MOV : അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഒക്കെയും പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദാൻ മുതൽ ബേർ--ശേബവരെയും ഗിലെയാദ്‌ദേശത്തും ഉള്ള സഭയൊക്കെയും ഏകമനസ്സോടെ മിസ്പയിൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വന്നുകൂടി.
KJV : Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh.
YLT : And all the sons of Israel go out, and the company is assembled as one man, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, and the land of Gilead, unto Jehovah, at Mizpeh.
RV : Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD at Mizpah.
RSV : Then all the people of Israel came out, from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, and the congregation assembled as one man to the LORD at Mizpah.

ESV : Then all the people of Israel came out, from Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, and the congregation assembled as one man to the LORD at Mizpah.
ERVEN : So all the Israelites joined together. They all came together to stand before the Lord in the city of Mizpah. People came from everywhere in Israel. Even the Israelites from Gilead were there.

MOV : യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളുമായ സർവ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും പ്രധാനികളും ആയുധപാണികളായ നാലുലക്ഷം കാലാളും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജനസംഘത്തിൽ വന്നുനിന്നു--
KJV : And the chief of all the people, [even] of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.
YLT : And the chiefs of all the people, of all the tribes of Israel, station themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen drawing sword.
RV : And the chiefs of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.

ESV : And the chiefs of all the people, of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, 400,000 men on foot that drew the sword.
ERVEN : The leaders of all the tribes of Israel were there. They took their places in the public meeting of God's people. There were 400,000 soldiers with swords in that place.

MOV : യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ മിസ്പയിലേക്കു പോയി എന്നു ബെന്യാമീന്യർ കേട്ടു--അപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ: ഈ ദോഷം എങ്ങിനെ സംഭവിച്ചു എന്നു പറവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു
KJV : (Now the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Mizpeh.) Then said the children of Israel, Tell [us,] how was this wickedness?
YLT : And the sons of Benjamin hear that the sons of Israel have gone up to Mizpeh. And the sons of Israel say, `Speak ye, how hath this evil been?`
RV : (Now the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Mizpah.) And the children of Israel said, Tell us, how was this wickedness brought to pass?
RSV : (Now the Benjaminites heard that the people of Israel had gone up to Mizpah.) And the people of Israel said, "Tell us, how was this wickedness brought to pass?"
ASV : (Now the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Mizpah.) And the children of Israel said, Tell us, how was this wickedness brought to pass?
ESV : (Now the people of Benjamin heard that the people of Israel had gone up to Mizpah.) And the people of Israel said, "Tell us, how did this evil happen?"
ERVEN : The people from the tribe of Benjamin heard that the Israelites were meeting together in Mizpah. The Israelites said, "Tell us how this terrible thing happened."

MOV : കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട സ്ത്രീയുടെ ഭർത്താവായ ലേവ്യൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാനും എന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയും ബെന്യാമീൻ ദേശത്തു ഗിബെയയിൽ രാപാർപ്പാൻ ചെന്നു.
KJV : And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that [belongeth] to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.
YLT : And the man, the Levite, husband of the woman who hath been murdered, answereth and saith, `Into Gibeah (which [is] to Benjamin) I have come, I and my concubine, to lodge;
RV : And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was murdered, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongeth to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.

ERVEN : So the Levite, the husband of the woman who had been murdered, told them the story. He said, "My slave woman and I came to the city of Gibeah in the area of Benjamin. We spent the night there.

ERVEN : But during the night the men of the city of Gibeah came to the house where I was staying. They surrounded the house, and they wanted to kill me. They raped my slave woman, and she died.

MOV : അവർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ദുഷ്കർമ്മവും വഷളത്വവും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ എന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയെ ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമാക്കി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അവകാശദേശത്തൊക്കെയും കൊടുത്തയച്ചു.
KJV : And I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel.
YLT : and I lay hold on my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and send her into all the country of the inheritance of Israel; for they have done wickedness and folly in Israel;

ERVEN : So I took her and cut her into pieces. Then I sent one piece to each of the tribes of Israel. I sent the 12 pieces to the lands we have received. I did that because the people of Benjamin have done this terrible thing in Israel.

