মোশি দেখলেন য়ে একজন মিশরীয় একজন ইস্রায়েলীয়র প্রতি দুর্য়্ববহার করছে, তিনি তখন ইস্রায়েলী লোকটির পক্ষ সমর্থন করলেন৷ ইস্রায়েলী লোকটিকে আঘাত করার জন্য মোশি সেই মিশরীয়কে শাস্তি দিলেন এবং তাকে এমন মার দিলেন য়ে সে মরেই গেল৷

And seeing one [of them] suffer wrong, he defended [him,] and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian:
