ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ അതു ശുഭല്കഷണം എന്നു ധരിച്ചു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു അവന്റെ വാക്കു പിടിച്ചു: അതേ, നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ബെൻ-ഹദദ് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു അവനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ബെൻ-ഹദദ് അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തേക്കു വന്നു; അവൻ അവനെ രഥത്തിൽ കയറ്റി.

Now the men did diligently observe whether [any thing would come] from him, and did hastily catch [it:] and they said, Thy brother Ben-hadad. Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Ben-hadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.

Ben-Hadad's men wanted King Ahab to say something to show that he would not kill King Ben-Hadad. When Ahab called Ben-Hadad his brother, the advisors quickly said, "Yes! Ben-Hadad is your brother." Ahab said, "Bring him to me." So Ben- Hadad came to King Ahab. King Ahab asked him to get in the chariot with him.
