BNV : তারপর ঈশ্বর মোশিকে বললেন, “তুমি অন্য এই সব নিয়মের কথাও লোকদের বলবে|
KJV : Now these [are] the judgments which thou shalt set before them.
YLT : `And these [are] the judgments which thou dost set before them:

ERVEN : Then God said to Moses, "These are the other laws that you will give to the people:

BNV : “তুমি যদি ইব্রীয় দাস ক্রয় করো তবে সে ছয় বছর দাসত্ব করার পর বিনামূল্যে মুক্তি পাবে|
KJV : If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
YLT : `When thou buyest a Hebrew servant -- six years he doth serve, and in the seventh he goeth out as a freeman for nought;
RV : If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
RSV : When you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing.
ASV : If thou buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

ERVEN : "If you buy a Hebrew slave, then that slave will serve for only six years. After six years, he will be free, and he will have to pay nothing.

BNV : যদি তোমার দাস থাকাকালীন সে বিবাহিত না হয় তাহলে মুক্তির সমযেও সে একাই মুক্তি পাবে| কিন্তু যদি সে বিবাহিত হয় তাহলে সে সস্ত্রীক মুক্তি পাবে|
KJV : If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
YLT : if by himself he cometh in, by himself he goeth out; if he [is] owner of a wife, then his wife hath gone out with him;
RV : If he come in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he be married, then his wife shall go out with him.
RSV : If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.
ASV : If he come in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he be married, then his wife shall go out with him.
ESV : If he comes in single, he shall go out single; if he comes in married, then his wife shall go out with him.
ERVEN : If he is not married when he becomes your slave, when he becomes free, he will leave without a wife. But if the man is married when he becomes your slave, then he will keep his wife at the time he is made free.

BNV : যদি দাসটি বিবাহিত না হয় তাহলে তার মনিব তাকে বিয়ে দিতে পারে| সে যদি পুত্র অথবা কন্যা ধারণ করে তাহলে সে এবং তার ছেলেমেয়েরা মনিবের অধিকারভুক্ত হবে এবং সে নিজে ঐ মনিবের কাছে থাকবে এবং দাসের নিজের কর্মকাল শেষ হবার পর সে একা মুক্তি পাবে|
KJV : If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.
YLT : if his lord give to him a wife, and she hath borne to him sons or daughters -- the wife and her children are her lord`s, and he goeth out by himself.
RV : If his master give him a wife, and she bear him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master-s, and he shall go out by himself.
RSV : If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's and he shall go out alone.
ASV : If his master give him a wife and she bear him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her masters, and he shall go out by himself.

ERVEN : If the slave is not married, the master can give him a wife. If that wife gives birth to sons or daughters, she and her children will belong to the master. After the slave is finished with his years of service, he will be made free.

BNV : “কিন্তু যদি দাসটি বলে, ‘আমি আমার মনিবকে, আমার পত্নীকে এবং ছেলে-মেয়েদের ভালবাসি, তাই আমি মুক্ত হতে চাই না,’
KJV : And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
YLT : `And if the servant really say: I have loved my lord, my wife, and my sons -- I do not go out free;
RV : But if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
RSV : But if the slave plainly says, `I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,'
ASV : But if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
ESV : But if the slave plainly says, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,'
ERVEN : "But if the slave decides that he wants to stay with the master, he must say, 'I love my master. I love my wife and my children. I will not become free—I will stay.'

BNV : যদি এরকম হয় তাহলে তার মনিব দাসটিকে ঈশ্বরের কাছে নিয়ে আসবে| তারপর তার মনিব তাকে একটি দরজা বা দরজার কাঠের কাঠামোর কাছে নিয়ে যাবে| তারপর ছুঁচালো একটি যন্ত্র দিয়ে মনিব তার দাসের কানে একটি ফুটো করবে| তাহলে সেই দাস সারাজীবন তার মনিবের সেবা করবে|
KJV : Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
YLT : then hath his lord brought him nigh unto God, and hath brought him nigh unto the door, or unto the side-post, and his lord hath bored his ear with an awl, and he hath served him -- to the age.
RV : then his master shall bring him unto God, and shall bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.
RSV : then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for life.
ASV : then his master shall bring him unto God, and shall bring him to the door, or unto the door-post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever.
ESV : then his master shall bring him to God, and he shall bring him to the door or the doorpost. And his master shall bore his ear through with an awl, and he shall be his slave forever.
ERVEN : If this happens, the master will bring the slave before God. The master will take the slave to a door or the wooden frame around the door and pierce the slave's ear using a sharp tool to show that the slave will serve that master for all his life.

