আমি শলোমনের কাছ থেকে রাজত্ব কেড়ে নেব কারণ শলোমন আমার উপাসনা বন্ধ করেছে| শলোমন সীদোনীয়দের মূর্ত্তি অষ্টোরত, মোয়াবীয়দের মূর্ত্তি কমোশ ও আম্মোনীযদের মিলকমের আরাধনা করছে| শলোমন ভালো ও সঠিক কাজ করা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছে| সে আর এখন আমার বিধি ও আদেশ মেনে চলে না| ওর পিতা দায়ূদ য়ে ভাবে জীবনযাপন করেছিল শলোমন আর সে ভাবে জীবনযাপন করে না|

Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do [that which is] right in mine eyes, and [to keep] my statutes and my judgments, as [did] David his father.

I will take the kingdom from Solomon because he stopped following me and began worshiping Ashtoreth, the goddess of Sidon, Chemosh, the god of Moab, and Milcom, the god of the Ammonites. Solomon stopped following my ways and doing what I say is right. He does not obey my laws and commands as his father David did.
