനെക്കുറിച്ചും ചോദിച്ചു.
KJV : That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and [certain] men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
YLT : and come in doth Hanani, one of my brethren, he and men of Judah, and I ask them concerning the Jews, the escaped part that have been left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem;
RV : that Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men out of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
RSV : that Hanani, one of my brethren, came with certain men out of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that survived, who had escaped exile, and concerning Jerusalem.
ASV : that Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men out of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, that were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
ESV : that Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews who escaped, who had survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem.
ERVEN : While I was in Susa, one of my brothers named Hanani and some other men came from Judah. I asked them about the Jews who had escaped captivity and still lived in Judah. I also asked them about the city of Jerusalem.

MOV : അതിന്നു അവർ എന്നോടു: പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി ശേഷിപ്പു അവിടെ ആ സംസ്ഥാനത്തു മഹാകഷ്ടത്തിലും അപമാനത്തിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ മതിൽ ഇടിഞ്ഞും അതിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾ തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടും കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province [are] in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also [is] broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
YLT : and they say to me, `Those left, who have been left of the captivity there in the province, [are] in great evil, and in reproach, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burnt with fire.`
RV : And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
RSV : And they said to me, "The survivors there in the province who escaped exile are in great trouble and shame; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire."
ASV : And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
ESV : And they said to me, "The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire."
ERVEN : They answered, "Nehemiah, the Jews who escaped captivity and are in the land of Judah are in much trouble. They are having many problems and are full of shame because the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire."

MOV : ഈ വർത്തമാനം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഇരുന്നു കരഞ്ഞു; കുറെനാൾ ദുഃഖിച്ചും ഉപവസിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൈവത്തോടു ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
KJV : And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned [certain] days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
YLT : And it cometh to pass, at my hearing these words, I have sat down, and I weep and mourn [for] days, and I am fasting and praying before the God of the heavens.
RV : And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,
RSV : When I heard these words I sat down and wept, and mourned for days; and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
ASV : And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven,
ESV : As soon as I heard these words I sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
ERVEN : When I heard this about the people of Jerusalem and about the wall, I sat down and cried. I was very sad. I fasted and prayed to the God of Heaven for several days.

MOV : സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു നിന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവർക്കു നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്ന മഹാനും ഭയങ്കരനുമായ ദൈവമേ,
KJV : And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
YLT : And I say, `I beseech thee, O Jehovah, God of the heavens, God, the great and the fearful, keeping the covenant and kindness for those loving Him, and for those keeping His commands,
RV : and said, I beseech thee, O LORD, the God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments:
RSV : And I said, "O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments;
ASV : and said, I beseech thee, O Jehovah, the God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and lovingkindness with them that love him and keep his commandments:
ESV : And I said, "O LORD God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments,
ERVEN : Then I prayed this prayer: "Lord, God of Heaven, you are the great and powerful God. You are the God who keeps his agreement of love with people who love you and obey your commands.

MOV : നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു വേണ്ടി രാവും പകലും നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളായ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന പാപങ്ങളെ ഏറ്റുപറകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചും നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നും ഇരിക്കേണമേ; ഞാനും എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവും പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.
YLT : let Thine ear be, I pray Thee, attentive, and Thine eyes open, to hearken unto the prayer of Thy servant, that I am praying before Thee to-day, by day and by night, concerning the sons of Israel Thy servants, and confessing concerning the sins of the sons of Israel, that we have sinned against Thee; yea, I and the house of my father have sinned;

ESV : let your ear be attentive and your eyes open, to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night for the people of Israel your servants, confessing the sins of the people of Israel, which we have sinned against you. Even I and my father's house have sinned.
ERVEN : "Please open your eyes and ears and listen to the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night. I am praying for your servants, the Israelites. I confess the sins we Israelites have done against you. I am confessing that I have sinned against you and that the other people in my father's family have sinned against you.

MOV : ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു ഏറ്റവും വഷളത്വമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെയോടു നീ കല്പിച്ച കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.
KJV : We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.
YLT : we have acted very corruptly against Thee, and have not kept the commands, and the statutes, and the judgments, that Thou didst command Moses Thy servant.

MOV : നിങ്ങൾ ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചിന്നിച്ചുകളയും;
KJV : Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, [If] ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:
YLT : `Remember, I pray Thee, the word that Thou didst command Moses Thy servant, saying, Ye -- ye trespass -- I scatter you among peoples;

ERVEN : "Please remember the teaching you gave your servant Moses. You said to him, 'If you Israelites are not faithful, I will force you to be scattered among the other nations.

MOV : എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവയെ അനുസരിച്ചുനടന്നാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാർ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അറുതിവരെയും എത്തിയിരുന്നാലും ഞാൻ അവിടെനിന്നു അവരെ ശേഖരിച്ചു, എന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത സ്ഥലത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരും എന്നു നിന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെയോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഓർക്കേണമേ.
KJV : But [if] ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, [yet] will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
YLT : and ye have turned back unto Me, and kept My commands, and done them -- if your outcast is in the end of the heavens, thence I gather them, and have brought them in unto the place that I have chosen to cause My name to tabernacle there.
RV : but if ye return unto me, and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts were in the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to cause my name to dwell there.
RSV : but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your dispersed be under the farthest skies, I will gather them thence and bring them to the place which I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.'

ERVEN : But if you Israelites come back to me and obey my commands, this is what I will do: Even if your people have been forced to leave their homes and go to the ends of the earth, I will gather them from there. And I will bring them back to the place I have chosen to put my name.'

MOV : അവർ നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തികൊണ്ടും ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടും നീ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരും നിന്റെ ജനവുമല്ലോ.
KJV : Now these [are] thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

MOV : കർത്താവേ, നിന്റെ ചെവി അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ താല്പര്യപ്പെടുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കും ശ്രദ്ധയുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണമേ. ഇന്നു അടിയന്നു കാര്യം സാധിപ്പിച്ചു ഈ മനുഷ്യന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എനിക്കു ദയ ലഭിക്കുമാറാക്കേണമേ. ഞാൻ രാജാവിന്നു പാനപാത്രവാഹകനായിരുന്നു.
KJV : O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

ERVEN : So, Lord, please listen to my prayer. I am your servant. Please listen to the prayers of your servants who want to show respect for your name. You know I am the king's wine servant, so please help me today. Help me as I ask the king for help. Give me success and help me to be pleasing to the king."
