ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ತೀರ್ಮಾನವೇನಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು ಊರೀಮಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಇಸ್ರೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವರು. ಆತನು, ‘ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವರು. ಆತನು, ‘ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
