BNV : তখন তেমনের ইলীফস ইয়োবকে উত্তর দিলেন:

BNV : “ইয়োব, যদি তুমি সত্যই জ্ঞানী হতে তুমি তোমার অর্থহীন ব্যক্তিগত মতামত দিয়ে উত্তর দিতে না! এক জন জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তি পূর্বের গরম বাতাসে নিজেকে পূর্ণ করে না|
KJV : Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
YLT : Doth a wise man answer [with] vain knowledge? And fill [with] an east wind his belly?
RV : Should a wise man make answer with vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
RSV : "Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill himself with the east wind?
ASV : Should a wise man make answer with vain knowledge, And fill himself with the east wind?
ESV : "Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
ERVEN : "If you were really wise, you would not answer with your worthless personal opinions! A wise man would not be so full of hot air.

BNV : তুমি কি মনে কর একজন জ্ঞানী মানুষ অর্থহীন কথা দিয়ে তর্ক করবে এবং এমন কথা বলবে যাতে কোন লাভ নেই?
KJV : Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
YLT : To reason with a word not useful? And speeches -- no profit in them?
RV : Should he reason with unprofitable talk, or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
RSV : Should he argue in unprofitable talk, or in words with which he can do no good?
ASV : Should he reason with unprofitable talk, Or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
ESV : Should he argue in unprofitable talk, or in words with which he can do no good?
ERVEN : Do you think a wise man would use empty words and meaningless speeches to win his arguments?

BNV : ইয়োব, যদি তোমার নিজেরই পথ থাকতো তাহলে কেউ আর ঈশ্বরকে শ্রদ্ধা করে তাঁর কাছে প্রার্থনা করতো না|
KJV : Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.
YLT : Yea, thou dost make reverence void, And dost diminish meditation before God.
RV : Yea, thou doest away with fear, and restrainest devotion before God.
RSV : But you are doing away with the fear of God, and hindering meditation before God.
ASV : Yea, thou doest away with fear, And hinderest devotion before God.
ESV : But you are doing away with the fear of God and hindering meditation before God.
ERVEN : If you had your way, no one would respect God and pray to him.

BNV : য়ে সব বিষয় তুমি বলেছো তাতে তোমার পাপ স্পষ্টই বোঝা যাচ্ছে| ইয়োব, বাক্চাতুরীর সাহায্যে তুমি তোমার পাপকে ঢাকতে চাইছো|
KJV : For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
YLT : For thy mouth teacheth thine iniquity, And thou chooseth the tongue of the subtile.
RV : For thine iniquity teacheth thy mouth, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
RSV : For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
ASV : For thine iniquity teacheth thy mouth, And thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
ESV : For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.
ERVEN : What you say clearly shows your sin. Job, you are trying to hide your sin by using clever words.

BNV : তুমি য়ে ভুল করেছো, এ কথা আমার প্রমাণ করার দরকার নেই| কেন? নিজের মুখে তুমি যা যা বললে তাই প্রমাণ করে য়ে তুমি ভুল করেছো| তোমার নিজের ওষ্ঠ দ্বয তোমার বিরুদ্ধে বলছে|
KJV : Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
YLT : Thy mouth declareth thee wicked, and not I, And thy lips testify against thee.
RV : Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I; yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
RSV : Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; your own lips testify against you.
ASV : Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I; Yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
ESV : Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; your own lips testify against you.
ERVEN : I don't need to prove to you that you are wrong. The words from your own mouth show that you are wrong. Your own lips speak against you.

BNV : “ইয়োব, তুমি কি মনে কর য়ে তুমিই প্রথম জন্মেছো? তুমি কি এই পাহাড়গুলির জন্মের আগে জন্মেছ?
KJV : [Art] thou the first man [that] was born? or wast thou made before the hills?
YLT : The first man art thou born? And before the heights wast thou formed?
RV : Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou brought forth before the hills?
RSV : "Are you the first man that was born? Or were you brought forth before the hills?
ASV : Art thou the first man that was born? Or wast thou brought forth before the hills?
ESV : "Are you the first man who was born? Or were you brought forth before the hills?
ERVEN : "Do you think you were the first person ever to be born? Were you born before the hills?

