MOV : അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാരും സദൂക്യരും അടുക്കെ വന്നു: ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു അടയാളം കാണിച്ചുതരേണമെന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.
KJV : The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
YLT : And the Pharisees and Sadducees having come, tempting, did question him, to shew to them a sign from the heaven,
RV : And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and tempting him asked him to shew them a sign from heaven.

ERVEN : The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus. They wanted to test him. So they asked him to show them a miracle as a sign from God.

YLT : and he answering said to them, `Evening having come, ye say, Fair weather, for the heaven is red,

ERVEN : Jesus answered, "When you people see the sunset, you know what the weather will be. If the sky is red, you say we will have good weather.

MOV : രാവിലെ ആകാശം മൂടി ചുവന്നുകണ്ടാൽ ഇന്നു മഴക്കോൾ ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു. ആകാശത്തിന്റെ ഭാവം വിവേചിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു; എന്നാൽ കാല ലക്ഷണങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ലയോ?
KJV : {SCJ}And in the morning, [It will be] foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O [ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not [discern] the signs of the times? {SCJ.}
YLT : and at morning, Foul weather to-day, for the heaven is red -- gloomy; hypocrites, the face of the heavens indeed ye do know to discern, but the signs of the times ye are not able!

ESV : And in the morning, 'It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
ERVEN : And in the morning, if the sky is dark and red, you say that it will be a rainy day. These are signs of the weather. You see these signs in the sky and know what they mean. In the same way, you see the things that are happening now. These are also signs, but you don't know their meaning.

MOV : ദോഷവും വ്യഭിചാരവുമുള്ള തലമുറ അടയാളം തിരയുന്നു; യോനയുടെ അടയാള മല്ലാതെ അതിന്നു അടയാളം ലഭിക്കയില്ല;” പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പോയി.
KJV : {SCJ}A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas.{SCJ.} And he left them, and departed.
YLT : `A generation evil and adulterous doth seek a sign, and a sign shall not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet;` and having left them he went away.

ERVEN : It is the evil and sinful people who want to see a miracle as a sign from God. But no miracle will be done to prove anything to them. The only sign will be the miracle that happened to Jonah. " Then Jesus went away from there.

MOV : എന്നാൽ യേശു അവരോടു: “നോക്കുവിൻ പരീശന്മാരുടെയും സദൂക്യരുടെയും പുളിച്ച മാവു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”
KJV : Then Jesus said unto them, {SCJ}Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. {SCJ.}

MOV : അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുപോരായ്കയാൽ ആയിരിക്കും എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

ERVEN : The followers discussed the meaning of this. They said, "Did Jesus say this because we forgot to bring bread?"

MOV : അതു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതു: അല്പവിശ്വാസികളേ, അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുവരായ്കയാൽ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു?
KJV : [Which] when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, {SCJ}O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus having known, said to them, `Why reason ye in yourselves, ye of little faith, because ye took no loaves?

ERVEN : Jesus knew that they were talking about this. So he asked them, "Why are you talking about not having bread? Your faith is small.

MOV : ഇപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? അയ്യായിരം പേർക്കു അഞ്ചു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തിട്ടു എത്ര കൊട്ട എടുത്തു എന്നും
KJV : {SCJ}Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? {SCJ.}

MOV : പരീശന്മാരുടെയും സദൂക്യരുടെയും പുളിച്ച മാവു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു അപ്പത്തെക്കുറിച്ചല്ല എന്നു തിരിച്ചറിയാത്തതു എന്തു?
KJV : {SCJ}How is it that ye do not understand that I spake [it] not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? {SCJ.}
YLT : how do ye not understand that I did not speak to you of bread -- to take heed of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?`

KJV : Then understood they how that he bade [them] not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

ERVEN : Then the followers understood what Jesus meant. He was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread. He was telling them to guard against the teaching of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.

MOV : ചിലർ യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകൻ എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലർ ഏലീയാവെന്നും വേറെ ചിലർ യിരെമ്യാവോ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനോ എന്നും പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

KJV : And Jesus answered and said unto him, {SCJ}Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus answering said to him, `Happy art thou, Simon Bar-Jona, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.

ERVEN : Jesus answered, "You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah. No one taught you that. My Father in heaven showed you who I am.

MOV : നീ പത്രൊസ് ആകുന്നു; ഈ പാറമേൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സഭയെ പണിയും; പാതാളഗോപുരങ്ങൾ അതിനെ ജയിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു.
KJV : {SCJ}And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. {SCJ.}
YLT : `And I also say to thee, that thou art a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it;
RV : And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
RSV : And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it.

ERVEN : So I tell you, you are Peter. And I will build my church on this rock. The power of death will not be able to defeat my church.

MOV : സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ താക്കോൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരുന്നു; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ കെട്ടുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ അഴിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : {SCJ}And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. {SCJ.}
YLT : and I will give to thee the keys of the reign of the heavens, and whatever thou mayest bind upon the earth shall be having been bound in the heavens, and whatever thou mayest loose upon the earth shall be having been loosed in the heavens.`
RV : I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

ERVEN : I will give you the keys to God's kingdom. When you speak judgment here on earth, that judgment will be God's judgment. When you promise forgiveness here on earth, that forgiveness will be God's forgiveness."

MOV : അന്നു മുതൽ യേശു താൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു, മൂപ്പന്മാർ, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ, ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ എന്നിവരാൽ പലതും സഹിച്ചു കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.
KJV : From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
YLT : From that time began Jesus to shew to his disciples that it is necessary for him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scribes, and to be put to death, and the third day to rise.

ERVEN : From that time Jesus began telling his followers that he must go to Jerusalem. He explained that the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law would make him suffer many things. And he told his followers that he must be killed. Then, on the third day, he would be raised from death.

ESV : And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, "Far be it from you, Lord! This shall never happen to you."
ERVEN : Peter took Jesus away from the other followers to talk to him alone. He began to criticize him. He said, "God save you from those sufferings, Lord! That will never happen to you!"