MOV : നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും യിസ്രായേല്യരല്ലോ; ഇതിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ അഭിപ്രായവും ആലോചനയും പറവിൻ.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ സർവ്വജനവും ഒന്നായിട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു പറഞ്ഞതു: നമ്മിൽ ആരും തന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു പോകരുതു; ആരും വീട്ടിലേക്കു തിരികയുമരുതു.
KJV : And all the people arose as one man, saying, We will not any [of us] go to his tent, neither will we any [of us] turn into his house.
YLT : And all the people rise as one man, saying, `None of us doth go to his tent, and none of us doth turn aside to his house;

ERVEN : Then all the people stood up at the same time. They said together, "None of us will go home. No, not one of us will go back to his house.

MOV : നാം ഇപ്പോൾ ഗിബെയയോടു ചെയ്യേണ്ടുന്ന കാര്യമാവിതു: നാം അതു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ചീട്ടിടേണം;
KJV : But now this [shall be] the thing which we will do to Gibeah; [we will go up] by lot against it;
YLT : and now, this [is] the thing which we do to Gibeah -- against it by lot!

MOV : അവർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച സകലവഷളത്വത്തിന്നും പകരം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ജനം ഗിബെയയിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങൾ പോയി കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ യിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളിൽ നൂറ്റിൽ പത്തുപേരെയും ആയിരത്തിൽ നൂറുപേരെയും പതിനായിരത്തിൽ ആയിരംപേരെയും എടുക്കേണം.
KJV : And we will take ten men of an hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and an hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victual for the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel.
YLT : and we have taken ten men of a hundred, of all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred of a thousand, and a thousand of a myriad, to receive provision for the people, to do, at their coming to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly which it hath done in Israel.`

ASV : and we will take ten men of a hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victuals for the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel.
ESV : and we will take ten men of a hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred of a thousand, and a thousand of ten thousand, to bring provisions for the people, that when they come they may repay Gibeah of Benjamin, for all the outrage that they have committed in Israel."
ERVEN : We will choose ten men from every 100 from all the tribes of Israel. And we will choose 100 men from every 1000. We will choose 1000 men from every 10,000. These men we have chosen will get supplies for the army. Then the army will go to the city of Gibeah in the area of Benjamin. The army will punish those people for the terrible thing they did among the Israelites."

MOV : അങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്യർ ഒക്കെയും ആ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി ഏകമനസ്സോടെ യോജിച്ചു.

MOV : ഗിബെയയിലെ ആ നീചന്മാരെ ഞങ്ങൾ കൊന്നു യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ ഏല്പിച്ചു തരുവിൻ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. ബെന്യാമീന്യരോ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളായ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിപ്പാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു
KJV : Now therefore deliver [us] the men, the children of Belial, which [are] in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel:
YLT : And now, give up the men -- sons of worthlessness -- which [are] in Gibeah, and we put them to death, and we put away evil from Israel.` And [the sons of] Benjamin have not been willing to hearken to the voice of their brethren, the sons of Israel;
RV : Now therefore deliver up the men, the sons of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.
RSV : Now therefore give up the men, the base fellows in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel." But the Benjaminites would not listen to the voice of their brethren, the people of Israel.
ASV : Now therefore deliver up the men, the base fellows, that are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.
ESV : Now therefore give up the men, the worthless fellows in Gibeah, that we may put them to death and purge evil from Israel." But the Benjaminites would not listen to the voice of their brothers, the people of Israel.
ERVEN : Send the bad men from the city of Gibeah to us so that we can put them to death. We must remove the evil from among the Israelites." But the people from the tribe of Benjamin would not listen to the messengers from their relatives, the other Israelites.

MOV : യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പുറപ്പെടത്തക്കവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു ഗിബെയയിൽ വന്നുകൂടി.
KJV : But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel.
YLT : and the sons of Benjamin are gathered out of the cities to Gibeah, to go out to battle with the sons of Israel.

ERVEN : The people from the tribe of Benjamin left their cities and went to the city of Gibeah. They went to Gibeah to fight against the other tribes of Israel.

