KJV : The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
YLT : The Burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish, For it hath been destroyed, Without house, without entrance, From the land of Chittim it was revealed to them.

ERVEN : This is a message about Tyre: Ships traveling from Cyprus heard this message: "Cry, you ships from Tarshish! Your harbor has been destroyed."

MOV : സമുദ്രതീരനിവാസികളേ, മിണ്ടാതെയിരിപ്പിൻ; സമുദ്രസഞ്ചാരം ചെയ്യുന്ന സീദോന്യവർത്തകന്മാർ നിന്നെ പരിപൂർണ്ണയാക്കിയല്ലോ.
KJV : Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
YLT : Be silent, ye inhabitants of the isle, Trader of Zidon, passing the sea, they filled thee.
RV : Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
RSV : Be still, O inhabitants of the coast, O merchants of Sidon; your messengers passed over the sea
ASV : Be still, ye inhabitants of the coast, thou whom the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
ESV : Be still, O inhabitants of the coast; the merchants of Sidon, who cross the sea, have filled you.
ERVEN : People living near the sea, mourn in silence. The merchants of Sidon sent traders across the sea and filled the city with riches.

MOV : വലിയ വെള്ളത്തിന്മേൽ സീഹോർപ്രദേശത്തെ കൃഷിയും നീലനദിയിങ്കലെ കൊയ്ത്തും അതിന്നു ആദായമായ്‍വന്നു; അതു ജാതികളുടെ ചന്ത ആയിരുന്നു.
KJV : And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, [is] her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.
YLT : And in many waters [is] the seed of Sihor, The harvest of the brook [is] her increase, And she is a mart of nations.
RV : And on great waters the seed of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue; and she was the mart of nations.

ERVEN : They traveled the seas looking for grain. The men from Tyre bought grain that grows near the Nile River and sold it to other nations.

MOV : സീദോനേ, ലജ്ജിച്ചുകൊൾക; എനിക്കു നോവു കിട്ടീട്ടില്ല, ഞാൻ പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, ബാലന്മാരെ പോറ്റീട്ടില്ല, കന്യകമാരെ വളർത്തീട്ടുമില്ല എന്നു സമുദ്രം, സമുദ്രദുർഗ്ഗം തന്നേ, പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, [even] the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, [nor] bring up virgins.
YLT : Be ashamed, O Zidon; for the sea spake, The strength of the sea, saying: `I have not been pained, nor have I brought forth, Nor have I nourished young men, [nor] brought up virgins.`
RV : Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, the strong hold of the sea; saying, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.

ESV : Be ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying: "I have neither labored nor given birth, I have neither reared young men nor brought up young women."
ERVEN : Sidon, you should be very sad, because now the Sea and the Fort of the Sea say, "I have no children. I have never felt the pain of birth; I have never given birth to children. I have never raised young men and women."

MOV : കിരീടം നല്കുന്നതും വർത്തകന്മാർ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വ്യാപാരികൾ ഭൂമിയിലെ മഹാന്മാരുമായുള്ളതുമായ സോരിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അതു നിർണ്ണയിച്ചതാർ?
KJV : Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning [city,] whose merchants [are] princes, whose traffickers [are] the honourable of the earth?
YLT : Who hath counselled this against Tyre, The crowning one, whose traders [are] princes, Her merchants the honoured of earth?`

ERVEN : This city produced so many leaders. Its merchants were like princes. Its traders had the whole world's respect. So who made these plans against Tyre?

MOV : സകല മഹത്വത്തിന്റെയും ഗർവ്വത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമഹാന്മാരെയും അപമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അതു നിർണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, [and] to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
YLT : Jehovah of Hosts hath counselled it, To pollute the excellency of all beauty, To make light all the honoured of earth.

ERVEN : It was the Lord All-Powerful. He decided to destroy the great things they were so proud of. He wanted to disgrace those who were so highly respected.

MOV : തർശീശ് പുത്രിയേ, ഇനി ബന്ധനമില്ലായ്കയാൽ നീ നീലനദിപോലെ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുക.
KJV : Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: [there is] no more strength.
YLT : Pass through thy land as a brook, Daughter of Tarshish, there is no more a girdle.

ERVEN : Ships from Tarshish, go back home. Cross the sea as if it were a river. No one will stop you now.

MOV : അവൻ സമുദ്രത്തിന്മേൽ കൈ നീട്ടി, രാജ്യങ്ങളെ നടുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ കനാനെക്കുറിച്ചു അതിന്റെ കോട്ടകളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ കല്പനകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു
KJV : He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant [city,] to destroy the strong holds thereof.
YLT : His hand He hath stretched out over the sea, He hath caused kingdoms to tremble, Jehovah hath charged concerning the merchant one, To destroy her strong places.
RV : He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he hath shaken the kingdoms: the LORD hath given commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strong holds thereof.

ERVEN : The Lord raised his arm over the sea to make the kingdoms angry enough to fight against Tyre. He commanded Canaan to destroy her place of safety.

MOV : ബലാൽക്കാരം അനുഭവിച്ച കന്യകയായ സീദോൻ പുത്രീ, ഇനി നീ ഉല്ലസിക്കയില്ല; എഴുന്നേറ്റു കിത്തീമിലേക്കു കടന്നുപോക; അവിടെയും നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു അവൻ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
YLT : And He saith, `Thou dost not add any more to exult, O oppressed one, virgin daughter of Zidon, To Chittim arise, pass over, Even there -- there is no rest for thee.`

ERVEN : He said, "Daughter Sidon, you have been hurt badly, so you will no longer rejoice like a bride. Go ahead, go to Cyprus for help, but you will not find a place to rest there either."

