அந்த நாளில் பாபிலோனின் படை எருசலேமிற்குள் நுழைந்தது. எருசலேமிலுள்ள வீரர்கள் வெளியே ஓடினார்கள். அவர்கள் இரவில் நகரைவிட்டு ஓடினார்கள். இரண்டு சுவர்களுக்கு இடையில் உள்ள வாசல் வழியாக அவர்கள் போனார்கள். அந்த வாசல் அரசனின் தோட்டத்திற்கு அருகில் இருந்தது. பாபிலோனின் படை நகரை முற்றுகையிட்டிருந்தபோதிலும் எருசலேம் வீரர்கள் மேலும் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருந்தனர். அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்தின் வழியாக ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.

ఆ రోజున బబులోను సైన్యం యెరూషలేములోనికి ప్రవేశించింది. యెరూషలేము సైన్యం పారిపోయింది. రాత్రి సమయంలో సైనికులు నగరం వదిలి పారిపోయారు. రెండు గోడల మధ్య ద్వారం గుండా వారు బయటకి పోయారు. ఆ ద్వారం రాజు యొక్క ఉద్యానవనం వద్ద వుంది. బబులోను సైన్యం నగరాన్ని చుట్టుముట్టి ఉన్నప్పటికీ, యెరూషలేము సైనికులు పారిపోగలిగారు. వారు ఎడారివైపు పారిపోయారు.

ಆಗ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ವಿಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು; ಯುದ್ಧಸ್ಥರೆಲ್ಲರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ, ಅರಸನ ತೋಟದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎರಡು ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರಟು, ಬೈಲು ಸೀಮೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋದರು. ಆದರೆ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಆ ದಿನ ಙಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗಿತ್ತು. ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದ ಙಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ನಗರದಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು. ಆ ಙಾಗಿಲು ರಾಜನ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನದ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಇತ್ತು. ಙಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮ್ ನಗರವನುಐ ಮುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನ ಸೈನಿಕರು, ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.

પછી નગરની દીવાલમાં એક બાકોરું પાડવામાં આવ્યું, અને રાતોરાત રાજા પોતાના આખા સૈન્ય સાથે રાજાના બગીચા પાસે આવેલા બે દીવાલો વચ્ચેના દરવાજેથી ભાગી ગયો, આમ બન્યું તે દરમ્યાન ખાલદીઓએ નગરને ઘેરી લીધું હતું તેમ છતાં તેઓ યર્દનની ખીણ તરફ આગળ વધ્યા.

सातव्या दिवशी, बाबेलचे सैन्य यरुशलेममध्ये घुसले. यरुशलेमचे सैनिक पळून गेले. त्यांनी रात्रीच्या वेळी नगर सोडले. दोन भिंतींच्या मधल्या दारातून ते पळून गेले. ते दार राजाच्या बागेजवळ होते. बाबेलच्या सैन्याने वेढा घातला असतानासुद्धा ते सैनिक वाळवंटाकडे पळाले.
