MOV : പാർസിരാജാവായ കോരെശിന്റെ മൂന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ ബേൽത്ത് ശസ്സർ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ദാനീയേലിന്നു ഒരു കാര്യം വെളിപ്പെട്ടു; ആ കാര്യം സത്യവും മഹാകഷ്ടമുള്ളതും ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ ആ കാര്യം ചിന്തിച്ചു ദർശനത്തിന്നു ശ്രദ്ധവെച്ചു.
KJV : In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing [was] true, but the time appointed [was] long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
YLT : In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a thing is revealed to Daniel, whose name is called Belteshazzar, and the thing [is] true, and the warfare [is] great: and he hath understood the thing, and hath understanding about the appearance.

ESV : In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed to Daniel, who was named Belteshazzar. And the word was true, and it was a great conflict. And he understood the word and had understanding of the vision.
ERVEN : During the third year that Cyrus was the king of Persia, these things were shown to Daniel. (Daniel's other name is Belteshazzar.) They are true, but very hard to understand. Daniel understood them because they were explained to him in a vision.

MOV : ആ കാലത്തു ദാനീയേൽ എന്ന ഞാൻ മൂന്നു ആഴ്ചവട്ടം മുഴുവനും ദുഃഖിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
KJV : In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
YLT : `In those days, I, Daniel, have been mourning three weeks of days;

MOV : മൂന്നു ആഴ്ചവട്ടം മുഴവനും കഴിയുവോളം ഞാൻ സ്വാദുഭോജനം ഭക്ഷിക്കയോ മാംസവും വീഞ്ഞും ആസ്വദിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; എണ്ണ തേച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.
KJV : I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
YLT : desirable bread I have not eaten, and flesh and wine hath not come in unto my mouth, and I have not anointed myself at all, till the completion of three weeks of days.

MOV : എന്നാൽ ഒന്നാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തുനാലാം തിയ്യതി ഞാൻ ഹിദ്ദേക്കൽ എന്ന മഹാ നദീതീരത്തു ഇരിക്കയിൽ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കിപ്പോൾ,
KJV : And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which [is] Hiddekel;

KJV : Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins [were] girded with fine gold of Uphaz:

MOV : ദാനീയേൽ എന്ന ഞാൻ മാത്രം ഈ ദർശനം കണ്ടു; എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആളുകൾ ദർശനം കണ്ടില്ല; എങ്കിലും ഒരു മഹാഭ്രമം അവർക്കു പിടിച്ചിട്ടു അവർ ഓടിയൊളിച്ചു.
KJV : And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

MOV : അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ തനിച്ചു ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നു ഈ മഹാദർശനം കണ്ടു; എന്നിൽ ഒട്ടും ബലം ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ മുഖശോഭ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയി; എനിക്കു ഒട്ടും ബലം ഇല്ലാതെയും ആയി.
KJV : Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
YLT : and I have been left by myself, and I see this great appearance, and there hath been no power left in me, and my honour hath been turned in me to corruption, yea, I have not retained power.

KJV : Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

MOV : എന്നാറെ ഒരു കൈ എന്നെ തൊട്ടു, എന്നെ മുഴങ്കാലും ഉള്ളങ്കയ്യും ഊന്നി വിറയലോടെ നില്ക്കുമാറാക്കി.
KJV : And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and [upon] the palms of my hands.
YLT : and lo, a hand hath come against me, and shaketh me on my knees and the palms of my hands.

MOV : അവൻ എന്നോടു: ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയപുരുഷനായ ദാനീയേലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്ന വചനങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു നിവിർന്നുനിൽക്ക; ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ ഈ വാക്കു എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ വിറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിവിർന്നുനിന്നു.
KJV : And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

ESV : And he said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly loved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for now I have been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling.
ERVEN : The man in the vision said to me, "Daniel, God loves you very much. Think very carefully about the words I will speak to you. Stand up, I have been sent to you." And when he said this, I stood up. I was still shaking because I was afraid.

MOV : അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ദാനീയേലേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നീ തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും മനസ്സുവെച്ച ആദ്യദിവസംമുതൽ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ വാക്കു ഹേതുവായി തന്നേ ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
YLT : And he saith unto me: Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that thou didst give thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words have been heard, and I have come because of thy words.
RV : Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and, to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard: and I am come for thy words- sake.
RSV : Then he said to me, "Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.

ESV : Then he said to me, "Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.
ERVEN : Then the man in the vision started talking again. He said, "Daniel, do not be afraid. From the very first day you decided to have wisdom and to be humble in front of God, he has been listening to your prayers. I came to you because you have been praying.

