MOV : ആ രണ്ടുദൂതന്മാർ വൈകുന്നേരത്തു സൊദോമിൽ എത്തി; ലോത്ത് സൊദോംപട്ടണ വാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു; അവരെ കാണ്ടിട്ടു ലോത്ത് എഴുന്നേറ്റു എതിരേറ്റു ചെന്നു നിലംവരെ കുനിഞ്ഞു നമസ്കരിച്ചു:
KJV : And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing [them] rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
YLT : And two of the messengers come towards Sodom at even, and Lot is sitting at the gate of Sodom, and Lot seeth, and riseth to meet them, and boweth himself -- face to the earth,

ERVEN : That evening the two angels came to the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting near the city gates and saw them. He got up and went to them. He bowed to show respect and said, "Sirs, please come to my house, and I will serve you. There you can wash your feet and stay the night. Then tomorrow you can continue your journey." The angels answered, "No, we will stay the night in the city square."

MOV : യജമാനന്മാരേ, അടിയന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകളെ കഴുകി രാപാർപ്പിൻ; കാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴിക്കു പോകയുമാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: അല്ല, ഞങ്ങൾ വീഥിയിൽ തന്നേ രാപാർക്കും എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

ESV : and said, "My lords, please turn aside to your servant's house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way." They said, "No; we will spend the night in the town square."

KJV : But before they lay down, the men of the city, [even] the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

ERVEN : That evening, just before bedtime, men from every part of town came to Lot's house. They stood around the house and called to Lot. They said,

MOV : അവർ ലോത്തിനെ വിളിച്ചു: ഈരാത്രി നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന പുരുഷന്മാർ എവിടെ? ഞങ്ങൾ അവരെ ഭോഗിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവാ എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where [are] the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

MOV : സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഇങ്ങനെ ദോഷം ചെയ്യരുതേ.
KJV : And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
YLT : and saith, `Do not, I pray you, my brethren, do evil;

MOV : പുരുഷൻ തൊടാത്ത രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാർ എനിക്കുണ്ടു; അവരെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരാം; നിങ്ങൾക്കു ബോധിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരോടു ചെയ്തുകൊൾവിൻ; ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരോടു മാത്രം ഒന്നും ചെയ്യരുതേ; ഇതിന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ അവർ എന്റെ വീട്ടിന്റെ നിഴലിൽ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as [is] good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

ERVEN : Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man before. I will give my daughters to you. You can do anything you want with them. But please don't do anything to these men. They have come to my house, and I must protect them."

MOV : മാറിനിൽക്ക എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു. ഇവനൊരുത്തൻ പരദേശിയായി വന്നു പാർക്കുന്നു; ന്യായംവിധിപ്പാനും ഭാവിക്കുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ അവരോടു ഭാവിച്ചതിലധികം നിന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്യും എന്നും അവർ പറഞ്ഞു ലോത്തിനെ ഏറ്റവും തിക്കി വാതിൽ പൊളിപ്പാൻ അടുത്തു.
KJV : And they said, Stand back. And they said [again,] This one [fellow] came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, [even] Lot, and came near to break the door.
YLT : And they say, `Come nigh hither;` they say also, `This one hath come in to sojourn, and he certainly judgeth! now, we do evil to thee more than [to] them;` and they press against the man, against Lot greatly, and come nigh to break the door.
RV : And they said, Stand back. And they said, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and drew near to break the door.
RSV : But they said, "Stand back!" And they said, "This fellow came to sojourn, and he would play the judge! Now we will deal worse with you than with them." Then they pressed hard against the man Lot, and drew near to break the door.
ASV : And they said, Stand back. And they said, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and drew near to break the door.
ESV : But they said, "Stand back!" And they said, "This fellow came to sojourn, and he has become the judge! Now we will deal worse with you than with them." Then they pressed hard against the man Lot, and drew near to break the door down.
ERVEN : The men surrounding the house answered, "Get out of our way!" They said to themselves, "This man Lot came to our city as a visitor. Now he wants to tell us how we should live!" Then the men said to Lot, "We will do worse things to you than to them." So the men started moving closer and closer to Lot. They were about to break down the door.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ ആ പുരുാഷന്മാർ കൈ പുറത്തോട്ടു നീട്ടി ലോത്തിനെ തങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അകത്തു കയറ്റി വാതിൽഅടെച്ചു,
KJV : But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
YLT : And the men put forth their hand, and bring in Lot unto them, into the house, and have shut the door;

MOV : വാതിൽക്കൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരുഷന്മാർക്കു അബാലവൃദ്ധം അന്ധത പിടിപ്പിച്ചു. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ വാതിൽ തപ്പി നടന്നു വിഷമിച്ചു.
KJV : And they smote the men that [were] at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
YLT : and the men who [are] at the opening of the house they have smitten with blindness, from small even unto great, and they weary themselves to find the opening.

ERVEN : Then they did something to the men outside the door—they caused all these evil men, young and old, to become blind. So the men trying to get in the house could not find the door.