BNV : “কোন ব্যক্তি যদি তার কন্যাকে দাস হিসেবে বিক্রি করতে চায় তাহলে তার মুক্তি পাওয়ার নিয়ম পুরুষ দাসদের নিয়মের থেকে আলাদা হবে|
KJV : And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.
YLT : `And when a man selleth his daughter for a handmaid, she doth not go out according to the going out of the men-servants;
RV : And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.
RSV : "When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.
ASV : And if a man sell his daughter to be a maid-servant, she shall not go out as the men-servants do.
ESV : "When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do.
ERVEN : "A man might decide to sell his daughter as a slave. If this happens, the rules for making her free are not the same as the rules for making the men slaves free.

BNV : যদি সেই মহিলার মনিব তার প্রতি অসন্তুষ্ট হয় তাহলে সে তার মহিলা দাসটিকে তার পিতার কাছে ফেরত্‌ পাঠাতে পারে| যদি মনিবটি তাকে বিয়ের প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয়, তাহলে অন্য লোকের কাছে তাকে বিক্রি করতে পারবে না কারণ সেটা হবে অন্যায|
KJV : If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
YLT : if evil in the eyes of her lord, so that he hath not betrothed her, then he hath let her be ransomed; to a strange people he hath not power to sell her, in his dealing treacherously with her.
RV : If she please not her master, who hath espoused her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange people he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
RSV : If she does not please her master, who has designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed; he shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has dealt faithlessly with her.
ASV : If she please not her master, who hath espoused her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a foreign people he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
ESV : If she does not please her master, who has designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He shall have no right to sell her to a foreign people, since he has broken faith with her.
ERVEN : If the master who chose her for himself is not pleased with her, then he can sell the woman back to her father. If the master broke his promise to marry her, he loses the right to sell her to other people.

BNV : যদি তার মনিব মহিলা দাসটিকে তার পুত্রের সঙ্গে বিয়ে দেবে বলে প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় তবে তাকে দাসের মতো না রেখে মেয়ের মতো রাখতে হবে|
KJV : And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
YLT : `And if to his son he betroth her, according to the right of daughters he doth to her.
RV : And if he espouse her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
RSV : If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter.
ASV : And if he espouse her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
ESV : If he designates her for his son, he shall deal with her as with a daughter.
ERVEN : If the master promised to let the slave woman marry his son, he must treat her like a daughter, not like a slave.

BNV : “যদি মনিব অন্য কোনও স্ত্রীলোককে বিয়ে করে তাহলে সে তার প্রথম স্ত্রীকে কম খাবার বা কম জামাকাপড় দিতে পারবে না| সে তার স্ত্রীর প্রতি বিবাহের অধিকার হিসেবে সব কর্তব্য করবে|
KJV : If he take him another [wife;] her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
YLT : `If another [woman] he take for him, her food, her covering, and her habitation, he doth not withdraw;
RV : If he take him another {cf15i wife}; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
RSV : If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights.
ASV : If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
ESV : If he takes another wife to himself, he shall not diminish her food, her clothing, or her marital rights.
ERVEN : "If the master marries another woman, he must not give less food or clothing to the first wife. And he must continue to give her what she has a right to have in marriage.

BNV : মনিব যদি এই তিনটি জিনিস না করে তাহলে তার স্ত্রী বিনামূল্যে তার কাছে থেকে মুক্তি পাবে|
KJV : And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.
YLT : and if these three he do not to her, then she hath gone out for nought, without money.
RV : And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out for nothing, without money.
RSV : And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.
ASV : And if he do not these three things unto her, then shall she go out for nothing, without money.
ESV : And if he does not do these three things for her, she shall go out for nothing, without payment of money.
ERVEN : The man must do these three things for her. If he does not, the woman is made free, and it will cost her nothing. She owes no money to the man.

BNV : “যদি কোনও ব্যক্তি কাউকে আঘাত করে হত্যা করে তাহলে সেই ব্যক্তিকেও হত্যা করা হবে|
KJV : He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
YLT : `He who smiteth a man so that he hath died, is certainly put to death;
RV : He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall surely be put to death.
RSV : "Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.
ASV : He that smiteth a man, so that he dieth, shall surely be put to death.
ESV : "Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.
ERVEN : "Whoever hits and kills someone must be killed too.

