কর্ণীলিয় স্বর্গদূতের দিকে চেয়ে ভয় পেয়ে বললেন, ‘মহাশয়, আপনি কি চান?’সেই স্বর্গদূত তাঁকে বললেন, ‘কর্ণীলিয় তোমার প্রার্থনা ঈশ্বর শুনেছেন; গরীবদের তুমি য়ে সাহায্য কর, তা তিনি দেখেছেন৷ ঈশ্বর তোমায় স্মরণ করেছেন৷

And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
