ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದರೆ, ಇಸ್ರೇಲರೆಲ್ಲ ಆ ನಗರದ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಹಗ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಾವು ಆ ನಗರದ ಗೋಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಣಿವೆಯ ಆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆದು ಬಿಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಕಲ್ಲು ಸಹ ಉಳಿಯಲು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
