MOV എന്നാൽ പ്രതിവാദികളെ അഭിമുഖമായി കണ്ടു അന്യായത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രതിവാദിപ്പാൻ ഇടകിട്ടുംമുമ്പെ യാതൊരു മനുഷ്യനെയും ഏല്പിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നതു റോമക്കാർക്കു മര്യാദയല്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
YLT unto whom I answered, that it is not a custom of Romans to make a favour of any man to die, before that he who is accused may have the accusers face to face, and may receive place of defence in regard to the charge laid against [him].
RV To whom I answered, that it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man, before that the accused have the accusers face to face, and have had opportunity to make his defence concerning the matter laid against him.

ERVEN But I told them, 'When a man is accused of doing something wrong, Romans don't hand him over for others to judge. First, he must face the people accusing him. And then he must be allowed to defend himself against their charges.'
