ದಾವೀದನ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯು ಬಂದಾಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಮೀಕಲಳು ಕಿಟಿಕಿಯಿಂದ ನೋಡಿದಳು. (ಇವಳು ಸೌಲನ ಮಗಳು.) ದಾವೀದನು ಕುಣಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಹಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಆಕೆ ಕಂಡಳು. ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕೆಗಿದ್ದ ಗೌರವವು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವನೆಂದು ಆಕೆಯು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡಳು.
