KJV : Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.

KJV : [And it was told] the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed [him] in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.
YLT : [it is told] to the Gazathites, saying, `Samson hath come in hither;` and they go round and lay wait for him all the night at the gate of the city, and keep themselves silent all the night, saying, `Till the light of the morning -- then we have slain him.`
RV : {cf15i And it was told} the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, {cf15i Let be} till morning light, then we will kill him.
RSV : The Gazites were told, "Samson has come here," and they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. They kept quiet all night, saying, "Let us wait till the light of the morning; then we will kill him."
ASV : And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, Let be till morning light, then we will kill him.
ESV : The Gazites were told, "Samson has come here." And they surrounded the place and set an ambush for him all night at the gate of the city. They kept quiet all night, saying, "Let us wait till the light of the morning; then we will kill him."
ERVEN : Someone told the people of Gaza, "Samson has come here." They wanted to kill him, so they surrounded the city. They hid near the city gate and waited all night for him. They were very quiet all night long. They had said to each other, "When morning comes, we will kill Samson."

ERVEN : But Samson only stayed with the prostitute until midnight. Then he got up and grabbed the doors of the city gate and pulled them loose from the wall. He pulled down the doors, the two posts, and the bars that lock the doors shut. He put them on his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill near the city of Hebron.

RSV : And the lords of the Philistines came to her and said to her, "Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to subdue him; and we will each give you eleven hundred pieces of silver."
ASV : And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.
ESV : And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, "Seduce him, and see where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to humble him. And we will each give you 1,100 pieces of silver."
ERVEN : The rulers of the Philistines went to Delilah and said, "We want to know what makes Samson so strong. Try to trick him into telling you his secret. Then we will know how to capture him and tie him up. Then we will be able to control him. If you do this, each one of us will give you 28 pounds of silver."

MOV : അങ്ങനെ ദെലീലാ ശിംശോനോടു: നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തി ഏതിൽ ആകുന്നു? ഏതിനാൽ നിന്നെ ബന്ധിച്ചു ഒതുക്കാം? എനിക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength [lieth,] and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.
YLT : And Delilah saith unto Samson, `Declare, I pray thee, to me, wherein thy great power [is], and wherewith thou art bound, to afflict thee.`
RV : And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.
RSV : And Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me wherein your great strength lies, and how you might be bound, that one could subdue you."
ASV : And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.
ESV : So Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me where your great strength lies, and how you might be bound, that one could subdue you."
ERVEN : So Delilah said to Samson, "Tell me why you are so strong. How could someone tie you up and make you helpless?"

KJV : Now [there were] men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
YLT : And the ambush is abiding with her in an inner chamber, and she saith unto him, `Philistines [are] upon thee, Samson;` and he breaketh the withs as a thread of tow is broken in its smelling fire, and his power hath not been known.
RV : Now she had liers in wait abiding in the inner chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withes, as a string of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
RSV : Now she had men lying in wait in an inner chamber. And she said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he snapped the bowstrings, as a string of tow snaps when it touches the fire. So the secret of his strength was not known.
ASV : Now she had liers-in-wait abiding in the inner chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withes, as a string of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
ESV : Now she had men lying in ambush in an inner chamber. And she said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he snapped the bowstrings, as a thread of flax snaps when it touches the fire. So the secret of his strength was not known.
ERVEN : Some men were hiding in the next room. Delilah said to Samson, "Samson, the Philistine men are going to capture you!" But Samson easily broke the bowstrings. They snapped like a string when it comes too close to a flame. So the Philistines did not find out the secret of Samson's strength.

MOV : പിന്നെ ദെലീലാ ശിംശോനോടു: നീ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു എന്നോടു ഭോഷ്കു പറഞ്ഞു; നിന്നെ ഏതിനാൽ ബന്ധിക്കാം എന്നു ഇപ്പോൾ എനിക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.
YLT : And Delilah saith unto Samson, `Lo, thou hast played upon me, and speakest unto me lies; now, declare, I pray thee, to me, wherewith thou art bound.`
RV : And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.
RSV : And Delilah said to Samson, "Behold, you have mocked me, and told me lies; please tell me how you might be bound."

ERVEN : Then Delilah said to Samson, "You lied to me. You made me look foolish. Please tell me the truth. How could someone tie you up?"

