எனது எஜமானனாகிய அரசனே! நான் சொல்வதைக் கவனியும்! என் மீது உமக்கு கோபம் வரும்படி, கர்த்தர் செய்திருந்தால் அதற்கு தகுந்த காணிக்கையை அவர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வாராக, மனிதர்கள் செய்திருந்தால், அதற்கு கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குத் தண்டனை அளிக்கட்டும். கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த நாட்டைவிட்டுப் போகும்படி மனிதர்கள் செய்துவிட்டார்களே. ‘போய் அந்நியரோடு வாழு, அவர்களின் தெய்வங்களுக்கு சேவைசெய்’ என்று மனிதர்கள் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

ಈಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿ. ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಲಿ; ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು! ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮಾಡಿರುವುದಾದರೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ನೈವೇದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸೋಣ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಜನರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಕೇಡಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ. ನನಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀಡಿದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಿಡುವಂತೆ ಜನರು ಬಲವಂತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ‘ಹೋಗು, ಹೊರದೇಶೀಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನೆಲೆಸು. ಹೋಗು, ಇತರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸು’ ಎಂದು ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
