BNV ‘তোমরা পৃথিবীর লবন, কিন্তু লবন যদি তার নিজের স্বাদ হারায় তবে কেমন করে তা আবার নোন্তা করা যাবে? তখন তা আর কোন কাজে লাগে না৷ তা কেবল বাইরে ফেলে দেওযা হয় আর লোকরা তা মাড়িয়ে যায়৷
KJV {SCJ}Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. {SCJ.}
YLT `Ye are the salt of the land, but if the salt may lose savour, in what shall it be salted? for nothing is it good henceforth, except to be cast without, and to be trodden down by men.

ERVEN "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its taste, it cannot be made salty again. Salt is useless if it loses its salty taste. It will be thrown out where people will just walk on it.
