అనేకమంది ప్రజలు కలిసి జలవనరులన్నీ ఆపివేశారు. దేశం మధ్యగా ప్రవహించే కాలువకు కూడ అడ్డకట్టలు వేశారు. “అష్షూరు రాజు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చినప్పుడు అతనికి కావలసినంత నీరు ఇక్కడ దొరకదు” అని వారనుకున్నారు.