MOV : ഇതാ, കല്ദയരുടെ ദേശം! ഈ ജനം ഇല്ലാതെയായി; അശ്ശൂർ അതിനെ മരുമൃഗങ്ങൾക്കായി നിയമിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കാവൽമാളികകളെ പണിതു അതിലെ അരമനകളെ ഇടിച്ചു, അതിനെ ശൂന്യകൂമ്പാരമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.
KJV : Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, [til] the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; [and] he brought it to ruin.
YLT : Lo, the land of the Chaldeans -- this people was not, Asshur founded it for the Ziim, They raised its watch-towers, They lifted up her palaces, -- He hath appointed her for a ruin!
RV : Behold, the land of the Chaldeans; this people is no more; the Assyrian hath appointed it for the beasts of the wilderness: they set up their towers, they overthrew the palaces thereof; he made it a ruin.
RSV : Behold the land of the Chaldeans! This is the people; it was not Assyria. They destined Tyre for wild beasts. They erected their siegetowers, they razed her palaces, they made her a ruin.
ASV : Behold, the land of the Chaldeans: this people was not; the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness; they set up their towers; they overthrew the palaces thereof; they made it a ruin.
ESV : Behold the land of the Chaldeans! This is the people that was not; Assyria destined it for wild beasts. They erected their siege towers, they stripped her palaces bare, they made her a ruin.
ERVEN : As for Babylon, look at the land of the Chaldeans! It is not even a country now. Assyria built war towers to attack it. The soldiers took everything from the beautiful houses. Assyria destroyed Babylon. They turned it into a pile of ruins and made it a place for wild animals.

MOV : അന്നാളിൽ സോർ, ഒരു രാജാവിന്റെ കാലത്തിന്നൊത്ത എഴുപതു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു മറന്നുകിടക്കും; എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു സോരിന്നു വേശ്യയുടെ പാട്ടുപോലെ സംഭവിക്കും:
KJV : And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
YLT : And it hath come to pass, in that day, That forgotten is Tyre seventy years, According to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years there is to Tyre as the song of the harlot.
RV : And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years it shall be unto Tyre as in the song of the harlot.
RSV : In that day Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, like the days of one king. At the end of seventy years, it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the harlot:

ESV : In that day Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, like the days of one king. At the end of seventy years, it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the prostitute:
ERVEN : People will forget about Tyre for 70 years—that is, about the length of a king's rule. After 70 years, Tyre will be like the prostitute in this song:

MOV : മറന്നു കിടന്നിരുന്ന വേശ്യയേ, വീണയെടുത്തു പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചുറ്റിനടക്ക; നിന്നെ ഓർമ്മ വരേണ്ടതിന്നു നല്ല രാഗം മീട്ടി വളരെ പാട്ടു പാടുക.
KJV : Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
YLT : Take a harp, go round the city, O forgotten harlot, play well, Multiply song that thou mayest be remembered.
RV : Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
RSV : "Take a harp, go about the city, O forgotten harlot! Make sweet melody, sing many songs, that you may be remembered."

ERVEN : "Oh, woman who men forgot, take your harp and walk through the city. Play your song well and sing it often. Maybe someone will remember you."

MOV : എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യഹോവ സോരിനെ സന്ദർശിക്കും; അപ്പോൾ അതു തന്റെ ആദായത്തിന്നായി തിരിഞ്ഞു, ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലലോകരാജ്യങ്ങളോടും വേശ്യാവൃത്തി ചെയ്യും.
KJV : And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
YLT : And it hath come to pass, At the end of seventy years Jehovah inspecteth Tyre, And she hath repented of her gift, That she committed fornication With all kingdoms of the earth on the face of the ground.
RV : And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
RSV : At the end of seventy years, the LORD will visit Tyre, and she will return to her hire, and will play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
ASV : And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that Jehovah will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
ESV : At the end of seventy years, the LORD will visit Tyre, and she will return to her wages and will prostitute herself with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.
ERVEN : After 70 years, the Lord will review Tyre's case, and he will give her a decision. Tyre will again have trade. She will be like a prostitute for all the nations on earth.

MOV : എന്നാൽ അതിന്റെ വ്യാപാരവും ആദായവും യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധം ആയിരിക്കും; അതിനെ നിക്ഷേപിക്കയോ സ്വരൂപിച്ചുവെക്കയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; അതിന്റെ വ്യാപാരം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവർക്കു മതിയായ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നും മോടിയുള്ള ഉടുപ്പിനുമായി ഉതകും.
KJV : And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
YLT : And her merchandise and her gift have been holy to Jehovah, Not treasured up nor stored, For to those sitting before Jehovah is her merchandise, To eat to satiety, and for a lasting covering!
RV : And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
RSV : Her merchandise and her hire will be dedicated to the LORD; it will not be stored or hoarded, but her merchandise will supply abundant food and fine clothing for those who dwell before the LORD.

ESV : Her merchandise and her wages will be holy to the LORD. It will not be stored or hoarded, but her merchandise will supply abundant food and fine clothing for those who dwell before the LORD.
ERVEN : But Tyre will not keep the money she earns. The profit from her trade will be saved for the Lord. Tyre will give that money to the people who serve the Lord to buy good food and nice clothes.
