MOV : ഞങ്ങൾ കേൾപ്പിച്ചതു ആർ‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു? യഹോവയുടെ ഭുജം ആർ‍ക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു?
KJV : Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
YLT : Who hath given credence to that which we heard? And the arm of Jehovah, On whom hath it been revealed?

MOV : അവൻ ഇളയ തൈപോലെയും വരണ്ട നിലത്തുനിന്നു വേർ‍ മുളെക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വളരും; അവന്നു രൂപഗുണം ഇല്ല, കോമളത്വം ഇല്ല; കണ്ടാൽ ആഗ്രഹിക്കത്തക്ക സൌന്ദര്യവുമില്ല.
KJV : For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.
YLT : Yea, he cometh up as a tender plant before Him, And as a root out of a dry land, He hath no form, nor honour, when we observe him, Nor appearance, when we desire him.

ERVEN : He was always close to the Lord. He grew up like a young plant, like a root growing in dry ground. There was nothing special or impressive about the way he looked, nothing we could see that would cause us to like him.

MOV : അവൻ മനുഷ്യരാൽ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ത്യജിക്കപ്പെട്ടും വ്യസനപാത്രമായും രോഗം ശീലിച്ചവനായും ഇരുന്നു; അവനെ കാണുന്നവർ‍ മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ നിന്ദിതനായിരുന്നു; നാം അവനെ ആദരിച്ചതുമില്ല.
KJV : He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

ERVEN : People made fun of him, and even his friends left him. He was a man who suffered a lot of pain and sickness. We treated him like someone of no importance, like someone people will not even look at but turn away from in disgust.

MOV : സാക്ഷാൽ നമ്മുടെ രോഗങ്ങളെ അവൻ വഹിച്ചു; നമ്മുടെ വേദനകളെ അവൻ ചുമന്നു; നാമോ, ദൈവം അവനെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചും അടിച്ചും ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു.

MOV : എന്നാൽ അവൻ നമ്മുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം മുറിവേറ്റും നമ്മുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം തകർ‍ന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അവന്റെമേൽ ആയി അവന്റെ അടിപ്പിണരുകളാൽ നമുക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

ERVEN : But he was being punished for what we did. He was crushed because of our guilt. He took the punishment we deserved, and this brought us peace. We were healed because of his pain.

MOV : നാം എല്ലാവരും ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ തെറ്റിപ്പോയിരുന്നു; നാം ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ വഴിക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ എല്ലാവരുടെയും അകൃത്യം അവന്റെമേൽ ചുമത്തി.

MOV : തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തി വായെ തുറക്കാതെയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവൻ പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; കൊല്ലുവാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന കുഞ്ഞാടിനെപ്പോലെയും രോമം കത്രിക്കുന്നവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്കുന്ന ആടിനെപ്പോലെയും അവൻ വായെ തുറക്കാതിരുന്നു.
KJV : He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

ERVEN : He was treated badly, but he never protested. He said nothing, like a lamb being led away to be killed. He was like a sheep that makes no sound as its wool is being cut off. He never opened his mouth to defend himself.

MOV : അവൻ പീഡനത്താലും ശിക്ഷാവിധിയാലും എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവൻ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നും എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം അവന്നു ദണ്ഡനം വന്നു എന്നും അവന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ ആർ‍ വിചാരിച്ചു?
KJV : He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

ERVEN : He was taken away by force and judged unfairly. The people of his time did not even notice that he was killed. But he was put to death for the sins of his people.

MOV : അവൻ സാഹസം ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെയും അവന്റെ വായിൽ വഞ്ചനയൊന്നും ഇല്ലാതെയും ഇരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ‍ അവന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ശവക്കുഴി കൊടുത്തു; അവന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ അവൻ സമ്പന്നന്മാരോടു കൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു.
KJV : And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither [was any] deceit in his mouth.

MOV : എന്നാൽ അവനെ തകർത്തുകളവാൻ യഹോവെക്കു ഇഷ്ടംതോന്നി; അവൻ അവന്നു കഷ്ടം വരുത്തി; അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ഒരു അകൃത്യയാഗമായിത്തീർ‍ന്നിട്ടു അവൻ സന്തതിയെ കാണുകയും ദീർ‍ഘായുസ്സു പ്രാപിക്കയും യഹോവയുടെ ഇഷ്ടം അവന്റെ കയ്യാൽ സാധിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
KJV : Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
YLT : And Jehovah hath delighted to bruise him, He hath made him sick, If his soul doth make an offering for guilt, He seeth seed -- he prolongeth days, And the pleasure of Jehovah in his hand doth prosper.

ERVEN : But the Lord was pleased with this humble servant who suffered such pain. Even after giving himself as an offering for sin, he will see his descendants and enjoy a long life. He will succeed in doing what the Lord wanted.

KJV : He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
YLT : Of the labour of his soul he seeth -- he is satisfied, Through his knowledge give righteousness Doth the righteous one, My servant, to many, And their iniquities he doth bear.
RV : He shall see of the travail of his soul, {cf15i and} shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many: and he shall bear their iniquities.

ERVEN : After his suffering he will see the light, and he will be satisfied with what he experienced. The Lord says, "My servant, who always does what is right, will make his people right with me; he will take away their sins.

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവന്നു മഹാന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഓഹരി കൊടുക്കും; ബലവാന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവൻ കൊള്ള പങ്കിടും; അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തിന്നു ഒഴുക്കിക്കളകയും അനേകരുടെ പാപം വഹിച്ചും അതിക്രമക്കാർ‍ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഇടനിന്നുംകൊണ്ടു അതിക്രമക്കാരോടുകൂടെ എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്കയാൽ തന്നേ.
KJV : Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Now he will stand before me and speak for those who have sinned."