BNV : তুমি কি ঈশ্বরের গোপন পরিকল্পনা শুনেছিলে? তুমি কি নিজেকেই এক মাত্র জ্ঞানী ভাবো?
KJV : Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
YLT : Of the secret counsel of God dost thou hear? And withdrawest thou unto thee wisdom?
RV : Hast thou heard the secret counsel of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
RSV : Have you listened in the council of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself?
ASV : Hast thou heard the secret counsel of God? And dost thou limit wisdom to thyself?
ESV : Have you listened in the council of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself?
ERVEN : Did you listen to God's secret plans? Do you think you are the only wise person?

BNV : ইয়োব, তুমি যা জান আমরা ঠিক ততটাই জানি! তুমি যতটা বোঝ আমরাও ঠিক ততটাই বুঝি|
KJV : What knowest thou, that we know not? [what] understandest thou, which [is] not in us?
YLT : What hast thou known, and we know not? Understandest thou -- and it is not with us?
RV : What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?
RSV : What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that is not clear to us?
ASV : What knowest thou, that we know not? What understandest thou, which is not in us?
ESV : What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that is not clear to us?
ERVEN : We know as much as you do! We understand as well as you.

BNV : যাদের মাথায় পাকা চুল তারা এবং বয়স্ক লোকে আমাদের সঙ্গে একমত হয়| হ্যাঁ, এমন কি তোমার পিতার চেয়েও যারা বয়স্ক তারাও আমাদেরই পক্ষে|
KJV : With us [are] both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.
YLT : Both the gray-headed And the very aged [are] among us -- Greater than thy father [in] days.
RV : With us are both the grayheaded and the very aged men, much elder than thy father.
RSV : Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, older than your father.
ASV : With us are both the gray-headed and the very aged men, Much elder than thy father.
ESV : Both the gray-haired and the aged are among us, older than your father.
ERVEN : The old, gray-haired men agree with us. People older than your father are on our side.

BNV : ঈশ্বর তোমাকে স্বস্তি দিতে চেষ্টা করেন এবং আমরা খুব শান্ত ভাবে তোমার সঙ্গে কথা বলি| কিন্তু তোমার পক্ষে তা য়থেষ্ট নয়|
KJV : [Are] the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?
YLT : Too few for thee are the comforts of God? And a gentle word [is] with thee,
RV : Are the consolations of God too small for thee, and the word {cf15i that dealeth} gently with thee?
RSV : Are the consolations of God too small for you, or the word that deals gently with you?
ASV : Are the consolations of God too small for thee, Even the word that is gentle toward thee?
ESV : Are the comforts of God too small for you, or the word that deals gently with you?
ERVEN : God tries to comfort you, but that is not enough for you. We have spoken his message to you in a gentle way.

BNV : ইয়োব, তুমি কেন এত আবেগপ্রবণ? কেন তোমার চোখ লাল হয়ে যায়?
KJV : Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,
YLT : What -- doth thine heart take thee away? And what -- are thine eyes high?
RV : Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and why do thine eyes wink?
RSV : Why does your heart carry you away, and why do your eyes flash,
ASV : Why doth thy heart carry thee away? And why do thine eyes flash,
ESV : Why does your heart carry you away, and why do your eyes flash,
ERVEN : Why will you not understand? Why can you not see the truth?

BNV : যখন তুমি এই সব ক্রোধর কথা বল তখন তুমি ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে চলে যাও|
KJV : That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest [such] words go out of thy mouth?
YLT : For thou turnest against God thy spirit? And hast brought out words from thy mouth:
RV : That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest {cf15i such} words go out of thy mouth.
RSV : that you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
ASV : That against God thou turnest thy spirit, And lettest words go out of thy mouth?
ESV : that you turn your spirit against God and bring such words out of your mouth?
ERVEN : You are expressing your anger against God when you say these things.

BNV : “এক জন মানুষ প্রকৃতই শুদ্ধ হতে পারে না| এক জন মানুষ কখনও ঈশ্বরের চেয়ে বেশী সঠিক হতে পারে না!
KJV : What [is] man, that he should be clean? and [he which is] born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
YLT : What [is] man that he is pure, And that he is righteous, one born of woman?
RV : What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
RSV : What is man, that he can be clean? Or he that is born of a woman, that he can be righteous?
ASV : What is man, that he should be clean? And he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
ESV : What is man, that he can be pure? Or he who is born of a woman, that he can be righteous?
ERVEN : "People cannot really be pure. They cannot be more right than God!

