BNV : এই সব কথা শেষ করে যীশু তাঁর শিষ্যদের বললেন,

BNV : ‘তোমরা জানো, আর দুদিন পরই নিস্তারপর্ব শুরু হবে, তখন মানবপুত্রকে ক্রুশে দেবার জন্য শত্রুদের হাতে তুলে দেওযা হবে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}Ye know that after two days is [the feast of] the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified. {SCJ.}
YLT : `Ye have known that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of Man is delivered up to be crucified.`
RV : Ye know that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.
RSV : "You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of man will be delivered up to be crucified."

BNV : সেইসময় মহাযাজক কায়াফার বাড়ির উঠানে প্রধান যাজকরা ও ইহুদী নেতারা এসে ষড়যন্ত্র করতে বসল,
KJV : Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
YLT : Then were gathered together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, to the court of the chief priest who was called Caiaphas;

ERVEN : Then the leading priests and the older Jewish leaders had a meeting at the palace where the high priest lived. The high priest's name was Caiaphas.

BNV : য়েন তারা যীশুকে গ্রেপ্তার করতে পারে ও তাঁকে ফাঁদে ফেলে হত্যা করতে পারে৷
KJV : And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill [him. ]
YLT : and they consulted together that they might take Jesus by guile, and kill [him],
RV : and they took counsel together that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

BNV : তারা বলল, ‘আমরা নিস্তারপর্বের সময় একাজ করব না, তাতে লোকদের মধ্যে হয়তো গণ্ডগোল বাধতে পারে৷’
KJV : But they said, Not on the feast [day,] lest there be an uproar among the people.
YLT : and they said, `Not in the feast, that there may not be a tumult among the people.`
RV : But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.
RSV : But they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be a tumult among the people."

BNV : যীশু যখন বৈথনিযায় কুষ্ঠরোগী শিমোনের বাড়িতে ছিলেন সেই সময় একজন স্ত্রীলোক যীশুর কাছে এল৷
KJV : Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

BNV : তার কাছে শ্বেতপাথরেরবোতলে খুব দামী সুগন্ধি ছিল৷ যীশু যখন সেখানে খেতে বসেছিলেন, তখন সে ঐ আতর যীশুর মাথায় ঢেলে দিল৷
KJV : There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat [at meat. ]
YLT : there came to him a woman having an alabaster box of ointment, very precious, and she poured on his head as he is reclining (at meat).
RV : there came unto him a woman having an alabaster cruse of exceeding precious ointment, and she poured it upon his head, as he sat at meat.

ERVEN : While he was there, a woman came to him. She had an alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. She poured the perfume on Jesus' head while he was eating.

BNV : তাই দেখে তাঁর শিষ্যরা রেগে গেলেন, তাঁরা বললেন, ‘এভাবে অপচয় করা হচ্ছে কেন?
KJV : But when his disciples saw [it,] they had indignation, saying, To what purpose [is] this waste?
YLT : And having seen [it], his disciples were much displeased, saying, `To what purpose [is] this waste?
RV : But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

BNV : এটা তো অনেক টাকায় বিক্রি করা য়েত, আর সেই টাকা গরীবদের দেওযা য়েত৷’
KJV : For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
YLT : for this ointment could have been sold for much, and given to the poor.`

BNV : তারা যা বলাবলি করছিল, যীশু তা জানতে পেরে তাদের বললেন, ‘তোমরা এই স্ত্রীলোককে কেন দুঃখ দিচ্ছ? ও তো আমার প্রতি ভাল কাজইকরল৷
KJV : When Jesus understood [it,] he said unto them, {SCJ}Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus having known, said to them, `Why do ye give trouble to the woman? for a good work she wrought for me;

BNV : কারণ গরীবরা তোমাদের সঙ্গে সবসময়ইথাকবে৷কিন্তু তোমরা আমায় সব সময় পাবে না৷
KJV : {SCJ}For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. {SCJ.}
YLT : for the poor always ye have with you, and me ye have not always;
RV : For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
RSV : For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me.

BNV : আমার দেহের ওপর আতর ঢেলে দিয়ে সে তো আমাকে সমাধিতে রাখার উপয়োগী কাজইকরল৷
KJV : {SCJ}For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did [it] for my burial. {SCJ.}

KJV : {SCJ}Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, [there] shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. {SCJ.}
YLT : Verily I say to you, Wherever this good news may be proclaimed in the whole world, what this [one] did shall also be spoken of -- for a memorial of her.`
RV : Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which this woman hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
RSV : Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her."

