MOV : യഹോവേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാൻ അയ്യം വിളിക്കയും നീ കേൾക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും? സാഹസംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ എത്രത്തോളം നിന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കയും നീ രക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും?
KJV : O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! [even] cry out unto thee [of] violence, and thou wilt not save!
YLT : Till when, O Jehovah, have I cried, And Thou dost not hear? I cry unto Thee -- `Violence,` and Thou dost not save.
RV : O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? I cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save.

MOV : നീ എന്നെ നീതികേടു കാണുമാറാക്കുന്നതും പീഡനം വെറുതെ നോക്കുന്നതും എന്തിനു? കവർച്ചയും സാഹസവും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടു; കലഹം നടക്കുന്നു; ശണ്ഠ ഉളവായി വരും.
KJV : Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause [me] to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence [are] before me: and there are [that] raise up strife and contention.
YLT : Why dost Thou shew me iniquity, And perversity dost cause to behold? And spoiling and violence [are] before me, And there is strife, and contention doth lift [itself] up,

ERVEN : People are stealing things and hurting others. They are arguing and fighting. Why do you make me look at these terrible things?

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായപ്രമാണം അയഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ന്യായം ഒരുനാളും വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നതുമില്ല; ദുഷ്ടൻ നീതിമാനെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായം വക്രതയായി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.
KJV : Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
YLT : Therefore doth law cease, And judgment doth not go forth for ever, For the wicked is compassing the righteous, Therefore wrong judgment goeth forth.

MOV : ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു നോക്കുവിൻ! ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു വിസ്മയിപ്പിൻ! ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്തു ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യും; അതു വിവരിച്ചുകേട്ടാൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല.
KJV : Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for [I] will work a work in your days, [which] ye will not believe, though it be told [you. ]

KJV : For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, [that] bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces [that are] not theirs.

KJV : Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle [that] hasteth to eat.
YLT : Swifter than leopards have been its horses, And sharper than evening wolves, And increased have its horsemen, Even its horsemen from afar come in, They fly as an eagle, hasting to consume.

MOV : അവർ ഏവരും സംഹാരത്തിന്നായി വരുന്നു; അവരുടെ മുഖം മുമ്പോട്ടു ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു; അവർ മണൽപോലെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുചേർക്കുന്നു.
KJV : They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up [as] the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
YLT : Wholly for violence it doth come in, Their faces swallowing up the east wind, And it doth gather as the sand a captivity.

ERVEN : The one thing they all want to do is fight. Their armies will march fast like the wind in the desert. And the Babylonian soldiers will take many prisoners—as many as the grains of sand.

MOV : അവർ രാജാക്കന്മാരെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ അവർക്കു ഹാസ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഏതു കോട്ടയെയും കുറിച്ചു ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ മണ്ണു കുന്നിച്ചു അതിനെ പിടിക്കും.
KJV : And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
YLT : And at kings it doth scoff, And princes [are] a laughter to it, At every fenced place it doth laugh, And it heapeth up dust, and captureth it.
RV : Yea, he scoffeth at kings, and princes are a derision unto him: he derideth every strong hold; for he heapeth up dust, and taketh it.

ERVEN : "The Babylonian soldiers will laugh at the kings of other nations. Foreign rulers will be like jokes to them. The Babylonian soldiers will laugh at the cities with tall, strong walls. They will simply build dirt roads up to the top of the walls and easily defeat the cities.

MOV : അന്നു അവൻ കാറ്റുപോലെ അടിച്ചുകടന്നു അതിക്രമിച്ചു കുറ്റക്കാരനായ്തീരും; സ്വന്തശക്തിയല്ലോ അവന്നു ദൈവം.
KJV : Then shall [his] mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, [imputing] this his power unto his god.
YLT : Then passed on hath the spirit, Yea, he doth transgress, And doth ascribe this his power to his god.
RV : Then shall he sweep by {cf15i as} a wind, and shall pass over, and be guilty: {cf15i even} he whose might is his god.
RSV : Then they sweep by like the wind and go on, guilty men, whose own might is their god!

ERVEN : Then they will leave like the wind and go on to fight against other places. The only thing the Babylonians worship is their own strength."

MOV : എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ പുരാതനമേ എന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനല്ലയോ? ഞങ്ങൾ മരിക്കയില്ല; യഹോവേ, നീ അവനെ ന്യായവിധിക്കായി നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പാറയായുള്ളോവേ, ശിക്ഷെക്കായി നീ അവനെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : [Art] thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
YLT : Art not Thou of old, O Jehovah, my God, my Holy One? We do not die, O Jehovah, For judgment Thou hast appointed it, And, O Rock, for reproof Thou hast founded it.

ERVEN : Lord, you are the one who lives forever! You are my holy God who never dies! Lord, you created the Babylonians to do what must be done. Our Rock, you created them to punish people.

MOV : ദോഷം കണ്ടുകൂടാതവണ്ണം നിർമ്മലദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനും പീഡനം കാണ്മാൻ കഴിയാത്തവനുമായുള്ളോവേ, ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ നീ വെറുതെ നോക്കുന്നതും ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്നിലും നീതിമാനായവനെ വിഴുങ്ങുമ്പോൾ
KJV : [Thou art] of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, [and] holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth [the man that is] more righteous than he?
YLT : Purer of eyes than to behold evil, To look on perverseness Thou art not able, Why dost Thou behold the treacherous? Thou keepest silent when the wicked Doth swallow the more righteous than he,

ERVEN : Your eyes are too good to look at evil. You cannot stand to see people do wrong. So why do you permit such evil? How can you watch while the wicked destroy people who are so much better?

MOV : നീ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്നതും മനുഷ്യരെ സമുദ്രത്തിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയും അധിപതിയില്ലാത്ത ഇഴജാതികളെപ്പോലെയും ആക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?
KJV : And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, [that have] no ruler over them?
YLT : And Thou makest man as fishes of the sea, As a creeping thing -- none ruling over him.
RV : and makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
RSV : For thou makest men like the fish of the sea, like crawling things that have no ruler.

ERVEN : You made people like fish in the sea. They are like little sea animals without a leader.

MOV : അവൻ അവയെ ഒക്കെയും ചൂണ്ടൽകൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു; അവൻ വലകൊണ്ടു അവയെ വലിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു; കോരുവലയിൽ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ സന്തോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
YLT : Each of them with a hook he hath brought up, He doth catch it in his net, and gathereth it in his drag, Therefore he doth joy and rejoice.

MOV : അതു ഹേതുവായി അവൻ തന്റെ വലെക്കു ബലികഴിക്കുന്നു; കോരുവലെക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നു; അവയാലല്ലോ അവന്റെ ഓഹരി പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതും അവന്റെ ആഹാരം പൂർത്തിയുള്ളതുമായ്തീരുന്നതു.
KJV : Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion [is] fat, and their meat plenteous.
YLT : Therefore he doth sacrifice to his net, And doth make perfume to his drag, For by them [is] his portion fertile, and his food fat.
RV : Therefore he sacrificeth unto his net, and burneth incense unto his drag; because by them his portion is fat, and his meat plenteous.

MOV : അതുനിമിത്തം അവൻ തന്റെ വല കുടഞ്ഞു, ജാതികളെ ആദരിക്കാതെ നിത്യം കൊല്ലുവാൻ പോകുമോ?
KJV : Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
YLT : Doth he therefore empty his net, And continually to slay nations spare not?
RV : Shall he therefore empty his net, and not spare to slay the nations continually?
RSV : Is he then to keep on emptying his net, and mercilessly slaying nations for ever?

ERVEN : Will he continue to take riches with his net? Will he continue destroying people without showing mercy?
