BNV : গালীলে যাবার সময় তাঁকে শমরিযার মধ্য দিয়ে য়েতে হল৷

BNV : এখানেই যাকোবের কুযাটি ছিল, যীশু সেই কুযার ধারে এসে বসলেন কারণ তিনি হাঁটতে হাঁটতে ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়েছিলেন, তখন বেলা প্রায় দুপুর৷

BNV : একজন শমরীযা স্ত্রীলোক সেখানে জল তুলতে এল৷ যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘আমায় একটু জল খেতে দাও তো৷’
KJV : There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, {SCJ}Give me to drink. {SCJ.}

BNV : সেই শমরীয় স্ত্রীলোকটি তাঁকে বলল, ‘একি আপনি একজন ইহুদী হয়ে আমার কাছ থেকে খাবার জন্য জল চাইছেন! আমি একজন শমরীয় স্ত্রীলোক!’ ইহুদীরা শমরীয়দের সঙ্গে কোনরকম মেলামেশা করত না৷
KJV : Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
YLT : the Samaritan woman therefore saith to him, `How dost thou, being a Jew, ask drink from me, being a Samaritan woman?` for Jews have no dealing with Samaritans.

BNV : এর উত্তরে যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘তুমি যদি জানতে য়ে ঈশ্বরের দান কি আর কে তোমার কাছ থেকে খাবার জন্য জল চাইছেন৷ তাহলে তুমিই আমার কাছে জল চাইতে আর আমি তোমাকে জীবন্ত জল দিতাম৷’
KJV : Jesus answered and said unto her, {SCJ}If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. {SCJ.}

BNV : স্ত্রীলোকটি তাঁকে বলল, ‘মহাশয়, আপনি কোথা থেকে সেই জীবন্ত জল পাবেন? এই কুযাটি যথেষ্ট গভীর৷ জল তোলার কোন পাত্রও আপনার কাছে নেই৷
KJV : The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
YLT : The woman saith to him, `Sir, thou hast not even a vessel to draw with, and the well is deep; whence, then, hast thou the living water?

BNV : আপনি কি আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষ যাকোবের চেয়ে মহান? তিনি আমাদের এই কুযাটি দিয়ে গেছেন৷ তিনি নিজেই এই কুযার জল খেতেন এবং তাঁর সন্তানেরা ও তাঁর পশুপালও এর থেকেই জল পান করত৷’
KJV : Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

BNV : যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘য়ে কেউ এই জল পান করবে তার আবার তেষ্টা পাবে৷

BNV : কিন্তু আমি য়ে জল দিই তা য়ে পান করবে তার আর কখনও পিপাসা পাবে না৷ সেই জল তার অন্তরে এক প্রস্রবনে পরিণত হয়ে বইতে থাকবে, যা সেই ব্যক্তিকে অনন্ত জীবন দেবে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. {SCJ.}
YLT : but whoever may drink of the water that I will give him, may not thirst -- to the age; and the water that I will give him shall become in him a well of water, springing up to life age-during.`

BNV : স্ত্রীলোকটি তাঁকে বলল, ‘মশায়, আমাকে সেই জল দিন, য়েন আমার আর কখনও পিপাসা না পায় আর জল তুলতে আমায় এখানে আসতে না হয়৷’
KJV : The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
YLT : The woman saith unto him, `Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come hither to draw.`

BNV : তোমার পাঁচ জন স্বামী হয়ে গেছে; আর এখন য়ে লোকের সঙ্গে তুমি আছ সে তোমার স্বামী নয়, তাই তুমি যা বললে তা সত্যি৷’
KJV : {SCJ}For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. {SCJ.}

BNV : আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষেরা এই পর্বতের ওপর উপাসনা করতেন৷ কিন্তু আপনারা ইহুদীরা বলেন য়ে জেরুশালেমই সেই জায়গা য়েখানে লোকেদের উপাসনা করতে হবে৷’
KJV : Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
YLT : our fathers in this mountain did worship, and ye -- ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where it behoveth to worship.`

BNV : যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘হে নারী, আমার কথায় বিশ্বাস কর! সময় আসছে যখন তোমরা পিতা ঈশ্বরের উপাসনা এই পাহাড়ে করবে না, জেরুশালেমেও নয়৷
KJV : Jesus saith unto her, {SCJ}Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. {SCJ.}
YLT : Jesus saith to her, `Woman, believe me, that there doth come an hour, when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall ye worship the Father;

BNV : তোমরা শমরীয়রা কি উপাসনা কর তোমরা তা জানো না৷ আমরা ইহুদীরা কি উপাসনা করি আমরা তা জানি, কারণ ইহুদীদের মধ্য থেকেই পরিত্রাণ আসছে৷
KJV : {SCJ}Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. {SCJ.}
YLT : ye worship what ye have not known; we worship what we have known, because the salvation is of the Jews;

BNV : সময় আসছে, বলতে কি তা এসে গেছে, যখন প্রকৃত উপাসনাকারীরা আত্মায় ও সত্যে পিতা ঈশ্বরের উপাসনা করবে৷ পিতা ঈশ্বরও এইরকম উপাসনাকারীদেরই চান৷
KJV : {SCJ}But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. {SCJ.}
YLT : but, there cometh an hour, and it now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also doth seek such to worship him;

BNV : ঈশ্বর আত্মা, যাঁরা তাঁর উপাসনা করে তাদেরকে আত্মায় ও সত্যে উপাসনা করতে হবে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. {SCJ.}

BNV : তখন সেই স্ত্রীলোকটি তাঁকে বলল, ‘আমি জানি, মশীহ আসছেন৷ মশীহকে তারা খ্রীষ্ট বলে৷ যখন তিনি আসবেন, তখন আমাদের সব কিছু জানাবেন৷’
KJV : The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
YLT : The woman saith to him, `I have known that Messiah doth come, who is called Christ, when that one may come, he will tell us all things;`
RV : The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh (which is called Christ): when he is come, he will declare unto us all things.

ESV : The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live." And he himself believed, and all his household.
ERVEN : The father knew that one o'clock was the same time that Jesus had said, "Your son will live." So the man and everyone in his house believed in Jesus.