ERVEN : The Good News will be told to people all over the world. And I can assure you that everywhere the Good News is told, the story of what this woman did will also be told, and people will remember her."

BNV : তখন বারো জন শিষ্যর মধ্যে একজন, যার নাম যিহূদা ঈষ্করিযোতীয়, সে প্রধান যাজকদের কাছে গিয়ে বলল,
KJV : Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
YLT : Then one of the twelve, who is called Judas Iscariot, having gone unto the chief priests, said,

BNV : ‘আমি যদি তাঁকে আপনাদের হাতে ধরিয়ে দিই, তবে আপনারা আমায় কি দেবেন বলুন?’ তারা তাকে গুনে গুনে ত্রিশটা রূপোর টাকা দিল৷
KJV : And said [unto them,] What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
YLT : `What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him up to you?` and they weighed out to him thirty silverlings,
RV : and said, What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they weighed unto him thirty pieces of silver.
RSV : and said, "What will you give me if I deliver him to you?" And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.

ERVEN : He said, "I will hand Jesus over to you. What will you pay me for doing this?" The priests gave him 30 silver coins.

BNV : সেই মুহূর্ত্ত থেকেই যিহূদা তাঁকে ধরিয়ে দেবার সুয়োগ খুঁজতে লাগল৷
KJV : And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
YLT : and from that time he was seeking a convenient season to deliver him up.
RV : And from that time he sought opportunity to deliver him {cf15i unto them}.
RSV : And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.

BNV : খামিরবিহীন রুটির পর্বের প্রথম দিনে যীশুর শিষ্যরা তাঁর কাছে এসে বললেন, ‘আপনার জন্য আমরা কোথায় নিস্তারপর্বের ভোজের আযোজন করব? আপনি কি চান?’
KJV : Now the first [day] of the [feast of] unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
YLT : And on the first [day] of the unleavened food came the disciples near to Jesus, saying to him, `Where wilt thou [that] we may prepare for thee to eat the passover?`
RV : Now on the first {cf15i day} of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where wilt thou that we make ready for thee to eat the passover?
RSV : Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Where will you have us prepare for you to eat the passover?"

ERVEN : On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the followers came to Jesus. They said, "We will prepare everything for you to eat the Passover meal. Where do you want us to have the meal?"

BNV : যীশু বললেন, ‘তোমরা ঐ গ্রামে আমার পরিচিত একজনের কাছে যাও, তাকে গিয়ে বল, ‘গুরু বলেছেন, আমার নির্ধারিত সময় কাছে এসে গেছে, আমি আমার শিষ্যদের সঙ্গে তোমার বাড়িতে নিস্তারপর্ব পালন করব৷”
KJV : And he said, {SCJ}Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. {SCJ.}
YLT : and he said, `Go away to the city, unto such a one, and say to him, The Teacher saith, My time is nigh; near thee I keep the passover, with my disciples;`
RV : And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
RSV : He said, "Go into the city to a certain one, and say to him, `The Teacher says, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.'"
ASV : And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
ESV : He said, "Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, 'The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.'"
ERVEN : Jesus answered, "Go into the city. Go to a man I know. Tell him that the Teacher says, 'The chosen time is near. I will have the Passover meal with my followers at your house.'"

BNV : তখন শিষ্যরা যীশুর কথামতো কাজ করলেন, তারা সেখানে নিস্তারপর্বের ভোজ প্রস্তুত করলেন৷
KJV : And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
YLT : and the disciples did as Jesus appointed them, and prepared the passover.

BNV : সন্ধ্যা হলে পর যীশু সেই বারো জন শিষ্য়ের সঙ্গে নিস্তারপর্বের ভোজ খেতে বসলেন৷
KJV : Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
YLT : And evening having come, he was reclining (at meat) with the twelve,
RV : Now when even was come, he was sitting at meat with the twelve disciples;
RSV : When it was evening, he sat at table with the twelve disciples;
ASV : Now when even was come, he was sitting at meat with the twelve disciples;
ESV : When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve.
ERVEN : In the evening Jesus was at the table with the twelve followers.

BNV : তাঁরা যখন খাচ্ছেন সেই সময় যীশু বললেন, ‘আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, তোমাদের মধ্যে একজন আমাকে শত্রুর হাতে তুলে দেবে৷’
KJV : And as they did eat, he said, {SCJ}Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. {SCJ.}
YLT : and while they are eating, he said, `Verily I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.`
RV : and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
RSV : and as they were eating, he said, "Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me."

