ഞാനേയുള്ളു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുമില്ല എന്നു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു നിർഭയം വസിച്ചിരുന്ന ഉല്ലസിതനഗരം ഇതു തന്നേ; ഇതു ശൂന്യവും മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കു കിടപ്പിടവുമായ്തീർന്നതെങ്ങനെ; അതിന്നരികെ കൂടിപോകുന്ന ഏവനും ചൂളകത്തി കൈ കുലുക്കും.

This [is] the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I [am,] and [there is] none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, [and] wag his hand.

It will be an empty place where only wild animals go to rest. People who pass by will whistle and shake their heads when they see how badly the city was destroyed.
