KJV : And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel [were] in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
YLT : And the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in the cities, and the people are gathered, as one men, unto Jerusalem.

KJV : Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as [it is] written in the law of Moses the man of God.
YLT : And rise doth Jeshua son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and they build the altar of the God of Israel, to cause to ascend upon it burnt-offerings, as it is written in the law of Moses, the man of God.

ERVEN : Then Jeshua son of Jozadak and the priests with him, along with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and the people with him, built the altar of the God of Israel. They built the altar of the God of Israel so that they could offer sacrifices on it. They built it just as it says in the Law of Moses. Moses was God's special servant.

KJV : And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear [was] upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, [even] burnt offerings morning and evening.

ERVEN : They were afraid of the other people living near them, but that didn't stop them. They built the altar on its old foundation and offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord. They offered sacrifices in the morning and in the evening.

KJV : And afterward [offered] the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.
YLT : and after this a continual burnt-offering, and for new moons, and for all appointed seasons of Jehovah that are sanctified; and for every one who is willingly offering a willing-offering to Jehovah.

ERVEN : After that, they began offering the continual burnt offerings each day and the offerings for the New Moon and all the other festivals that were commanded by the Lord. The people also began giving any other gifts they wanted to give to the Lord.

KJV : They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.
YLT : and they give money to hewers and to artificers, and food, and drink, and oil to Zidonians and to Tyrians, to bring in cedar-trees from Lebanon unto the sea of Joppa, according to the permission of Cyrus king of Persia concerning them.

ERVEN : Then those who had come back from captivity gave money to the stonecutters and carpenters. They also gave food, wine, and olive oil. They used these things to pay the people of Tyre and Sidon to bring cedar logs from Lebanon. They wanted to bring the logs in ships to the seacoast town of Joppa as they did for the first Temple. King Cyrus of Persia gave permission for them to do this.

They appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to supervise the work of the house of the LORD.
ERVEN : So in the second month of the second year after they came to the Temple in Jerusalem, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak began the work. Their brothers, the priests, Levites, and everyone who came back to Jerusalem from captivity began working with them. They chose Levites who were 20 years old and older to be the leaders in the building of the Lord's Temple.

YLT : And Jeshua standeth, [and] his sons, and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, sons of Judah together, to overlook those doing the work in the house of God; the sons of Henadad, [and] their sons and their brethren the Levites.

ERVEN : These were the men who supervised the work of building the Lord's Temple: Jeshua and his sons, Kadmiel and his sons (the descendants of Judah), the sons of Henadad and their brothers, the Levites.

MOV : പണിയുന്നവർ യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ ചട്ടപ്രകാരം യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച പുരോഹിതന്മാരെ കാഹളങ്ങളോടും ആസാഫ്യരായ ലേവ്യരെ കൈത്താളങ്ങളോടുംകൂടെ നിർത്തി.
KJV : And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
YLT : And those building have founded the temple of Jehovah, and they appoint the priests, clothed, with trumpets, and the Levites, sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, by means of [the instruments of] David king of Israel.

ASV : And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Jehovah, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise Jehovah, after the order of David king of Israel.
ESV : And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, the priests in their vestments came forward with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the directions of David king of Israel.
ERVEN : The builders finished laying the foundation for the Lord's Temple. When the foundation was finished, the priests put on their special clothing. Then they got their trumpets, and the sons of Asaph got their cymbals. They all took their places to praise the Lord. This was done the way King David of Israel had ordered in the past.

MOV : അവർ യഹോവയെ: അവൻ നല്ലവൻ; യിസ്രായേലിനോടു അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളതു എന്നിങ്ങനെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ഗാനപ്രതിഗാനം ചെയ്തു. അവർ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുമ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു ജനമെല്ലാം അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ ആർത്തുഘോഷിച്ചു.
KJV : And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because [he is] good, for his mercy [endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
YLT : And they respond in praising and in giving thanks to Jehovah, for good, for to the age His kindness [is] over Israel, and all the people have shouted -- a great shout -- in giving praise to Jehovah, because the house of Jehovah hath been founded.

ASV : And they sang one to another in praising and giving thanks unto Jehovah, saying, For he is good, for his lovingkindness endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Jehovah, because the foundation of the house of Jehovah was laid.
ESV : And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, "For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever toward Israel." And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
ERVEN : They sang the response songs, Songs of Praise and Praise the Lord Because He is Good. His Faithful Love Will Last Forever. Then all the people cheered—they gave a loud shout and praised the Lord. They did this because the foundation of the Lord's Temple had been laid.

MOV : എന്നാൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാരിലും ലേവ്യരിലും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിലും മുമ്പിലത്തെ ആലയം കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള വയോധികന്മാരായ അനേകർ ഈ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഉറക്കെ കരഞ്ഞുപോയി; മറ്റു പലരും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ആർത്തു.
KJV : But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, [who were] ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:

ERVEN : But many of the older priests, Levites, and family leaders cried, because the older people had seen the first Temple—{and they remembered how beautiful it was}. They cried out when they saw the new Temple. They cried while many of the other people were happy and shouting.

MOV : അങ്ങനെ ജനത്തിൽ സന്തോഷഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദവും കരച്ചലിന്റെ ശബ്ദവും തമ്മിൽ തിരിച്ചറിവാൻ കഴിയാതെയിരുന്നു; ജനം അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ ഘോഷിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഘോഷം ബഹുദൂരം കേട്ടു.
KJV : So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.
YLT : and the people are not discerning the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people, for the people are shouting -- a great shout -- and the noise hath been heard unto a distance.

ESV : so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people's weeping, for the people shouted with a great shout, and the sound was heard far away.
ERVEN : The sound could be heard far away. All of them made so much noise that no one could tell the difference between the shouts of joy and the crying.
