ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಲು ಒಂದು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮವನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು. ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಇಳಿದುಬಂದಿತು.
