ERVEN : The word of the Lord God came to me. This was on the tenth day of the tenth month, in the ninth year of exile. He said,

MOV : മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഈ തിയ്യതി ഇന്നത്തെ തിയ്യതി തന്നേ, എഴുതിവെക്കുക; ഇന്നുതന്നേ ബാബേൽരാജാവു യെരൂശലേമിനെ ആക്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : Son of man, write thee the name of the day, [even] of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
YLT : `Son of man, write for thee the name of the day -- this self-same day leaned hath the king of Babylon toward Jerusalem in this self-same day --
RV : Son of man, write thee the name of the day, {cf15i even} of this selfsame day: the king of Babylon drew close unto Jerusalem this selfsame day.

MOV : നീ മത്സരഗൃഹത്തോടു ഒരു ഉപമ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ ഒരു കുട്ടകം അടുപ്പത്തു വെക്ക; വെച്ചു അതിൽ വെള്ളം ഒഴിക്ക.
KJV : And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set [it] on, and also pour water into it:

ERVEN : Tell this story to the family who refuses to obey (Israel). Tell them, 'This is what the Lord God says: "'Put the pot on the fire. Put on the pot and pour in the water.

MOV : മാംസകഷണങ്ങൾ, തുട കൈക്കുറകു മുതലായ നല്ല കഷണങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും തന്നേ എടുത്തു അതിൽ ഇടുക; ഉത്തമമായ അസ്ഥിഖണ്ഡങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു അതിനെ നിറെക്കുക.
KJV : Gather the pieces thereof into it, [even] every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill [it] with the choice bones.
YLT : To gather its pieces unto it, every good piece, Thigh and shoulder, the choice of the bones to fill in.

MOV : ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു വിശേഷമായതിനെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു, അതിന്റെ കീഴെ വിറകു അടുക്കി അതിനെ നല്ലവണ്ണം പുഴുങ്ങുക; അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ അതിന്നകത്തു കിടന്നു വേകട്ടെ.
KJV : Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, [and] make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
YLT : The choice of the flock to take, And also to pile of the bones under it, Boil it thoroughly, yea, cook its bones in its midst.

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അകത്തു ക്ളാവുള്ളതും ക്ളാവു വീട്ടുപോകാത്തതുമായ കുട്ടുകത്തിന്നു, രക്തപാതകമുള്ള നഗരത്തിന്നു തന്നേ, അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അതിനെ ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമായി പുറത്തെടുക്ക; ചീട്ടു അതിന്മേൽ വീണിട്ടില്ല.
KJV : Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum [is] not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall up on it.

ERVEN : "'So this is what the Lord God says: It will be bad for Jerusalem. It will be bad for that city of murderers. Jerusalem is like a pot with rust on it, and those spots of rust cannot be removed! That pot is not clean, and the rust cannot be removed, so the meat must be thrown out and not divided among the priests.

MOV : അവൾ ചൊരിങ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന രക്തം അവളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഉണ്ടു; അവൾ അതു വെറും പാറമേലത്രേ ചൊരിഞ്ഞതു; മണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു മൂടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അതു നിലത്തു ഒഴിച്ചില്ല.
KJV : For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
YLT : For her blood in her midst hath been, On a clear place of a rock she hath set it, She hath not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust.

ERVEN : Jerusalem is like a pot with rust on it. This is because the blood from the murders is still there! She put the blood on the bare rock. She did not pour the blood on the ground and cover it with dirt.

MOV : ക്രോധം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാൻ, അവൾ ചൊരിഞ്ഞ രക്തം മൂടിപ്പോകാതവണ്ണം അതിനെ വെറും പാറമേൽ തന്നേ നിർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: രക്തപാതകങ്ങളുടെ നഗരത്തിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഞാൻ വിറകുകൂമ്പാരം വലുതാക്കും.
KJV : Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
YLT : Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo [to] the city of blood, yea, I -- I make great the pile.

MOV : വിറകു കൂട്ടുക; തീ കത്തിക്ക; മാംസം വേകട്ടെ; ചാറു കുറുകട്ടെ; അസ്ഥികൾ വെന്തുപോകട്ടെ.
KJV : Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.

MOV : അതിന്റെ താമ്രം കാഞ്ഞു വെന്തുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്റെ കറ അതിൽ ഉരുകേണ്ടതിന്നും അതിന്റെ ക്ളാവു ഇല്ലാതെയാകേണ്ടതിന്നും അതു ഒഴിച്ചെടുത്തു കനലിന്മേൽ വെക്കുക.
KJV : Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and [that] the filthiness of it may be molten in it, [that] the scum of it may be consumed.
YLT : And cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted hath been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum.
RV : Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that it may be hot, and the brass thereof may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the rust of it may be consumed.

ERVEN : Then let the pot stand empty on the coals. Let it become so hot that its stains begin to glow. Those stains will be melted away. The rust will be destroyed.

MOV : അവൾ അദ്ധ്വാനംകൊണ്ടു തളർന്നുപോയി; അവളുടെ കനത്ത ക്ളാവു അവളെ വിട്ടുപോകുന്നില്ല. അവളുടെ ക്ളാവു തീയാലും വിട്ടുപോകുന്നില്ല.
KJV : She hath wearied [herself] with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum [shall be] in the fire.
YLT : [With] sorrows she hath wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goeth not out of her, In the fire [is] her scum.
RV : She hath wearied {cf15i herself} with toil: yet her great rust goeth not forth out of her; her rust {cf15i goeth not forth} by fire.
RSV : In vain I have wearied myself; its thick rust does not go out of it by fire.

