ಆರೋನನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಕೃಪಾಸವನ್ನು ಧೂಪದ ಹೊಗೆಯು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಆರೋನನು ಸಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