BNV : ঈশ্বর তাঁর বার্তাবাহকদেরওবিশ্বাস করেন না| এমনকি ঈশ্বরের তুলনায় স্বর্গও শুদ্ধ নয়|
KJV : Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
YLT : Lo, in His holy ones He putteth no credence, And the heavens have not been pure in His eyes.
RV : Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
RSV : Behold, God puts no trust in his holy ones, and the heavens are not clean in his sight;

ERVEN : God does not even trust his angels. He does not even think the sky is pure.

BNV : মানুষও অপদার্থ| মানুষ নোংরা এবং নষ্ট| সে জলের মতই পাপ গলাধঃকরণ করে|
KJV : How much more abominable and filthy [is] man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
YLT : Also -- surely abominable and filthy Is man drinking as water perverseness.
RV : How much less one that is abominable and corrupt, a man that drinketh iniquity like water!
RSV : how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!
ASV : How much less one that is abominable and corrupt, A man that drinketh iniquity like water!
ESV : how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks injustice like water!
ERVEN : People are even worse. They are disgusting and dirty. They drink up evil like water.

BNV : “আমার কথা শোন ইয়োব, আমি তোমাকে তা বুঝিযে বলবো| আমি যা জানি, তোমায় তা বলবো|
KJV : I will shew thee, hear me; and that [which] I have seen I will declare;
YLT : I shew thee -- hearken to me -- And this I have seen and declare:
RV : I will shew thee, hear thou me; and that which I have seen I will declare:
RSV : "I will show you, hear me; and what I have seen I will declare
ASV : I will show thee, hear thou me; And that which I have seen I will declare:
ESV : "I will show you; hear me, and what I have seen I will declare
ERVEN : "Listen to me, and I will explain it to you. Let me tell you what I have seen.

BNV : জ্ঞানী লোকরা আমাকে যা বলেছেন সেই সব কথা আমি তোমায় বলবো| জ্ঞানী লোকের পূর্বপুরুষরা এই কথাগুলো তাদের বলে গিয়েছিলেন| তাঁরা আমার কাছে কোন গোপন কথা লুকিয়ে রাখেননি|
KJV : Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid [it: ]
YLT : Which the wise declare -- And have not hid -- from their fathers.
RV : (Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it;
RSV : (what wise men have told, and their fathers have not hidden,
ASV : (Which wise men have told From their fathers, and have not hid it;
ESV : (what wise men have told, without hiding it from their fathers,
ERVEN : I will tell you what wise men would say, things they heard from their fathers and then freely passed on. They didn't hide any secrets from me.

BNV : তাঁরা একাই তাদের দেশে বাস করেছেন| সেখান থেকে কোন বিদেশীই যায় নি| তাই কোন লোকই তাদের কোন অদ্ভ্ুত আদর্শের কথা বলে নি|
KJV : Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
YLT : To them alone was the land given, And a stranger passed not over into their midst:
RV : Unto whom alone the land was given, and no stranger passed among them:)
RSV : to whom alone the land was given, and no stranger passed among them).

ERVEN : These are important people in our country! Everyone knows who they are.

BNV : এই সব জ্ঞানী লোক বলেছেন, এক জন দুষ্ট লোক সারা জীবন কষ্ট পায়| এক জন নিষ্ঠুর লোক জীবনের সারা বছর কষ্ট পায়|
KJV : The wicked man travaileth with pain all [his] days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
YLT : `All days of the wicked he is paining himself, And few years have been laid up for the terrible one.
RV : The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.
RSV : The wicked man writhes in pain all his days, through all the years that are laid up for the ruthless.
ASV : The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, Even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.
ESV : The wicked man writhes in pain all his days, through all the years that are laid up for the ruthless.
ERVEN : And they said that an evil man suffers all his life. A cruel man suffers all his numbered years.