ESV : She has wearied herself with toil; its abundant corrosion does not go out of it. Into the fire with its corrosion!
ERVEN : "'Jerusalem might work hard to scrub away her stains. But that 'rust' will not go away! Only the fire of punishment will remove it.

MOV : നിന്റെ മലിനമായ ദുർമ്മര്യാദനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടും നീ ശുദ്ധമാകായ്കയാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ക്രോധം നിന്റെമേൽ തീർക്കുവോളം ഇനി നിന്റെ മലിനത നീങ്ങി നീ ശുദ്ധയായ്തീരുകയില്ല.
KJV : In thy filthiness [is] lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.
YLT : In thine uncleanness [is] wickedness, Because I have cleansed thee, And thou hast not been cleansed, From thine uncleanness thou art not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on thee.
RV : In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have satisfied my fury upon thee.
RSV : Its rust is your filthy lewdness. Because I would have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your filthiness, you shall not be cleansed any more till I have satisfied my fury upon you.
ASV : In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have cleansed thee and thou wast not cleansed, thou shalt not be cleansed from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my wrath toward thee to rest.
ESV : On account of your unclean lewdness, because I would have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your uncleanness, you shall not be cleansed anymore till I have satisfied my fury upon you.
ERVEN : "'You sinned against me and became stained with sin. I wanted to wash you and make you clean, but the stains would not come out. I will not try washing you again until my hot anger is finished with you!

MOV : യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ അതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു സംഭവിക്കും; ഞാൻ അതു അനുഷ്ഠിക്കും; ഞാൻ പിന്മാറുകയില്ല, ആദരിക്കയില്ല, സഹതപിക്കയുമില്ല, നിന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നും ക്രിയകൾക്കും തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ നിന്നെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
KJV : I the LORD have spoken [it:] it shall come to pass, and I will do [it;] I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.
YLT : I, Jehovah, hath spoken, It hath come, and I have done [it], I do not free, nor do I spare, nor do I repent, According to thy ways, and according to thine acts, they have judged thee, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.`

ESV : I am the LORD. I have spoken; it shall come to pass; I will do it. I will not go back; I will not spare; I will not relent; according to your ways and your deeds you will be judged, declares the Lord GOD."
ERVEN : "'I am the Lord. I said your punishment would come, and I will make it happen. I will not hold back the punishment or feel sorry for you. I will punish you for the evil things you did. This is what the Lord God said.'"

MOV : മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ ആനന്ദമായവളെ ഒരേ അടിയാൽ നിങ്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തുകളയും; നീ വിലപിക്കയോ കരകയോ കണ്ണുനീർ വാർക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.
KJV : Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.
YLT : `Son of man, lo, I am taking from thee the desire of thine eyes by a stroke, and thou dost not mourn, nor weep, nor let thy tear come.

ERVEN : "Son of man, you love your wife very much, but I am going to take her away from you. Your wife will die suddenly, but you must not show your sadness. You must not cry loudly. You will cry and your tears will fall,

MOV : നീ മൌനമായി നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടുകൊൾക; മൃതവിലാപം കഴിക്കരുതു; തലെക്കു തലപ്പാവു കെട്ടി കാലിന്നു ചെരിപ്പിടുക; അധരം മൂടരുതു; മറ്റുള്ളവർ കൊടുത്തയക്കുന്ന അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും അരുതു.
KJV : Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not [thy] lips, and eat not the bread of men.
YLT : Cease to groan, [for] the dead thou dost make no mourning, thy bonnet bind on thee, and thy shoes thou dost put on thy feet, and thou dost not cover over the upper lip, and bread of men thou dost not eat.`
RV : Sigh, but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead, bind thy headtire upon thee, and put thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.

ERVEN : but you must mourn quietly. Dress as you normally do; wear your turban and sandals; don't cover your mustache, and don't eat the food people normally eat when someone dies."

MOV : അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ രാവിലെ ജനത്തോടു സംസാരിച്ചു; വൈകുന്നേരത്തു എന്റെ ഭാര്യ മരിച്ചു; എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ പിറ്റെ രാവിലെ ചെയ്തു.
KJV : So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
YLT : And I speak unto the people in the morning, and my wife dieth in the evening, and I do in the morning as I have been commanded.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ ജനം എന്നോടു: നീ ഈ ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്റെ അർത്ഥം എന്തു? ഞങ്ങൾക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതരികയില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
KJV : And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these [things are] to us, that thou doest [so? ]
YLT : And the people say unto me, `Dost thou not declare to us what these [are] to us, that thou art doing?`
RV : And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?
RSV : And the people said to me, "Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are acting thus?"
ASV : And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?
ESV : And the people said to me, "Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are acting thus?"
ERVEN : Then the people said to me, "Why are you doing this? What does it mean?"

MOV : അതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

ERVEN : to speak to the family of Israel. The Lord God said, 'Look, I will destroy my holy place. You are proud of that place and sing songs of praise about it. You love to see it. You really love that place. But I will destroy it, and your children that you left behind will be killed in battle.

ERVEN : The Lord said to me, "Son of man, I will take away the place that makes the people feel safe—Jerusalem, that beautiful city that makes them so happy. They really love that place. They love to look at it. But I will take it away from them, and I will also take their children. On that day one of the survivors will come to you with the bad news.
