కాని అహరోను, అతని సంతతి వారు మాత్రమే బలిపీఠంపై దహనబలులు అర్పించేందుకు అనుమతించబడ్డారు. వారికి ధూపపీఠం మీద ధూపంవేసే హక్కు కూడ వుంది. ఆలయపు అతిపరిశుద్ధ స్థలంలోని పనంతా వారే చేసేవారు. ఇశ్రాయేలు పాపపరిహారార్థం, ప్రజల పాపాలకు విచార సూచకంగా వారు ఆలయంలో ప్రాయశ్చిత్త కార్యాలు నిర్వహించేవారు. మోషే నిర్దేశించిన నియమాలను, నిబంధనలను వారు తప్పక పాటించేవారు. మోషే దేవుని సేవకుడు.

ಆದರೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಧೂಪಾರ್ಪಣೆಯ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಧೂಪವರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ದೇವರ ನಿವಾಸದ ಮಹಾಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಜನರನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಲು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಣ ಆಚಾರವನ್ನು ಅವರೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

होम करायच्या आणि धूप जाळायच्या वेदींवर धूप जाळायची परवानगी मात्र फक्त अहरोनच्या वंशजातील लोकांनाच होती. अहरोनचे हे वंशज देवाच्या अत्यंत पवित्र गाभाऱ्यात नेमलेले सर्व काम करत. इस्राएली लोकांना प्रायश्र्चित्त देऊन शुध्द करण्याचे समारंभही ते करत. मोशे याने सांगितलेले नियम आणि विधी ते पाळत. मोशे देवाचा सेवक होता.
