యెహోషాపాతు, యెహోరాము అహజ్యాలు యూదా రాజులుగా వున్నారు. వారు యోవాషు పూర్వికులు. వారు యెహోవాకు చాలా వస్తువులు సమర్పించారు. ఆ వస్తువులు ఆలయంలో ఉంచబడ్డాయి. యోవాషు కూడా చాలా వస్తువులు యెహోవాకు సమర్పించాడు. యోవాషు ఆలయంలోవున్న అన్ని వస్తువులు, బంగారం తీసుకున్నాడు. తన యింట్లో ఉన్న వాటిని కూడా తీసుకున్నాడు. తర్వాత యోవాషు ఆ విలువగల వస్తువులు సిరియా రాజైన హజాయేలుకి పంపాడు. అప్పుడు హజాయేలు యెరూషలేమునుండి వెళ్లిపోయాడు.

ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟ್, ಯೆಹೋರಾಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಅಹಜ್ಯರು ಯೆಹೂದದ ರಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು. ಅವರು ಅನೇಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಅವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನೂ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು. ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಅವುಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಆ ಬೆಲೆಬಾಳುವ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ರಾಜನಾದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡದೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದನು. 19”ಯೆಹೂದದ ರಾಜರುಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ” ಎಂಬ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಇತರ ಮಹಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ.

योवाशच्या आधी त्याचे पूर्वज यहोशाफाट, यहोराम आणि अहज्या हे यहूदाचे राजे होते. त्यांनी परमेश्वराला बऱ्याच गोष्टी अर्पण केल्या होत्या. त्या मंदिरातच होत्या. योवाशनेही बरेच काही परमेश्वराला दिले होते. योवाशने ती सर्व चीजवस्तू, घरातील तसेच मंदिरातील सोने बाहेर काढले. या मौल्यवान गोष्टी त्याने अरामचा राजा हजाएल याला पाठवल्या. यरुशलेमला त्यांची भेट झाली. हजाएलने त्या शहराविरुध्द लढाई केली नाही.