ERVEN : They were all eating. Then Jesus said, "Believe me when I say that one of you twelve here will hand me over to my enemies."

BNV : এতে শিষ্যরা খুবই দুঃখ পেয়ে এক একজন করে যীশুকে জিজ্ঞেস করতে লাগলেন, ‘প্রভু, সে কি আমি?’
KJV : And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
YLT : And being grieved exceedingly, they began to say to him, each of them, `Is it I, Sir?`
RV : And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began to say unto him every one, Is it I, Lord?
RSV : And they were very sorrowful, and began to say to him one after another, "Is it I, Lord?"

ERVEN : The followers were very sad to hear this. Each one said, "Lord, surely I am not the one!"

BNV : তখন যীশু বললেন, ‘য়ে আমার সঙ্গে বাটিতে হাত ডোবালো, সেই আমাকে শত্রুর হাতে সঁপে দেবে৷
KJV : And he answered and said, {SCJ}He that dippeth [his] hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. {SCJ.}
YLT : And he answering said, `He who did dip with me the hand in the dish, he will deliver me up;
RV : And he answered and said, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
RSV : He answered, "He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me, will betray me.
ASV : And he answered and said, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
ESV : He answered, "He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me.
ERVEN : Jesus answered, "One who has dipped his bread in the same bowl with me will be the one to hand me over.

BNV : মানবপুত্রের বিষয়ে শাস্ত্রে য়েমন লেখা আছে, সেইভাবেই তাঁকে য়েতে হবে৷ কিন্তু ধিক্ সেই লোক, য়ে মানবপুত্রকে ধরিয়ে দেবে৷ সেই লোকের জন্ম না হওযাই তার পক্ষে ভাল ছিল৷
KJV : {SCJ}The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. {SCJ.}
YLT : the Son of Man doth indeed go, as it hath been written concerning him, but wo to that man through whom the Son of Man is delivered up! good it were for him if that man had not been born.`
RV : The Son of man goeth, even as it is written of him: but woe unto that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had not been born.
RSV : The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born."

ERVEN : The Son of Man will suffer what the Scriptures say will happen to him. But it will be very bad for the one who hands over the Son of Man to be killed. It would be better for him if he had never been born."

BNV : য়ে যীশুকে শত্রুর হাতে ধরিয়ে দিতে যাচ্ছিল, সেই যিহূদা বলল, ‘গুরু সে নিশ্চয়ই আমি নই ?’ যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘তুমি নিজেইতো একথা বলছ৷’
KJV : Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, {SCJ}Thou hast said. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Judas -- he who delivered him up -- answering said, `Is it I, Rabbi?` He saith to him, `Thou hast said.`
RV : And Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Is it I, Rabbi? He saith unto him, Thou hast said.
RSV : Judas, who betrayed him, said, "Is it I, Master?" He said to him, "You have said so."
ASV : And Judas, who betrayed him, answered and said, Is it I, Rabbi? He saith unto him, Thou hast said.
ESV : Judas, who would betray him, answered, "Is it I, Rabbi?" He said to him, "You have said so."
ERVEN : Then Judas, the very one who would hand him over, said to Jesus, "Teacher, surely I am not the one you are talking about, am I?" Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you."

BNV : তাঁরা খাচ্ছিলেন, এমন সময় যীশু একটি রুটি নিয়ে ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ দিলেন, আর সেই রুটি টুকরো টুকরো করে শিষ্যদের দিয়ে বললেন, ‘এই নাও, খাও, এ আমার দেহ৷’
KJV : And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed [it,] and brake [it,] and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, {SCJ}Take, eat; this is my body. {SCJ.}
YLT : And while they were eating, Jesus having taken the bread, and having blessed, did brake, and was giving to the disciples, and said, `Take, eat, this is my body;`
RV : And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it; and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

BNV : এরপর তিনি পানপাত্র নিয়ে ধন্যবাদ দিলেন আর পানপাত্রটি শিষ্যদের দিয়ে বললেন, ‘তোমরা সকলে এর থেকে পান কর৷
KJV : And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, {SCJ}Drink ye all of it; {SCJ.}
YLT : and having taken the cup, and having given thanks, he gave to them, saying, `Drink ye of it -- all;
