యెహోషాపాతు మంచి వ్యక్తి. గతంలో తన తండ్రి నడచిన రీతినే ఇతడు కూడ నడిచాడు. యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞలను శిరసావహించాడు. కాని యెహోషాపాతు ఉన్నత స్థలాలను తీసివేయలేదు. ఆ స్థలాలలో ప్రజలు బలులు సమర్పించటం, ధూపం వేయటం వంటి ఆరాధనా కార్యక్రమాలు కొనసాగించారు.

ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸಿದವುಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ಅವನು ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಉನ್ನತಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶಗೊಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನರು ಆ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಧೂಪಹಾಕುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

ୟିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ ଅତି ଉତ୍ତମ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତା ଆସାଙ୍କର ପଥ ଅନୁସରଣ କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଯାହା ଯଥାର୍ଥ ତାହାହିଁ କଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀଗୁଡିକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସେ ସମୟରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସହେି ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ରେ ବଳିଦାନ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ ଓ ଧୂପ ଜଳାଇଲେ।

यहोशाफाट चांगला राजा होता. हा आपल्या वडीलांप्रमाणेच होता. परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे योग्य ते त्याने केले. पण यहोशाफाटने उंचावरील पूजास्थळे काढली नाहीत. लोक त्या ठिकाणी होम करणे, धूप जाळणे वगैरे करत राहिले.
