MOV : ആകയാൽ നാം എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? കൃപ പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നു പാപം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്ക എന്നോ? ഒരുനാളും അരുതു.
KJV : What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
YLT : What, then, shall we say? shall we continue in the sin that the grace may abound?

ERVEN : So do you think we should continue sinning so that God will give us more and more grace?

MOV : പാപസംബന്ധമായി മരിച്ചവരായ നാം ഇനി അതിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
KJV : God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
YLT : let it not be! we who died to the sin -- how shall we still live in it?
RV : God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?
RSV : By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
ASV : God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?

ERVEN : Of course not! Our old sinful life ended. It's dead. So how can we continue living in sin?

KJV : Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

ERVEN : Did you forget that all of us became part of Christ Jesus when we were baptized? In our baptism we shared in his death.

MOV : നാം ഇനി പാപത്തിന്നു അടിമപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം പാപശരീരത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നമ്മുടെ പഴയ മനുഷ്യൻ അവനോടുകൂടെ ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.
KJV : Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him,] that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
YLT : this knowing, that our old man was crucified with [him], that the body of the sin may be made useless, for our no longer serving the sin;

KJV : Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

MOV : അവ്വണ്ണം നിങ്ങളും പാപ സംബന്ധമായി മരിച്ചവർ എന്നു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ജീവിക്കുന്നവർ എന്നും നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ എണ്ണുവിൻ.
KJV : Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

MOV : ആകയാൽ പാപം നിങ്ങളുടെ മർത്യശരീരത്തിൽ അതിന്റെ മോഹങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കുമാറു ഇനി വാഴരുതു,
KJV : Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
YLT : Let not then the sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires;

ERVEN : But don't let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do.

MOV : നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ അനീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങളായി പാപത്തിന്നു സമർപ്പിക്കയും അരുതു. നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ മരിച്ചിട്ടു ജീവിക്കുന്നവരായും നിങ്ങളുടെ അവയവങ്ങളെ നീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങളായും ദൈവത്തിന്നു സമർപ്പിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.
KJV : Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God.
YLT : neither present ye your members instruments of unrighteousness to the sin, but present yourselves to God as living out of the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God;
RV : neither present your members unto sin {cf15i as} instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members {cf15i as} instruments of righteousness unto God.
RSV : Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness.

ERVEN : Don't offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don't use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good.

MOV : നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്നല്ല, കൃപെക്കത്രെ അധീനരാകയാൽ പാപം നിങ്ങളിൽ കർത്തൃത്വം നടത്തുകയില്ലല്ലോ.
KJV : For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

MOV : നിങ്ങൾ ദാസന്മാരായി അനുസരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ സമർപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചു പോരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു ദാസന്മാർ ആകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഒന്നുകിൽ മരണത്തിന്നായി പാപത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നീതിക്കായി അനുസരണത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ തന്നേ.

ERVEN : Surely you know that you become the slaves of whatever you give yourselves to. Anything or anyone you follow will be your master. You can follow sin, or you can obey God. Following sin brings spiritual death, but obeying God makes you right with him.

KJV : But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
YLT : and thanks to God, that ye were servants of the sin, and -- were obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which ye were delivered up;

KJV : I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
YLT : In the manner of men I speak, because of the weakness of your flesh, for even as ye did present your members servants to the uncleanness and to the lawlessness -- to the lawlessness, so now present your members servants to the righteousness -- to sanctification,

ERVEN : I use this example from everyday life because you need help in understanding spiritual truths. In the past you offered the parts of your body to be slaves to your immoral and sinful thoughts. The result was that you lived only for sin. In the same way, you must now offer yourselves to be slaves to what is right. Then you will live only for God.

MOV : നിങ്ങൾ പാപത്തിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ നീതിയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു സ്വതന്ത്രരായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.
KJV : For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

KJV : What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things [is] death.
YLT : what fruit, therefore, were ye having then, in the things of which ye are now ashamed? for the end of those [is] death.

RSV : But then what return did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? The end of those things is death.

MOV : എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ പാപത്തിൽനിന്നു സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായിരിക്കയാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഫലം വിശുദ്ധീകരണവും അതിന്റെ അന്തം നിത്യജീവനും ആകുന്നു.
KJV : But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
YLT : And now, having been freed from the sin, and having become servants to God, ye have your fruit -- to sanctification, and the end life age-during;