YLT : And he saith unto her, `If they certainly bind me with thick bands, new ones, by which work hath not been done, then I have been weak, and have been as one of the human race.`
RV : And he said unto her, If they only bind me with new ropes wherewith no work hath been done, then shall I become weak, and be as another man.
RSV : And he said to her, "If they bind me with new ropes that have not been used, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man."
ASV : And he said unto her, If they only bind me with new ropes wherewith no work hath been done, then shall I become weak, and be as another man.
ESV : And he said to her, "If they bind me with new ropes that have not been used, then I shall become weak and be like any other man."
ERVEN : Samson said, "Someone would have to tie me up with new ropes. They would have to tie me with ropes that have not been used before. If someone did that, I would become as weak as any other man."

ESV : So Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And the men lying in ambush were in an inner chamber. But he snapped the ropes off his arms like a thread.
ERVEN : So Delilah took some new ropes and tied up Samson. Some men were hiding in the next room. Then Delilah called out to him, "Samson, the Philistine men are going to capture you!" But he broke the ropes easily as if they were threads.

MOV : ദെലീലാ ശിംശോനോടു: ഇതുവരെ നീ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു എന്നോടു ഭോഷ്കു പറഞ്ഞു; നിന്നെ ഏതിനാൽ ബന്ധിക്കാമെന്നു എനിക്കു പറഞ്ഞു തരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അവളോടു: എന്റെ തലയിലെ ഏഴു ജട നൂല്പാവിൽ ചേർത്തു നെയ്താൽ സാധിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.
YLT : And Delilah saith unto Samson, `Hitherto thou hast played upon me, and dost speak unto me lies; declare to me wherewith thou art bound.` And he saith unto her, `If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.`
RV : And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.
RSV : And Delilah said to Samson, "Until now you have mocked me, and told me lies; tell me how you might be bound." And he said to her, "If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web and make it tight with the pin, then I shall become weak, and be like any other man."
ASV : And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.
ESV : Then Delilah said to Samson, "Until now you have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me how you might be bound." And he said to her, "If you weave the seven locks of my head with the web and fasten it tight with the pin, then I shall become weak and be like any other man."
ERVEN : Then Delilah said to Samson, "You lied to me again. You made me look foolish. Now, tell me how someone could tie you up." Samson said, "If you use the loom to weave the seven braids of hair on my head and tighten it with a pin, I will become as weak as any other man."

KJV : And she fastened [it] with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.
YLT : And she fixeth [it] with the pin, and saith unto him, `Philistines [are] upon thee, Samson;` and he awaketh out of his sleep, and journeyeth with the pin of the weaving machine, and with the web.
RV : And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and plucked away the pin of the beam, and the web.
RSV : So while he slept, Delilah took the seven locks of his head and wove them into the web. And she made them tight with the pin, and said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he awoke from his sleep, and pulled away the pin, the loom, and the web.

ERVEN : Later, Samson went to sleep, so Delilah used the loom to weave the seven braids of hair on his head. Then Delilah fastened the loom to the ground with a tent peg. Again she called out to him, "Samson, the Philistine men are going to capture you!" Samson pulled up the tent peg, the loom, and the shuttle.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ അവൾ അവനോടു: നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ഈ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം നീ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു; നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തി ഏതിൽ ആകന്നു എന്നു എനിക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart [is] not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength [lieth. ]
YLT : And she saith unto him, `How dost thou say, I have loved thee, and thy heart is not with me? these three times thou hast played upon me, and hast not declared to me wherein thy great power [is].`
RV : And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.
RSV : And she said to him, "How can you say, `I love you,' when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and you have not told me wherein your great strength lies."
ASV : And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thy heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.
ESV : And she said to him, "How can you say, 'I love you,' when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and you have not told me where your great strength lies."
ERVEN : Then Delilah said to Samson, "How can you say, 'I love you,' when you don't even trust me? You refuse to tell me your secret. This is the third time you made me look foolish. You haven't told me the secret of your great strength."

MOV : ഇങ്ങനെ അവൾ അവനെ ദിവസംപ്രതി വാക്കുകളാൽ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിച്ചു അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തി; അവൻ മരിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം വ്യസനപരവശനായി തീർന്നിട്ടു തന്റെ ഉള്ളം മുഴുവനും അവളെ അറിയിച്ചു.
KJV : And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, [so] that his soul was vexed unto death;
YLT : And it cometh to pass, because she distressed him with her words all the days, and doth urge him, and his soul is grieved to death,