BNV : কিন্তু যদি একটি দুর্ঘটনায় কোন ব্যক্তি মারা যায তাহলে সেটা ঈশ্বরের অভিপ্রায় বলে ধরে নেওয়া হবে| আমি কতগুলি বিশেষ জায়গা বেছে দেব য়েগুলি লোকরা নিরাপদ আশ্রয় হিসেবে ব্যবহার করবে|
KJV : And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver [him] into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
YLT : as to him who hath not laid wait, and God hath brought to his hand, I have even set for thee a place whither he doth flee.
RV : And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver {cf15i him} into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
RSV : But if he did not lie in wait for him, but God let him fall into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place to which he may flee.

ERVEN : But if an accident happens, and a person kills someone without planning it, then God allowed that thing to happen. I will choose some special places where people can run to for safety. So that person can run to one of those places.

BNV : কিন্তু কোনও ব্যক্তি যদি ক্রোধ বা ঘৃণা থেকে কাউকে হত্যা করে তবে সে শাস্তি পাবে| তাকে আমার বেদী থেকে সরিয়ে নিয়ে গিয়ে হত্যা করা হবে|
KJV : But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
YLT : `And when a man doth presume against his neighbour to slay him with subtilty, from Mine altar thou dost take him to die.
RV : And if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
RSV : But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him treacherously, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.
ASV : And if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbor, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
ESV : But if a man willfully attacks another to kill him by cunning, you shall take him from my altar, that he may die.
ERVEN : But whoever plans to kill someone out of anger or hatred must be punished. Take them away from my altar and kill them.

BNV : “য়ে ব্যক্তি পিতা বা মাতাকে আঘাত করবে তাকে হত্যা করা হবে|
KJV : And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
YLT : `And he who smiteth his father or his mother is certainly put to death.
RV : And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
RSV : "Whoever strikes his father or his mother shall be put to death.
ASV : And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.

ERVEN : "Whoever hits their father or their mother must be killed.

BNV : “যদি কোনও ব্যক্তি কাউকে চুরি করে দাস হিসেবে বিক্রি করতে চায় বা নিজের দাস করে রাখতে চায় তাহলে তাকে হত্যা করা হবে|
KJV : And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
YLT : `And he who stealeth a man, and hath sold him, and he hath been found in his hand, is certainly put to death.
RV : And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
RSV : "Whoever steals a man, whether he sells him or is found in possession of him, shall be put to death.

ERVEN : "Whoever steals someone to sell them as a slave or to keep them for their own slave must be killed.

BNV : “য়ে ব্যক্তি তার পিতা বা মাতাকে অভিশাপ দেয়, তাকে হত্যা করা হবে|
KJV : And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
YLT : `And he who is reviling his father or his mother is certainly put to death.
RV : And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
RSV : "Whoever curses his father or his mother shall be put to death.
ASV : And he that curseth his father or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
ESV : "Whoever curses his father or his mother shall be put to death.
ERVEN : "Whoever curses their father or mother must be killed.

BNV : “পরস্পর ঝগড়া করবার সময় যদি একজন অপর ব্যক্তিকে পাথর অথবা তার মুষ্টি দিয়ে আঘাত করে তাহলে তার শাস্তি পাওয়া উচিত্‌| য়ে আহত সে যদি মারা না যায় তবে য়ে আঘাত করেছে তাকে হত্যা করা হবে না|
KJV : And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with [his] fist, and he die not, but keepeth [his] bed:
YLT : `And when men contend, and a man hath smitten his neighbour with a stone, or with the fist, and he die not, but hath fallen on the bed;
RV : And if men contend, and one smiteth the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keep his bed:
RSV : "When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist and the man does not die but keeps his bed,
ASV : And if men contend, and one smite the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keep his bed;
ESV : "When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist and the man does not die but takes to his bed,
ERVEN : "Two men might argue and one might hit the other with a rock or with his fist. If the man who was hurt is not killed, the man who hurt him should not be killed.

BNV : আহত ব্যক্তি যদি কিছু সময়ের জন্য শয্যাশায়ী থাকে তাহলে য়ে আঘাত করেছে সে তার সমযের ক্ষতিপূরণ দেবে, যতদিন না আহত ব্যক্তি সুস্থ হয়ে ওঠে|
KJV : If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote [him] be quit: only he shall pay [for] the loss of his time, and shall cause [him] to be thoroughly healed.
YLT : if he rise, and hath gone up and down without on his staff, then hath the smiter been acquitted; only his cessation he giveth, and he is thoroughly healed.
RV : if he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.
RSV : then if the man rises again and walks abroad with his staff, he that struck him shall be clear; only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall have him thoroughly healed.

