అష్షూరు రాజు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుగా హోషేయా వున్న తొమ్మిదో సంవత్సరమున షోమ్రోనును తీసుకున్నాడు. అష్షూరు రాజు చాలా మంది ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిని బంధించి, వారిని బంధీలుగా అష్షూరుకు తీసుకుని వెళ్లాడు. వారినతడు గోజాను వద్ద హాబోరు నదికి ప్రక్కగా హలాహు అనే చోటను, మాదీయుల ఇతర నగరాలలోను నివసింపజేశాడు.
