तेव्हा अश्शूरच्या राजाच्या सेनापतीकरवी परमेश्वराने यहूदावर हल्ला केला. या सेनापतींनी मनश्शेला आकड्यांनी जखडून पकडले. त्याच्या हातात पितळी बेड्या ठोकल्या. अशा रितीने मनश्शेला कैद करुन त्यांनी बाबेलला नेले.