ESV : then if the man rises again and walks outdoors with his staff, he who struck him shall be clear; only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall have him thoroughly healed.
ERVEN : If the man was hurt and must stay in bed for some time, the man who hurt him must support him. The man who hurt him must pay for the loss of his time. He must support him until he is completely healed.

BNV : “কখনও কখনও মনিব তার পুরুষ বা স্ত্রী দাসদের প্রহার করে থাকে, যদি এই প্রহারে দাসটি মারা যায় তবে তার ঘাতক শাস্তি পাবে|
KJV : And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
YLT : `And when a man smiteth his man-servant or his handmaid, with a rod, and he hath died under his hand -- he is certainly avenged;
RV : And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall surely be punished.
RSV : "When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished.
ASV : And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall surely be punished.
ESV : "When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged.
ERVEN : "Sometimes people beat their slaves. If the slave dies after being beaten, the killer must be punished.

BNV : কিন্তু যদি দাসটি মারা না গিয়ে কযেকদিন বাদে সেরে ওঠে তবে তার মনিবকে কিছু বলা হবে না কারণ সে তার দাসের জন্য অর্থ ব্যয করে থাকে এবং সে দাসটি তার সম্পত্তি|
KJV : Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he [is] his money.
YLT : only if he remain a day, or two days, he is not avenged, for he [is] his money.
RV : Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
RSV : But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be punished; for the slave is his money.
ASV : Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.
ESV : But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.
ERVEN : But if the slave gets up after a few days, then the master will not be punished. That is because someone paid their money for the slave, and the slave belongs to them.

BNV : “দুটি মানুষ ঝগড়া করার সময় যদি কোনও গর্ভবতী মহিলাকে আঘাত করে এবং এর ফলে যদি তার গর্ভপাত হয়ে যায এবং অন্য কোন ক্ষতি না হয় তাহলে য়ে আঘাত করেছে সে শুধু তাকে জরিমানা দিয়ে ছাড়া পেয়ে যাবে| ঐ মহিলার স্বামী জরিমানার টাকার অংশ ঠিক করে দেবে| বিচারকরা এই ব্যাপারে তাকে সাহায্য করবে|
KJV : If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart [from her,] and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges [determine. ]
YLT : `And when men strive, and have smitten a pregnant woman, and her children have come out, and there is no mischief, he is certainly fined, as the husband of the woman doth lay upon him, and he hath given through the judges;
RV : And if men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely fined, according as the woman-s husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
RSV : "When men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that there is a miscarriage, and yet no harm follows, the one who hurt her shall be fined, according as the woman's husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
ASV : And if men strive together, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart, and yet no harm follow; he shall be surely fined, according as the womans husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
ESV : "When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman's husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine.
ERVEN : "Two men might be fighting and hurt a pregnant woman. This might make the woman give birth to her baby before its time. If the woman was not hurt badly, the man who hurt her must pay a fine. The woman's husband will decide how much the man must pay. The judges will help the man decide how much the fine will be.

BNV : কিন্তু যদি সেই মহিলার আঘাতের ফলে কোন ক্ষতি হয় তাহলে য়ে তাকে আঘাত করবে তাকে শাস্তি দেওয়া হবে, য়ে অন্যকে হত্যা করবে তাকেও মরতে হবে| একজনের জীবনের বদলে অন্যের জীবন নেওয়া হবে|
KJV : And if [any] mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
YLT : and if there is mischief, then thou hast given life for life,
RV : But if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
RSV : If any harm follows, then you shall give life for life,
ASV : But if any harm follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
ESV : But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life,
ERVEN : But if the woman was hurt badly, then the man who hurt her must be punished. The punishment must fit the crime. You must trade one life for another life.

BNV : তুমি চোখের বদলে চোখ নেবে, দাঁতের বদলে দাঁত, হাতের বদলে হাত, পায়ের বদলে পা নেবে|

BNV : কিন্তু যদি ষাঁড়টি ইতিপূর্বে কাউকে আঘাত করে থাকে এবং তার মালিককে সতর্ক করে দেওয়া হয়ে থাকে, তাহলে সেই মালিককে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করা হবে| কেননা সে জানা সত্ত্বেও ষাঁড়টিকে যথাস্থানে বেঁধে বা আটকে রাখে নি| আর যদি এরকম ষাঁড়কে ছেড়ে রাখার ফলে কারো প্রাণ যায তাহলে সেই ষাঁড় ও তার মালিক দুজনকেই পাথর দিয়ে আঘাত করে মেরে ফেলা হবে|
