URV : زبُور 39میں نے کہا میں اپنی راہ کی نگرانی کرونگا تاکہ میری زبان سے خطا نہ ہو جب تک شریر میرے سامنے ہے میں اپنے مُنہ کو لگام دِئے رہونگا۔
KJV : I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
YLT : To the Overseer, to Jeduthun. -- A Psalm of David. I have said, `I observe my ways, Against sinning with my tongue, I keep for my mouth a curb, while the wicked [is] before me.`
RV : I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
RSV : To the choirmaster: to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, "I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will bridle my mouth, so long as the wicked are in my presence."

ESV : TO THE CHOIRMASTER: TO JEDUTHUN. A PSALM OF DAVID. I said, "I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, so long as the wicked are in my presence."
ERVEN : To the director: To Jeduthun. A song of David. I said, "I will be careful about what I say. I will not let my tongue cause me to sin. I will keep my mouth closed when I am around wicked people."

URV : میں گونگا بن کر خاموش رہا اور نیکی کی طرف سے بھی خاموشی اِختیار کی اور میرا غم بڑھ گیا۔
KJV : I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, [even] from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
YLT : I was dumb [with] silence, I kept silent from good, and my pain is excited.

RSV : I was dumb and silent, I held my peace to no avail; my distress grew worse,

ERVEN : So I didn't say anything. I didn't even say anything good, but I became even more upset.

URV : میرا دِل اندر ہی اندر جل رہا تھا۔ سوچتے سوچتے آگ بھڑک اُٹھی۔ تب میں اپنی زبان سے کہنے لگا۔
KJV : My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: [then] spake I with my tongue,
YLT : Hot [is] my heart within me, In my meditating doth the fire burn, I have spoken with my tongue.

URV : اَے خُداوند! ایسا کہ کہ میں اپنے انجام سے واقف ہو جاؤں اور اِس سے بھی کہ میری عمر کی میعاد کیا ہے۔ میں جان لوں کہ کیسا فانی ہوں۔
KJV : LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it [is; that] I may know how frail I [am.]
YLT : `Cause me to know, O Jehovah, mine end, And the measure of my days -- what it [is],` I know how frail I [am].
RV : LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; let me know how frail I am.
RSV : "LORD, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is!

ERVEN : Lord, tell me, what will happen to me now? Tell me, how long will I live? Let me know how short my life really is.

URV : دیکھ! تُو نے میری عمر بالشت بھر کی رکھی ہے اور میری زندگی تیرے حضور بے حقیقت ہے یقیناً ہر انسان بہترین حالت میں بھی بالکل بے ثبات ہے(سلاہ)۔
KJV : Behold, thou hast made my days [as] an handbreadth; and mine age [is] as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state [is] altogether vanity. Selah.
YLT : Lo, handbreadths Thou hast made my days, And mine age [is] as nothing before Thee, Only, all vanity [is] every man set up. Selah.

ERVEN : You gave me only a short life. Compared to you, my whole life is nothing. The life of every human is like a cloud that quickly disappears. Selah

URV : درحقیقت انسان سایہ کی طرح چلتا پھرتا ہے۔ یقیناً وہ فضول گھبراتے ہیں۔ وہ ذخیرہ کرتا ہے اور یہ نہیں جانتا کہ اُسے کون لیگا۔
KJV : Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up [riches,] and knoweth not who shall gather them.
YLT : Only, in an image doth each walk habitually, Only, [in] vain, they are disquieted, He heapeth up and knoweth not who gathereth them.

ERVEN : Our life is like an image in a mirror. We rush through life collecting things, but we don't know who will get them after we die.

URV : اَے خُداوند! اب میں کس بات کے لئے ٹھہراہوں؟ میری اُمید تجھ ہی سے ہے۔
KJV : And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope [is] in thee.
YLT : And, now, what have I expected? O Lord, my hope -- it [is] of Thee.
RV : And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

URV : مجھ کو میری سب خطاؤں سے رہائی دے۔ احمقوں کو مجھ پر انگشت نمائی نہ کرنے دے۔
KJV : Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

URV : میں گونگا بنا۔ میں نے مُنہ نہ کھولا۔ کیونکہ تُو ہی نے یہ کیا ہے۔

URV : مجھ سے اپنی بلا دُور کردے۔ میں تو تیرے ہاتھ کی مار سے فنا ہوا جاتا ہوں۔
KJV : Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.
YLT : Turn aside from off me Thy stroke, From the striving of Thy hand I have been consumed.

URV : جب تُو انسان کو بدی پر ملامت کرکے تنبیہ کرتا ہے تو اُس کے حُسن کو پتنگے کی طرح فنا کردیتا ہے۔ یقیناً ہر انسان بے ثبات ہے (سلاہ)۔
KJV : When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man [is] vanity. Selah.
YLT : With reproofs against iniquity, Thou hast corrected man, And dost waste as a moth his desirableness, Only, vanity [is] every man. Selah.

ERVEN : You punish people for doing wrong to teach them the right way to live. As a moth destroys cloth, you destroy what people love. Yes, our lives are like a small cloud that quickly disappears. Selah

URV : اَے خُداوند! میری دُعا سُن اور میری فریادپر کان لگا۔ میری آنسوؤں کو دیکھ کر خاموش نہ رہ کیونکہ میں تیرے حضور پردیسی اور مُسافر ہوں۔ جیسے میرے سب باپ دادا تھے۔
KJV : Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I [am] a stranger with thee, [and] a sojourner, as all my fathers [were.]
YLT : Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, And [to] my cry give ear, Unto my tear be not silent, For a sojourner I [am] with Thee, A settler like all my fathers.

ERVEN : Lord, hear my prayer! Listen to the words I cry to you. Look at my tears. I am only a traveler passing through this life with you. Like all my ancestors, I will live here only a short time.

URV : آہ! مجھ سے نظر ہٹا لے تاکہ تازہ دم ہو جاؤں۔ اِس سے پہلے کہ رحلت کروں اور نابُود ہو جاؤں۔