MOV : പാർസിരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭു ഇരുപത്തൊന്നു ദിവസം എന്നോടു എതിർത്തുനിന്നു; എങ്കിലും പ്രധാന പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ മീഖായേൽ എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ വന്നു: അവനെ ഞാൻ പാർസിരാജാക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവിടെ വിട്ടേച്ചു,
KJV : But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
YLT : `And the head of the kingdom of Persia is standing over-against me twenty and one days, and lo, Michael, first of the chief heads, hath come in to help me, and I have remained there near the kings of Persia;
RV : But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
RSV : The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, so I left him there with the prince of the kingdom of Persia
ASV : But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
ESV : The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia,
ERVEN : But the prince (angel) of Persia has been fighting against me for 21 days. Then Michael, one of the most important princes (angels), came to help me because I was stuck there with the king of Persia.

MOV : നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ഭാവികാലത്തു സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു നിന്നെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ദർശനം ഇനിയും ബഹുകാലത്തേക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു.
KJV : Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision [is] for [many] days.
YLT : and I have come to cause thee to understand that which doth happen to thy people in the latter end of the days, for yet the vision [is] after days.
RV : Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for the vision is yet for {cf15i many} days.
RSV : and came to make you understand what is to befall your people in the latter days. For the vision is for days yet to come."
ASV : Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for many days:

ERVEN : Now I have come to you Daniel, to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future. The vision is about a time in the future."

MOV : അവൻ ഈ വാക്കുകളെ എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ മുഖം കുനിച്ചു ഊമനായ്തീർന്നു.
KJV : And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.
YLT : `And when he speaketh with me about these things, I have set my face toward the earth, and have been silent;
RV : and when he had spoken unto me according to these words, I set my face toward the ground, and was dumb.
RSV : When he had spoken to me according to these words, I turned my face toward the ground and was dumb.

ERVEN : While the man was talking to me, I bowed low with my face toward the ground. I could not speak.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യരോടു സദൃശനായ ഒരുത്തൻ എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ തൊട്ടു; ഉടനെ ഞാൻ വായ്തുറന്നു സംസാരിച്ചു; എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നവനോടു: യജമാനനേ, ഈ ദർശനംനിമിത്തം എനിക്കു അതി വേദന പിടിപെട്ടു ശക്തിയില്ലാതായിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : And, behold, [one] like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
YLT : and lo, as the manner of the sons of men, he is striking against my lips, and I open my mouth, and I speak, and say unto him who is standing over-against me: My lord, by the appearance turned have been my pangs against me, and I have retained no power.

ERVEN : Then the one who looked like a man touched my lips. I opened my mouth and started to speak. I said to the one standing in front of me, "Sir, I am upset and afraid because of what I saw in the vision. I feel helpless.

MOV : അടിയന്നു യജമാനനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും? എനിക്കു പെട്ടെന്നു ശക്തിയില്ലാതായി ശ്വാസം ശേഷിച്ചിരിപ്പില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.
YLT : And how is the servant of this my lord able to speak with this my lord? as for me, henceforth there remaineth in me no power, yea, breath hath not been left in me.
RV : For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither was there breath left in me.
RSV : How can my lord's servant talk with my lord? For now no strength remains in me, and no breath is left in me."

ERVEN : Sir, I am Daniel your servant. How can I talk with you? My strength is gone and it is hard for me to breathe."

MOV : അപ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യസാദൃശ്യത്തിലുള്ളവൻ പിന്നെയും വന്നു എന്നെ തൊട്ടു ബലപ്പെടുത്തി:
KJV : Then there came again and touched me [one] like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,
YLT : `And he addeth, and striketh against me, as the appearance of a man, and strengtheneth me,
RV : Then there touched me again one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me.
RSV : Again one having the appearance of a man touched me and strengthened me.

ERVEN : The one who looked like a man touched me again. When he touched me, I felt better.

MOV : ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയപുരുഷാ, ഭിയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിനക്കു സമാധാനം! ബലപ്പെട്ടിരിക്ക, ബലപ്പെട്ടിരിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ബലപ്പെട്ടു: യജമാനനേ, സംസാരിക്കേണമേ; നീ എന്നെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace [be] unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
YLT : and he saith: Do not fear, O man greatly desired, peace to thee, be strong, yea, be strong; and when he speaketh with me, I have strengthened myself, and I say, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.

ERVEN : Then he said, "Daniel, don't be afraid. God loves you very much. Peace be with you. Be strong now, be strong." When he spoke to me, I became stronger. Then I said, "Sir, you have given me strength. Now you can speak."

MOV : അതിന്നു അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിനെന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ? ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ പാർസിപ്രഭുവിനോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്‍വാൻ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകും; ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെട്ട ശേഷമോ, യവന പ്രഭു വരും.
KJV : Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

ERVEN : So then he said, "Daniel, do you know why I have come to you? Soon I must go back to fight against the prince (angel) of Persia. When I go, the prince (angel) of Greece will come.

KJV : But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and [there is] none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
YLT : but I declare to thee that which is noted down in the Writing of Truth, and there is not one strengthening himself with me, concerning these, except Michael your head.