BNV : প্রত্যেকটি শব্দ তাকে ভীত করে| সে যখন মনে করে য়ে সে নিরাপদে আছে, তখন শএু তাকে আক্রমণ করবে|
KJV : A dreadful sound [is] in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
YLT : A fearful voice [is] in his ears, In peace doth a destroyer come to him.
RV : A sound of terrors is in his ears; in prosperity the spoiler shall come upon him:
RSV : Terrifying sounds are in his ears; in prosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
ASV : A sound of terrors is in his ears; In prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
ESV : Dreadful sounds are in his ears; in prosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
ERVEN : Every noise scares him. His enemy will attack him when he thinks he is safe.

BNV : এক জন দুষ্ট লোক প্রচণ্ড হতাশাগ্রস্ত এবং অন্ধকারকে এড়াবার তার কোন পথই নেই| কোন একটা জায়গায় একটা তরবারী আছে যা তাকে হত্যা করার জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে|
KJV : He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
YLT : He believeth not to return from darkness, And watched [is] he for the sword.
RV : He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword:
RSV : He does not believe that he will return out of darkness, and he is destined for the sword.
ASV : He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, And he is waited for of the sword.
ESV : He does not believe that he will return out of darkness, and he is marked for the sword.
ERVEN : An evil man has no hope of escaping the darkness. There is a sword somewhere waiting to kill him.

BNV : সে এখানে ওখানে খাবারের খোঁজে ঘুরে বেড়ায়| সে জানে য়ে কঠিন সময় আসন্ন|
KJV : He wandereth abroad for bread, [saying,] Where [is it?] he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
YLT : He is wandering for bread -- `Where [is] it?` He hath known that ready at his hand Is a day of darkness.
RV : He wandereth abroad for bread, {cf15i saying}, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand:
RSV : He wanders abroad for bread, saying, `Where is it?' He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand;

ERVEN : He wanders from place to place, looking for food. But he knows a dark day is coming, which he brought on himself.

BNV : দুঃখ এবং যন্ত্রণা তাকে ভীত করে| এগুলো তাকে রাজার মতো আক্রমণ করে য়েন তাকে ধ্বংসের জন্য প্রস্তুত|
KJV : Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
YLT : Terrify him do adversity and distress, They prevail over him As a king ready for a boaster.
RV : Distress and anguish make him afraid; they prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle:
RSV : distress and anguish terrify him; they prevail against him, like a king prepared for battle.

ERVEN : He lives in fear, with worry and suffering threatening him like a king ready to attack.

BNV : কেন? কারণ দুষ্ট লোকরা ঈশ্বরের বাধ্য হতে চায় না- তারা ঈশ্বরকে ঘুষি দেখায়, এবং সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরকে পরাজিত করতে চায়|
KJV : For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.
YLT : For he stretched out against God his hand, And against the Mighty he maketh himself mighty.
RV : Because he hath stretched out his hand against God, and behaveth himself proudly against the Almighty;
RSV : Because he has stretched forth his hand against God, and bids defiance to the Almighty,
ASV : Because he hath stretched out his hand against God, And behaveth himself proudly against the Almighty;
ESV : Because he has stretched out his hand against God and defies the Almighty,
ERVEN : That is because that evil man shook his fist at God, refusing to obey. He dared to attack God All-Powerful,

BNV : দুষ্ট লোকরা ভীষণ একগুঁযে| তারা একটা মোটা শক্ত ঢাল নিয়ে ঈশ্বরকে আক্রমণ করে|
KJV : He runneth upon him, [even] on [his] neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
YLT : He runneth unto Him with a neck, With thick bosses of his shields.
RV : He runneth upon him with a {cf15i stiff} neck, with the thick bosses of his bucklers:
RSV : running stubbornly against him with a thick-bossed shield;
ASV : He runneth upon him with a stiff neck, With the thick bosses of his bucklers;
ESV : running stubbornly against him with a thickly bossed shield;
ERVEN : like a soldier with a thick, strong shield who runs at his enemy to strike him in the neck.