MOV : ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ ലോത്തിനോടു: ഇവിടെ നിനക്കു മറ്റു വല്ലവരുമുണ്ടോ? മരുമക്കളോ പുത്രന്മാരോ പുത്രിമാരോ ഇങ്ങനെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിനക്കുള്ളവരെയൊക്കെയും ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുപൊയ്ക്കെൾക;
KJV : And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring [them] out of this place:
YLT : And the men say unto Lot, `Whom hast thou here still? son-in-law, thy sons also, and thy daughters, and all whom thou hast in the city, bring out from this place;
RV : And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whomsoever thou hast in the city; bring them out of the place:

ESV : Then the men said to Lot, "Have you anyone else here? Sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone you have in the city, bring them out of the place.
ERVEN : The two men said to Lot, "Are there any other people from your family living in this city? Do you have any sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or any other people from your family here? If so, you should tell them to leave now.

MOV : ഇവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ആവലാധി യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വലുതായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കും. അതിനെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

MOV : അങ്ങനെ ലോത്ത് ചെന്നു തന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്‍വാനുള്ള മരുമക്കളോടു സംസാരിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഈ സ്ഥലം വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെടുവിൻ; യഹോവ ഈ പട്ടണം നശിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ അവൻ കളി പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവന്റെ മരുമക്കൾക്കു തോന്നി.
KJV : And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
YLT : And Lot goeth out, and speaketh unto his sons-in-law, those taking his daughters, and saith, `Rise, go out from this place, for Jehovah is destroying the city;` and he is as [one] mocking in the eyes of his sons-in-law.
RV : And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy the city. But he seemed unto his sons in law as one that mocked.
RSV : So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, "Up, get out of this place; for the LORD is about to destroy the city." But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.
ASV : And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons-in-law, who married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for Jehovah will destroy the city. But he seemed unto his sons-in-law as one that mocked.
ESV : So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, "Up! Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city." But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.
ERVEN : So Lot went out and spoke to his sonsin- law, the men who had married his other daughters. He said, "Hurry and leave this city! The Lord will soon destroy it!" But they thought he was joking.

MOV : ഉഷസ്സായപ്പോൾ ദൂതന്മാർ ലോത്തിനെ ബദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തി: ഈ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിൽ നശിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും ഇവിടെ കാണുന്ന നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാരെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപൊയ്ക്കൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
YLT : And when the dawn hath ascended, then the messengers press upon Lot, saying, `Rise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters who are found present, lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.`
RV : And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
RSV : When morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city."
ASV : And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters that are here, lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
ESV : As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city."
ERVEN : The next morning at dawn, the angels were trying to make Lot hurry. They said, "This city will be punished, so take your wife and your two daughters who are still with you and leave this place. Then you will not be destroyed with the city."

MOV : അവൻ താമസിച്ചപ്പോൾ, യഹോവ അവനോടു കരുണ ചെയ്കയാൽ, ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ അവനെയും ഭാര്യയെയും രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാരെയും കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചു പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയിആക്കി.
KJV : And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
YLT : And he lingereth, and the men lay hold on his hand, and on the hand of his wife, and on the hand of his two daughters, through the mercy of Jehovah unto him, and they bring him out, and cause him to rest without the city.
RV : But he lingered; and the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
RSV : But he lingered; so the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him forth and set him outside the city.
ASV : But he lingered; and the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters, Jehovah being merciful unto him; and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
ESV : But he lingered. So the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters by the hand, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.
ERVEN : When Lot did not move fast enough, the two men grabbed his hand. They also took the hands of his wife and his two daughters. The two men led Lot and his family safely out of the city. The Lord was kind to Lot and his family.

MOV : അവരെ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ശേഷം അവൻ: ജീവരക്ഷെക്കായി ഓടിപ്പോക: പുറകോട്ടു നോക്കരുതു; ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെങ്ങും നിൽക്കയുമരുതു; നിനക്കു നാശം ഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ പർവ്വതത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോക എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
YLT : And it cometh to pass when he hath brought them out without, that he saith, `Escape for thy life; look not expectingly behind thee, nor stand thou in all the circuit; to the mountain escape, lest thou be consumed.`
RV : And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the Plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
RSV : And when they had brought them forth, they said, "Flee for your life; do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley; flee to the hills, lest you be consumed."
ASV : And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the Plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
ESV : And as they brought them out, one said, "Escape for your life. Do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley. Escape to the hills, lest you be swept away."
ERVEN : So after the two men brought Lot and his family out of the city, one of the men said, "Now run to save your life! Don't look back at the city, and don't stop anywhere in the valley. Run until you are in the mountains. If you stop, you will be destroyed with the city!"

MOV : ലോത്ത് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: അങ്ങനെയല്ല കർത്താവേ;
KJV : And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
YLT : And Lot saith unto them, `Not [so], I pray thee, my lord;
RV : And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my lord:
