KJV : And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

KJV : And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She [is] my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

KJV : But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou [art but] a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she [is] a man’s wife.
YLT : And God cometh in unto Abimelech in a dream of the night, and saith to him, `Lo, thou [art] a dead man, because of the woman whom thou hast taken -- and she married to a husband.`

MOV : ഇവൾ എന്റെ പെങ്ങളാകുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ. അവൻ എന്റെ ആങ്ങള എന്നു അവളും പറഞ്ഞു. ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയോടും കയ്യുടെ നിർമ്മലതയോടും കൂടെ ഞാൻ ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : Said he not unto me, She [is] my sister? and she, even she herself said, He [is] my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
YLT : hath not he himself said to me, She [is] my sister! and she, even she herself, said, He [is] my brother; in the integrity of my heart, and in the innocency of my hands, I have done this.`

MOV : അതിന്നു ദൈവം സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ അവനോടു: നീ ഇതു ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയോടെ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; നീ എന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ തടുത്തു; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു അവളെ തൊടുവാൻ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സമ്മതിക്കാതിരുന്നതു.
KJV : And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
YLT : And God saith unto him in the dream, `Yea, I -- I have known that in the integrity of thy heart thou hast done this, and I withhold thee, even I, from sinning against Me, therefore I have not suffered thee to come against her;
RV : And God said unto him in the dream, Yea, I know that in the integrity of thy heart thou hast done this, and I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
RSV : Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know that you have done this in the integrity of your heart, and it was I who kept you from sinning against me; therefore I did not let you touch her.

ERVEN : Then God said to Abimelech in a dream, "Yes, I know that you are innocent and that you did not know what you were doing. I saved you. I did not allow you to sin against me. I was the one who did not allow you to sleep with her.

MOV : ഇപ്പോൾ ആ പുരുഷന്നു അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്ക; അവൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ ആകുന്നു; നീ ജീവനോടിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കട്ടെ. അവളെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാതിരുന്നാലോ, നീയും നിനക്കുള്ളവരൊക്കെയും മരിക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾക എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
KJV : Now therefore restore the man [his] wife; for he [is] a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore [her] not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that [are] thine.
YLT : and now send back the man`s wife, for he [is] inspired, and he doth pray for thee, and live thou; and if thou do not send back, know that dying thou dost die, thou, and all that thou hast.`
RV : Now therefore restore the man-s wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

ERVEN : So give Abraham his wife again. He is a prophet. He will pray for you, and you will live. But if you don't give Sarah back to him, I promise that you will die. And all your family will die with you."

MOV : അബീമേലെൿ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവനോടു: നീ ഞങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? നീ എന്റെ മേലും എന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിന്മേലും ഒരു മഹാപാപം വരുത്തുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു എന്തു ദോഷം ചെയ്തു? ചെയ്യരുതാത്ത കാര്യം നീ എന്നോടു ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
YLT : and Abimelech calleth for Abraham, and saith to him, `What hast thou done to us? and what have I sinned against thee, that thou hast brought upon me, and upon my kingdom, a great sin? works which are not done thou hast done with me.`

ERVEN : Then Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, "Why have you done this to us? What wrong did I do to you? Why did you lie and say that she was your sister? You brought great trouble to my kingdom. You should not have done this to me.

MOV : നീ എന്തു കണ്ടിട്ടാകുന്നു ഇക്കാര്യം ചെയ്തതു എന്നു അബീമേലെൿ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അബ്രാഹാം പറഞ്ഞതു:
KJV : And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
YLT : Abimelech also saith unto Abraham, `What hast thou seen that thou hast done this thing?`
RV : And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
RSV : And Abimelech said to Abraham, "What were you thinking of, that you did this thing?"
ASV : And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?

ERVEN : What were you afraid of? Why did you do this to me?"

MOV : ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു ദൈവഭയം ഇല്ല നിശ്ചയം; എന്റെ ഭാര്യനിമിത്തം അവർ എന്നെ കൊല്ലും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചു.
KJV : And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God [is] not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.
YLT : And Abraham saith, `Because I said, `Surely the fear of God is not in this place, and they have slain me for the sake of my wife;
RV : And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife-s sake.
RSV : Abraham said, "I did it because I thought, There is no fear of God at all in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.

ERVEN : Then Abraham said, "I thought no one in this place respected God. I thought someone would kill me to get Sarah.

MOV : വാസ്തവത്തിൽ അവൾ എന്റെ പെങ്ങളാകുന്നു; എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ മകൾ; എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മകളല്ല താനും; അവൾ എനിക്കു ഭാര്യയായി.
KJV : And yet indeed [she is] my sister; she [is] the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

MOV : എന്നാൽ ദൈവം എന്നെ എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവളോടു: നീ എനിക്കു ഒരു ദയ ചെയ്യേണം: നാം ഏതൊരു ദിക്കിൽ ചെന്നാലും അവിടെ: അവൻ എന്റെ ആങ്ങള എന്നു എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.
KJV : And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This [is] thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He [is] my brother.

ERVEN : God led me away from my father's house. He led me to wander to many different places. When that happened, I told Sarah, 'Do something for me. Wherever we go, tell people you are my sister.'"

KJV : And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave [them] unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
YLT : And Abimelech taketh sheep and oxen, and servants and handmaids, and giveth to Abraham, and sendeth back to him Sarah his wife;

KJV : And Abimelech said, Behold, my land [is] before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
YLT : and Abimelech saith, `Lo, my land [is] before thee, where it is good in thine eyes, dwell;`
RV : And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
RSV : And Abimelech said, "Behold, my land is before you; dwell where it pleases you."
ASV : And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee. Dwell where it pleaseth thee.

ERVEN : And Abimelech said, "Look all around you. This is my land. You may live any place you want."

MOV : സാറയോടു അവൻ: നിന്റെ ആങ്ങളെക്കു ഞാൻ ആയിരം വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുള്ള എല്ലാവരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഇതു നിനക്കു ഒരു പ്രതിശാന്തി; നീ എല്ലാവർക്കും മുമ്പാകെ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand [pieces] of silver: behold, he [is] to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that [are] with thee, and with all [other:] thus she was reproved.
YLT : and to Sarah he hath said, `Lo, I have given a thousand silverlings to thy brother; lo, it is to thee a covering of eyes, to all who are with thee;` and by all this she is reasoned with.
RV : And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, it is for thee a covering of the eyes to all that are with thee; and in respect of all thou art righted.
RSV : To Sarah he said, "Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; it is your vindication in the eyes of all who are with you; and before every one you are righted."
ASV : And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for thee a covering of the eyes to all that are with thee. And in respect of all thou art righted.
ESV : To Sarah he said, "Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. It is a sign of your innocence in the eyes of all who are with you, and before everyone you are vindicated."
ERVEN : Abimelech said to Sarah, "I gave your brother Abraham 1000 pieces of silver. I did this to show that I am very sorry. I want everyone to see that I did the right thing."

MOV : അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അപ്പോൾ ദൈവം അബീമേലെക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അവന്റെ ദാസിമാരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, അവർ പ്രസവിച്ചു.
KJV : So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare [children. ]
YLT : And Abraham prayeth unto God, and God healeth Abimelech and his wife, and his handmaids, and they bear:

ERVEN : The Lord made all the women in Abimelech's family not able to have children. God did this because Abimelech had taken Sarah, Abraham's wife. But Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his servant girls.

KJV : For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.
YLT : for Jehovah restraining had restrained every womb of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham`s wife.
