“মহারাজ আপনি একজন পবিত্র দূতকে স্বর্গ থেকে নেমে আসতে দেখেছেন| তিনি বললেন, ‘গাছটিকে কেটে ফেলো এবং তাকে ধ্বংস কর, কিন্তু তার কাণ্ডের চারপাশে লোহা এবং পেতলের একটি শেকল দাও এবং কাণ্ডটিকে এবং এর শিকড়গুলিকে মাটিতে থাকতে দাও| মাঠে ঘাসের ওপর এটাকে থাকতে দাও যাতে শিশির পড়ে ওটা ভিজে যায়| বন্য জন্তুদের মধ্যে সে বেঁচে থাকুক এবং এই ভাবে সাতটি ঋতু শেষ হয়ে যাবে|”

And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and [let] his portion [be] with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;
