ஆனால் அவன் அந்த அதிகாரிகளின் பிள்ளைகளைக் கொல்லவில்லை. ஏனென்றால் மோசேயின் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்ட சட்டங்களுக்கு அவன் அடிபணிந்தான். கர்த்தர், "பிள்ளைகளின் செயல்களுக்காகப் பெற்றோர்கள் கொல்லப்படக்கூடாது. பெற்றோர்கள் செய்த செயல்களுக்காகப் பிள்ளைகளும் கொல்லப்படக்கூடாது. ஒருவன் தான் செய்த பாவத்துக்காகமட்டுமே தண்டிக்கப்படவேண்டும்" என்று கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.

ಆದರೆ ಆ ಸೇವಕರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ “ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮರಣಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಕೂಡದು; ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮರಣಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಕೂಡದು. ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದವರಿಗೇ ಮರಣಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು”

କିନ୍ତୁ ଅମତ୍ସିଯ ସହେି ପଦାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ ନାହିଁ ; କାହିଁକି ? ସେ ମାଶାଙ୍କେ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲିଖିତ ନିଯମକୁ ମାନିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦଇେଥିଲେ, "ପିତାମାତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧ ପାଇଁ ହତ୍ଯା କରାୟିବ ନାହିଁ। ଆଉ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧ ପାଇଁ ହତ୍ଯା କରାୟିବ ନାହିଁ। ଜଣେ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତିକୁ କବଳେ ତା'ର ନିଜର ମନ୍ଦକର୍ମ ପାଇଁ ହତ୍ଯା କରାୟିବା ଉଚିତ୍।"