BNV : “এক জন লোক ধনী এবং মোটা হতে পারে,
KJV : Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on [his] flanks.
YLT : For he hath covered his face with his fat, And maketh vigour over [his] confidence.
RV : Because he hath covered his face with his fatness, and made collops of fat on his flanks;
RSV : because he has covered his face with his fat, and gathered fat upon his loins,
ASV : Because he hath covered his face with his fatness, And gathered fat upon his loins;
ESV : because he has covered his face with his fat and gathered fat upon his waist
ERVEN : He might be rich and fat,

BNV : কিন্তু সে ধ্বংস হয়ে যাওয়া শহরে, যেখানে কেউ থাকে না অথবা য়ে সমস্ত বাড়ীগুলো ধ্বংস হবার জন্য ঠিক হয়েছে সেগুলোতে বাস করবে|
KJV : And he dwelleth in desolate cities, [and] in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.
YLT : And he inhabiteth cities cut off, houses not dwelt in, That have been ready to become heaps.
RV : And he hath dwelt in desolate cities, in houses which no man inhabited, which were ready to become heaps.
RSV : and has lived in desolate cities, in houses which no man should inhabit, which were destined to become heaps of ruins;
ASV : And he hath dwelt in desolate cities, In houses which no man inhabited, Which were ready to become heaps;
ESV : and has lived in desolate cities, in houses that none should inhabit, which were ready to become heaps of ruins;
ERVEN : but his town will be ruined; his home will be destroyed; his house will be empty.

BNV : দুষ্ট লোকরা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে ধনী থাকবে না| তার সম্পদ স্থায়ী হবে না| তার ফসল বাড়বে না|
KJV : He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.
YLT : He is not rich, nor doth his wealth rise, Nor doth he stretch out on earth their continuance.
RV : He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall their produce bend to the earth.
RSV : he will not be rich, and his wealth will not endure, nor will he strike root in the earth;
ASV : He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, Neither shall their possessions be extended on the earth.
ESV : he will not be rich, and his wealth will not endure, nor will his possessions spread over the earth;
ERVEN : He will not be rich for long. His wealth will not last. His crops will not grow large.

BNV : দুষ্ট লোক অন্ধকারকে এড়াতে পারবে না| সে সেই গাছের মতো হবে যার পাতা রোগে শুকিয়ে যায় এবং বাতাস তাদের সবাইকে উড়িযে নিয়ে যায়|
KJV : He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
YLT : He turneth not aside from darkness, His tender branch doth a flame dry up, And he turneth aside at the breath of His mouth!
RV : He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
RSV : he will not escape from darkness; the flame will dry up his shoots, and his blossom will be swept away by the wind.

ERVEN : He will not escape the darkness. He will be like a tree whose leaves die from disease and are blown away by the wind.

BNV : দুষ্ট লোকরা অর্থহীন বিষয়ের ওপর কখনো নির্ভর করে না যা তাদের বিপথে নিয়ে যাবে| কেন? কারণ তারা কিছুই পাবে না|
KJV : Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.
YLT : Let him not put credence in vanity, He hath been deceived, For vanity is his recompence.
RV : Let him not trust in vanity, deceiving himself: for vanity shall be his recompence.
RSV : Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself; for emptiness will be his recompense.
ASV : Let him not trust in vanity, deceiving himself; For vanity shall be his recompense.
ESV : Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself, for emptiness will be his payment.
ERVEN : That evil man should not fool himself by trusting in worthless things, because he will keep nothing.

BNV : দুষ্ট লোকে তাদের পূর্ণ ব্যাপ্তির জীবনযাপন করতে পারবে না| তারা হবে একটি গাছের মত যার ডালপালা শুকিয়ে ঝরে গেছে এবং মরে গেছে|

BNV : দুষ্ট লোকে সেই দ্রাক্ষা গাছের মতো হবে যার দ্রাক্ষা ফল পাবার আগেই শুকিয়ে পড়ে যায়| ঐ লোকটি সেই জলপাই গাছের মতো হবে যার মুকুল ঝরে যায়|
KJV : He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.

BNV : কেন? কারণ এক দল ঈশ্বরবিহীন মানুষ ভাল ফল ফলাতে পারে না| যারা ঘুস নেয়, আগুন তাদের বাড়ী ধ্বংস করে দেয়|
KJV : For the congregation of hypocrites [shall be] desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
YLT : For the company of the profane [is] gloomy, And fire hath consumed tents of bribery.