MOV : അന്നു ഗിബെയാനിവാസികളിൽ എണ്ണിത്തിരിച്ച എഴുനൂറു വിരുതന്മാരെ കൂടാതെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വന്ന ബെന്യാമീന്യർ ഇരുപത്താറയിരം ആയുധപാണികൾ ഉണ്ടെന്നു എണ്ണം കണ്ടു.
KJV : And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men.
YLT : And the sons of Benjamin number themselves on that day; out of the cities [are] twenty and six thousand men drawing sword, apart from the inhabitants of Gibeah, [who] numbered themselves, seven hundred chosen men;
RV : And the children of Benjamin were numbered on that day out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, besides the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men.
RSV : And the Benjaminites mustered out of their cities on that day twenty-six thousand men that drew the sword, besides the inhabitants of Gibeah, who mustered seven hundred picked men.
ASV : And the children of Benjamin were numbered on that day out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, besides the inhabitants of Gibeah, who were numbered seven hundred chosen men.
ESV : And the people of Benjamin mustered out of their cities on that day 26,000 men who drew the sword, besides the inhabitants of Gibeah, who mustered 700 chosen men.
ERVEN : The people from the tribe of Benjamin got 26,000 soldiers together who were trained for war. They also had 700 trained soldiers from the city of Gibeah.

MOV : ഈ ജനത്തിലെല്ലാം ഇടത്തു കയ്യന്മാരായ എഴുനൂറു വിരുതന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരു രോമത്തിന്നു പോലും ഏറുപിഴെക്കാത്ത കവിണക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു.
KJV : Among all this people [there were] seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair [breadth,] and not miss.
YLT : among all this people [are] seven hundred chosen men, bound of their right hand, each of these slinging with a stone at the hair, and he doth not err.
RV : Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair-breadth, and not miss.

ERVEN : There were also 700 trained soldiers who were trained to fight with their left hand. Each one of them could use a sling with great skill. They all could use a sling to throw a stone at a hair and not miss!

MOV : ബെന്യാമീൻ ഒഴികെയുള്ള യിസ്രായേല്യരോ നാലുലക്ഷം ആയുധപാണികൾ ആയിരുന്നു; അവർ എല്ലാവരും യോദ്ധാക്കൾ തന്നേ.
KJV : And the men of Israel, beside Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword: all these [were] men of war.
YLT : And the men of Israel numbered themselves, apart from Benjamin, four hundred thousand men, drawing sword, each of these a man of war.
RV : And the men of Israel, beside Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword: all these were men of war.

MOV : അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ബേഥേലിലേക്കു ചെന്നു: ബെന്യാമീന്യരോടു പടവെട്ടുവാൻ ഞങ്ങളിൽ ആർ മുമ്പനായി ചെല്ലേണ്ടു എന്നു ദൈവത്തോടു അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിച്ചു. യെഹൂദാ മുമ്പനായി ചെല്ലട്ടെ എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
KJV : And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah [shall go up] first.
YLT : And they rise and go up to Beth-El, and ask of God, and the sons of Israel say, `Who doth go up for us at the commencement to battle with the sons of Benjamin?` and Jehovah saith, `Judah -- at the commencement.`
RV : And the children of Israel arose, and went up to Beth-el, and asked counsel of God; and they said, Who shall go up for us first to battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah {cf15i shall go up} first.
RSV : The people of Israel arose and went up to Bethel, and inquired of God, "Which of us shall go up first to battle against the Benjaminites?" And the LORD said, "Judah shall go up first."
ASV : And the children of Israel arose, and went up to Beth-el, and asked counsel of God; and they said, Who shall go up for us first to battle against the children of Benjamin? And Jehovah said, Judah shall go up first.
ESV : The people of Israel arose and went up to Bethel and inquired of God, "Who shall go up first for us to fight against the people of Benjamin?" And the LORD said, "Judah shall go up first."
ERVEN : The Israelites went up to the city of Bethel. At Bethel they asked God, "Which tribe will be first to attack the tribe of Benjamin?" The Lord answered, "The tribe of Judah will go first."

ERVEN : The army of Benjamin came out of the city of Gibeah to fight the army of Israel. The army of Israel backed up and let the army of Benjamin chase them. In this way the army of Benjamin was tricked into leaving the city far behind them. The army of Benjamin began to kill some of the men in the army of Israel, as they had done before. They killed about 30 men from Israel. They killed some of them in the fields, and they killed some of them on the roads. One road led to the city of Bethel. The other road led to the city of Gibeah.
