തനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ള മനുഷ്യന്നു അവൻ ജ്ഞാനവും അറിവും സന്തോഷവും കൊടുക്കുന്നു; പാപിക്കോ ദൈവം തനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ളവന്നു അനുഭവമാകുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ധനം സമ്പാദിക്കയും സ്വരൂപിക്കയും ചെയ്വാനുള്ള കഷ്ടപ്പാടു കൊടുക്കുന്നു. അതും മായയും വൃഥാപ്രയത്നവും അത്രേ.

For [God] giveth to a man that [is] good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to [him that is] good before God. This also [is] vanity and vexation of spirit.
