ಎದೋಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದನು. ಸೇಯೀರಿನ ಜನರು ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಂದನು. ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸತೊಡಗಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಧೂಪ ಹಾಕಿದನು.
